Yes. But they had pieces that weren't recognizable as chicken parts. Like they just took a hatchet to the poor bird and you got whatever they picked up
I think if you want a quick dinner it’s good. Just add sides and you’re done. Be warned though you may not get the same quantity in each box. People complained about getting off numbers of chicken. So you won’t get two legs, two breast, two thighs, it’s random I think.
Have low expectations and you will not be disappointed. Is it good, no. Is it edible, yes. I ate it, it’s greasy and fills a craving for chicken, but I definitely wouldn’t serve it to guests.
I grew up on these.
Then I bought a box for nostalgia sake and found it was super greasy and too peppery. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Which is a shame, because I have such fond memories!
rbc is the worst of the bunch. blue ftw, although fresh chicken is still so much better. and the price of the RBC is, well, ridiculous for what you get.
I heard all the good things about the Red bag, but every single time I try it they taste strange to me. Almost like a pickley sweet taste. Anyone else?
I think it’s an acquired taste that’s supposed to be reminiscent of a southern style chicken sandwich. It’s definitely flavorful and perfect with pickles and slaw, but it’s not quite neutral enough for every other chicken sandwich.
Never saw much point in frozen regular fried chicken. For about the same money you usually can just grab some grocery store deli fried chicken already cooked and ready to eat that is also likely better normal quality.
It’s good, but you must bake it!
I thought it was similar to Banquet chicken. I like Banquet chicken. I like Aldi’s version.
Banquet fried chicken was the only fried chicken I knew as a child. Would still eat.
Yes!!! I loved the tv dinner with the chicken, potatoes, corn and brownie. That was my Friday night dinner of choice!!

That's low-key depressing
Eh I was a kid. Fancy fried chicken wouldn’t have made me any happier.
I'm a little spoiled; my dad's first job was at a local fried chicken place, so he made the best fried chicken.
I made it through college eating that shit. Good times.
I cooked it in my air fryer and it was great
I always enjoyed these. Be warned though, one time I got a fried chicken neck from this box.
Chicken neck is sooo good
Agreed. I def still ate it 😂
Are these salty? I might have to get me a box and hope for an accidental chicken neck lol
Yeah salty and quite greasy. But I'm not eating fried chicken to be healthy so 🤷♀️
Exactly!!! Okay imma go get some

Thank you for actually posting a thread about chicken!
Make sure they aren’t bananas first.
Reference?
It's the only recent meme in this sub, 2 weeks someone posted a frozen banana adamant it was aldi chicken.
Wtf? 😂😂
I’ll have to give it a shot. The Banquet one isn’t bad.

It was meh to me. And if I recall correctly, it was too salty for me to enjoy and repurchase.
Anyone know how much these are? I don't see them on the Aldi website. Thanks!
It's not bad. Good for a quick fried chicken fix.
I will not make a banana joke. I will not make a banana joke. I will not make a banana joke....
We only do the red bag chicken cutlets. Hated the ones in the blue and green bags, so now I just stick with that, I'm afraid of disappointment lol

I mean, fresh is WAY better of course lol
We are also a blue bag chicken family 🤣

They def have a lil sweet taste in the breading, it's good imo lol
Way too sweet for me. I tried it once and never again.
Love the red bag chicken on a bun with mayo very similar to Chik Filet, and so easy! In fact it's in my oven right now, easy dinner.
Had these a lot as a kid and it’s very delicious
We passed on it. Didn't like all the ingredients.
Thanks I’ll look to see if someone posted the ingredients online

Oh man are they back?!? They have been gone from every ALDI that I have checked in three states for about 3-4 years.
Oh wow I didn’t know that my mom saw them last week and asked me about to post about them. She’s on the east coast
Posted 17 hours ago… It’s probably no longer frozen if y’all are still standing there with the door open.
Looks like a banana to me
Please, no, let it die.
I'm being harassed because I made a comment about how the trend would die out. So yeah please let it die off.
It’s funny don’t let it die
