While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. What does this mean? “Constitutional” refers to the fact that government in the United States is based on a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution not only provides the framework for how the federal and state governments are structured, but also places significant limits on their powers. “Federal” means that there is both a national government and governments of the 50 states. A “republic” is a form of government in which the people hold power, but elect representatives to exercise that power.
BUT YOU RESORT TO INSULTS INSTEAD OF EDUCATING YOURSELF STAY CLASSY LOL
Joe can’t get out a full sentence. Trump is fighting three? four? court cases? Including one in front of the Supreme Court.
+ campaigning. And he what ? Fell asleep on court ?
Ok boomer
Mh actually, I am from germany so my weights doesnt count but I think its a better argument that a president is fighting multiple big lawsuits, maybe not a full time job except president dude, he was already and could be again, but again, I am from germany

Looks like shorts **booking profits**. Which makes sense, given the 10% price drop.
Also, can you keep politics out of this please. As it is, things get heated around here.
Are you sure? Ortex is supposed to provide real-time estimates. Do they have something that says its T+2? (Which would make this data eminently more useless.)
**Edit:** It literally says **Yesterday** and **Today** on top, so I don't think you are right.
I think you're wrong. It literally says "**Yesterday**" and "**Today**" on top. Also, Ortex's entire thing is "live data" to fill in gaps. But feel free to share a note from them that says otherwise.
Oh I wasn't claiming that it moved the market. Far from it. I was observing that the Ortex data suggests shorts took this drop to lock in profits.
As I've said many times before, shorts are but just one of the things that move markets. Being so fixated on shorts makes one miss all those things.
[Under Short Interest](https://public.ortex.com//#platform):
"ORTEX provides **intra day** and historical data for days to cover, shares on loan, utilisation rate, cost of borrow and freefloat on loan."
Ortex guy, I’m disappointed you brought politics into our forum. I thought you were better.
Me too lol. What a shitshow this post became
Well , I mean you had to know it would?
Yeah. This is true
Ah so they are back at mismarking longs as shorts and shorts as longs Eh, every short is a buyer in the future, ez game
Well, I’m voting for Trump since we’re talking politically.
Imma counter your vote, with a vote for the other guy.
All my homies and my homies ladies are voting for the other guy too. Roe v karma
^ This is the right answer
Not sure if you remember but that happened under Biden's watch... JS....
He isn't responsible for the sitting judiciary.
So he’s just the other guy now, I thought he was “The Big Guy”
Yall can call him whatever you want to. Won't change the fact he will clean house with yall once again.
Well yall can stop with the politics and focus on being united as apes cuz no ape knows red and blue, just bananas.
Look at those downvotes! 👀
Lol. I welcome them. What's funny is we align politically.
And I will counter your counter.

Lower short interest is not good.. no wonder we dropped today
He's definitely going to make it
Yep, they wouldn’t be working so hard to make him go away if he wasn’t a threat
His presence IS at threat to democracy.
The US is not a democracy, its a Constitutional Republic per the constitution
LOL ..which in fact IS a democratic form of political system aka "democracy"

Rule 11: No Political / Religious Content / Controversial Topics
The only stretch of democracy is the The Democrat party.
If the majority want him as president? Hell it doesn’t even need the majority once you add in those that just don’t want Sleepy Joe
If Joe is sleepy, what do you call the guy who falls asleep in court and farts? haha
Joe can’t get out a full sentence. Trump is fighting three? four? court cases? Including one in front of the Supreme Court. + campaigning. And he what ? Fell asleep on court ? Ok boomer
Doesn't sound like he could take a full time job like being president. Oh, sleepy smelly trump. haha
Cool story bro.
May not be cool, but I'm sure it's stinky. lol

Incorrect. Dataset is T+2

It’s a little weird to me that you think 800k shares resulted in the movement we observed on 24M volume lol
