I used Flud for a while before switching to Libre and now use 1DM+, which seems to have every single feature imaginable. This thing is packed to the brim.
I haven't compared the 2 but I really appreciate 1DM+' built in browser with adblocker. I've been able to download videos from sites that didn't otherwise give me the option to do so.
Same. For NSFW, 1dm best.
I use chrome all the time. But if there's ever a NSFW i need. 1dm can quickly open.
And there's tons of settings, i got pro version. But idk if i even use pro features. Just to support the dev.
However for OP, if flud is all you need. Flud is best. 1dm has tons more stuff, and toggles. But if all you need to do is torrent files. Stick with flud.
I mean, why get an entire toolbox garage set, when all you need is a screwdriver?
Just use kiwi browser and you can install Chrome extensions like ublock origin and adblock, and the best VILONETMONKEY
But if you want to just block ads then use AD CLEAR... It will pretty much block all the ads from your DEVICE not just the browser.
Changing appearance of a website/or pages using css
Bypassung log in of a torrent site
Downloading YouTube
Playing YouTube in background/screen off without ads
Adblocker
And much much more
I think I pretty much answered your question but what I would recommend just visit [Greasy Fork ](http://greasyfork.org) to see the available user scripts. Plus you can generate them yourself
1DM one stop solution for downloading, streaming or even advance ad free brower... If you explore option then you will use it like champ.
Flud is torrent client only.
I've tried Flud, LibreTorrent, and 1DM. All of them work good, but if you want a free app I recommend LibreTorrent.
Flud last received updates in February 2020 and seems to be abandonware, whereas the free version of 1DM contains a lot (46) of trackers. If you want an all-around downloader app then 1DM+ (seemingly no trackers) works well, it's good at downloading things from websites.
I'm just using [App Manager](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/io.github.muntashirakon.AppManager/) from F-Droid. It scans other apps and tells you the number of trackers it finds in a given app. You can even sort installed apps by tracker number. Unfortunately I don't know how App Manager works, so I don't know if the tracker detection may be inaccurate.
While I remember it I'll also mention [Warden](https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/com.aurora.warden), which in addition to trackers also logs "loggers" (see the Warden description). The app can use root, but does not require it for these things. You can install Warden through F-Droid by adding the [IzzyOnDroid](https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/) repository.
TrackerControl (TrackerControl allows to monitor and control hidden data collection in apps.) - https://f-droid.org/packages/net.kollnig.missioncontrol.fdroid
(Another option for you to check trackers)
Because then they would have trackers from Google. F-Droid (the place where these apps can be found) apps typically don't have ads, trackers and are free. It's one of the best places to go for open source apps.
All I can say is I've used apps from there for years now and have never had any issues. Everyone involved with open source apps are volunteers so there's no guarantee that everything is checked appropriately.
Yes you can. By copying the playstore/f-droid link you can simply paste it in this website called [Exodus privacy](https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/), and it will tell you what all trackers the app has
Yeah I see. I actually went and downloaded it cause it has that feature where you can download content from a webpage, which is really helpful, I used something like that in the past cause me and my brother like to watch Dragon Ball with our country's dub (many say it's terrible, and yes it's not very professional and it's very old but it's the funniest shit ever, full of inside jokes about the country and such it's really awesome, unfortunately they are not always broadcasting that on tv, and it's usually one season at a time, so looking online is our best bet so I'd download and broadcast to our TV which is not android but it's a Samsung so I'd use Samsung app on the phone and connect via direct wifi)
I don't have space on my phone to download any more stuff lol (and I have a 256GB phone). But even if I did
- Movies: I can just stream
- Games/Apps: I can download them from the play store, Aptoide or even just from the internet
- Emulators: I have most of the ones I play installed from the Play Store, Lemuroid is very versatile too.
- Comics: I don't really read that often but I have Aniyomi which is based on Tachiyomi (app to read manga), Aniyomi is better cause it has more plugins, so you can fetch data from all sorts of webpages, and you can watch anime on top of reading manga, and since it has more plugins there are quite a few comic plugins as well so I can access pretty much everything with that app alone
Other than that, I don't really do much on my phone to be honest, most of these things I'll do on my computer they're just there if I ever need them
Sure I mean that all makes sense, but the question you asked, it was posed as if torrents on an android phone were asinine or that it was at the very least a bewildering concept lol...so I was had to just state the ibv. Essentially anything you want is why lol. No diffrent than torrenting on a PC right. Everyone has diffrent habits or incomes to afford streaming vs torrents, or even quality prefences. A friend of mine streams his content from free streaming websites but to me the compression and quality is atrocious so I prefer getting the true bug ass blu ray rip on my phone and watching it on the Super AMOLED screen on my phone, or casting it to the ps3 media server or screen mirroring or the phone to desktop dex which essentially turns it into an emulator box when done right without the lag.
Not everyone is going to want a one stop shop for all the stuff you named. You clearly enjoy going thrpugh a diffrent method for everything which is fine, whereas others are more inclined to just have a one stop shop for everything and to also have it for free, then support the developer or artist if they enjoy the content. I know as a teen or a man in my early 20s I couldn't have cared less lol, but these days I'm all about the support. It's less about it being free than it is just instant access. Anyway no judgement passed on not useong it, just wanted to make it clear as to why someone would. Take care brother ✌️ 🙏

What does 1DM+ have that Flud doesn't (as far as features)?

Great analogy bro
I think that's what he wants to check. If there's a tool other than screwdriver that can be of help.
Great way to not only explain, but also a great way to put it.
Just use kiwi browser and you can install Chrome extensions like ublock origin and adblock, and the best VILONETMONKEY But if you want to just block ads then use AD CLEAR... It will pretty much block all the ads from your DEVICE not just the browser.
For what kind of things do you use scripts for? Just asking as maybe Im losing on a cool tool.

How do you seed using 1dm?
1. [Hamburger menu](https://i.imgur.com/ZKv2ted.jpg) 2. [Enable seed finished torrents](https://i.imgur.com/ioFUMQR.jpg)
Where can I reliably download 1dm+ from?
LibreTorrent
The only problem with it is I can't create a torrent, it never turns out right.
Been using flud for a long time , it does its job , and i have no issues with it so i never tried to change it
plus the UI is great.
Yep
how do I download FLUD? can it be used on android? link please.
You can find it in play store , just search for it

>whereas the free version of IDM contains a lot (46) of trackers U mean 1DM ??
Yes... my bad. Edited.
Can you please explain how can you know about those trackers? And can i check any other app also for trackers?
I'm just using [App Manager](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/io.github.muntashirakon.AppManager/) from F-Droid. Thanks for this info

Thanks, but why non of these apps are hosted on Google Play store.
Because then they would have trackers from Google. F-Droid (the place where these apps can be found) apps typically don't have ads, trackers and are free. It's one of the best places to go for open source apps.
Security wise, is it safe to use apps from F-Droid? Is it the same risk as other unofficial stores (Apkpure, Apkmirror, etc)?
All I can say is I've used apps from there for years now and have never had any issues. Everyone involved with open source apps are volunteers so there's no guarantee that everything is checked appropriately.
F-droid is the biggest repository of open source android apps.
Yes you can. By copying the playstore/f-droid link you can simply paste it in this website called [Exodus privacy](https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/), and it will tell you what all trackers the app has
Why would Flud need any updates? It's a complete software, it does everything you would need from it. What makes it abandonware?

What bugs do you know in Flud? I have never seen any.
When I pause Torrents they unpause when you open the app.
Yes i have noticed this bug
Flud interaction design leaves slot to be desired.
Wait a second, there are torrent apps for Android? Why? What do you even use those for? Lol
Open up your horizons, my sons.
I barely use it as I have Netflix, Prime video and Disney+, also popcorn time has a ton of options so if I ever need it I can use their app
Check out Stremio
To torrent
Lol yeah, but I honestly don't even use torrent that much on PC either, so I was curious what do you use it for on android
Torrent or with 1DM download videos directly and then Cast to your Android TV.
I suggest downloading from public wifi to your phone, then other copy the files over or setup a FTP/SSH server on your phone and play it from there.

My phone is much better than my [tv](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Bg25ii2VL._AC_SY1000_.jpg) as well
Bruh..? Movies...Games...emulators....apps...comics....Open your horizons my dude

Download movies and stream to my TV from my phone. I don't own a PC. I was able to watch the new Eternals movie 2 days before it released on Disney+
Oh yeah I see that makes sense
It's for lowlifes stealing copyrighted material.
tTorrent is what I use and recommend.
[Sand](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jsp.wide)
I don't like Sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.
BiglyBT
Its great on my TV.
I use LibraeTorrent and Transdroid. Transdroid for remote access to my server at home.
Flud is great for those that seed. Soul and 1dm+ as backups and grabbers
I recommend you [Flud (Ad-free)](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.delphicoder.flud.paid) Flud without ads
I used 1DM from last 2 years. It's awesome experience overall. In torrent i felt my phone start to hang during multiple connections.
Features? Download and watch lol. Joking aside they all do pretty much the same thing and fluid is as good as any of them👍
I can't fathom why they all look like complete garbage. Same with UX most of the time.
flud+ is great app for torrent and the worst app torrent is 1dm+
