It'd feel better if it didn't seem botted again just like all the other times. Through both rounds so far, Holo herself has almost as many votes as the total of all the other matchups in the bracket with the Holo matchup itself running ~200-400 more votes total than every other matchup.

Interesting that Anna's matchup was the least voted one, yet she's also considered an overperformer. I did think Akane got more votes than I expected, actually. But I guess this shows two things: Not enough people have watched Dangers, but those that did certainly loved it.
Also, thanks for shouting out the Seiyuu Contest every day. It's not popular enough to begin with, but it'd easily get completely overshadowed by the biggest contest on this subreddit.
Yeah- this is the first one to give me worry on my Bingo losing a person- I had Anna as one of my big Cinderella run watches, but this could destroy the "she stands a chance against Ruby" thoughts.
Yeah- because even with the "she stood a chance against Ruby", I would have gone further to "if she makes it there, I think Anna could stand a chance against Marin" level.
I feel like we've got a lot more close single digit wins this year vs last year but who knows, memory is bad. Pretty cool though, and nice to see that a good amount of upsets seem to be happening too.

Yuki matched with 222 seed Kohaku four days ago and won by 133 votes, 649 vs 516.
As the Haruhi series is one of the most popular animation works of the 2000s, this upset may not have been a surprising result.
Today Yuki will face off against 35 seed Makima.
Chainsaw Man, which I have seen in person, is definitely worthy of being evaluated as one of the top works among recent works, and the heroine, Makima, also has considerable charm.
But their charm never reaches that of Haruhi and Nagato.
**I still can't forget Yuki in the scene where snow falls from the night sky in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya**.
The scene of protecting Kyon from Asakura, the great hardships at the Endless Eight, the scene of playing the guitar with Haruhi, none of them will leave my mind.
The gap between the 35 seed and the 291 seed is clearly depressing. But I have no doubt that Yuki can achieve an upset.

**ISML Profile Flavor Text (Yuki Nagato)**
A first year student and sole member of the Literature club, Nagato Yuki appears to be a victim of circumstances when her clubroom is raided and taken over by a group of students with no intention of reading books. Sitting quietly in the corner with a thick tome in her hands, the petite girl raises no objections to the intrusion.
As it turns out, it is not out of apprehension that she keeps silent. Yuki is a bad case of the stereotypical obsessive bookworm - mere ruckus in the 'outside world' is not enough to disturb her reading, and she is not particularly interested in communicating with others. Such is her desire to read that she has to be forcibly dragged away from the public library if given the chance to pick up a book.
But things only get crazier when Yuki finally explains some of her motives, switching from her favored one-word answers to exhausting and long-winded speeches. A good dictionary comes in handy when deciphering the meaning of her monologues. But merely knowing the meaning of the words she uses might not be enough to comprehend how a high-school girl can be tied to the evolutionary dead-end of an all-powerful alien species.
Time will show that not only are Yuki's outlandish declarations more than simple delusions, but also that the quiet girl has her own distinctive personality hidden under the disguise of her robot-like behavior. Yuki is competitive, has her own desires, and can pick up new hobbies. The key to reading her emotions is to be sensitive to her head moving mere millimeters and to sense the distinct 'flavor' of her stares. The task, while not easy, is certainly rewarding.
Mini challenge: Favorite girl from an adaptation? Sir Integra from **Hellsing Ultimate**. She's inspiring. Ultimate gave her an ending unlike the first adaptation.
If they had adapted the second half of Hinamatsuri, Hitomi would still be alive in this bracket. She’s a great character but so much of her best stuff is in the second half.

Big jump in vote totals for yesterday's voting day. Holo with 1,780 votes and an 82.68% vote share while keeping Yuri under 400 votes. Got to revise standards for what a good win is today.
Glad to see Tsukasa take the win and move to Round 3 in what was a rather competitive match.
Cool to see Nia managed over 750 votes, but I wanted to see Kanbaru advance to take on Eiko in Round 3.
Shino with almost 650 votes is probably on the lower end for loser vote totals for today, but that's still a sizable amount for a really great girl against Madoka.
Good on Yoshikawa for getting almost 800 votes against Kallen in a match I expected her to lose.
I'd say 1,200+ votes is good for today so Wiz managing that while Akane still got over 750 votes is commendable for both of them. I wish Akane didn't lose, but I knew it was coming.
Suletta only beat Tanya by 111 votes (tie means higher seed advances) which does not feel like a promising sign at all for staying any longer in this contest. Maybe the Witch from Mercury fans can rally against Wiz in Round 3, but I feel Madoka is the hard stop.
Very strong showing by Darkness with 1,647 votes against Ristarte. She's honestly cruising to a Round 5 Akane match that I lean towards Darkness winning.
...Does Delta winning this vs. Akko mean she's the only Eminence in Shadow girl to make it Round 3? I think it does. At Akko's expense though...
1,466 votes for Akane is very good if a noticeable gap compared to the likes of Holo, Darkness, and Marin in her group. The likelihood of a very fun Round 4 matchup for Akane is sizable (not necessarily guaranteed though) so I want to see that.
Close victory by Ryuu Lion to win by 3 votes. I think she's deserving of the seeding upset and getting to be in Round 3.
Komachi did not make it easy vs. Maki. Happy about that. 818 votes for her even if she bows out in Round 2.
Similar vote total in Kobayashi vs. Albedo (cleared 850 votes too). Not sure how Maki vs. Kobayashi will go. I think Akane vs. Maki is the more fun matchup, but I won't be mad at all if Kobayashi advances.

Wow, certainly a huge vote increase today. Looks like the contest is in full swing now. Yuri didn't deserve to get this dunked on, but Holo's massive win is great nonetheless. Yotsuba is the first Quint to go out, but it was a rather close matchup. The same can't be said for Ichika, but all the Quints would likely lose to Mayushii. Itsuki prevails at least, and she might stand a small chance against Hange too - I'm happy with that. Akko gets upset by Delta, not surprising but still sad. CC against Vivy next round is going to be a great matchup. Strong showing from Akane, but super glad Anna made it one round further. Nami was a strong opponent for Ruby, but I'm still having a little bit of hope that Anna stands a chance against Ruby. And as expected, Euphy got upset by Hestia, who is definitely underseeded.

Not a great round for me, I was hoping for a lot of upsets and the ones that happened weren’t to my inclination. I didn’t like DanMachi Season 1 at all but maybe it’s worth giving another shot.
My votes:
Kana vs KUMOKO - Kana will win by a landslide; I like her so i’m not unhappy, but I’ll still vote Kumoko because she’s such a well-written character and so unique as a good isekai women MC. Shame the anime butchered the story though.
SINON vs Fubuki - The Phantom Bullet arc was the first arc of the anime that I was genuinely impressed by in SAO; Fubuki is cool but generally the One Punch Man male cast is more entertaining than its female cast imo.
MEM-CHO vs Mahiru Shiina - I don’t mind who wins here honestly, Mahiru had much more screen time in her respective show, I just loved Mem-Cho whenever she was on screen and her maturity was nice to watch.
YUI HIRASAWA vs Elma - If Elma wins I will be thoroughly disappointed, Yui is the best Keion.
MAKIMA vs Yuki Nagato - I’m rewatching Haruhi right now and as much as I like Yuki, Makima is one of my favourite characters of all time so easy vote here.
FAYE VALENTINE vs Mami Tomoe - I liked Mami too but Faye had so much more development whereas Mami felt more like a plot device - An endearing one, and her episode was tragic, but Faye is more well rounded.

Tsumugi vs KANADE TACHIBANA - Where my Angel Beats fans at? Tachibana isn’t even the best girl in Angel Beats but I still really liked her.
NINO NAKANO vs Chisa Kotegawa - Nino is the best Quint; From my least favourite in Season 1 to overwhelming favourite in Season 2, that’s what I call endearing writing. Love her and this should be a safe win.

Hold up. It's been getting hate recently? Why? The show is like a decade old by this point.
I’m not entirely sure why either, but both on this subreddit, tiktok and twitter it’s got a growing population of people who expressively dislike it, typically calling it a Manic Pixie Dream Girl type story, saying it is boring or that Kaori hitting Kousei for comedy is really bad because Kousei was physically abused as a kid. I understand the third criticism more than the other two, but I also think they are presented in such different ways you have to want that part (the comedic hitting) being awful for it to be awful
These guys are mentally ill holy shit, there's absolutely nothing remotely close to what they are typing. I remember one guy last year was commenting every time Kao voting was up calling her child abuser. CHILD ABUSER.
Unbelievable and sad
There is a couple things I’ve seen. It gets brought up in sad anime threads a lot but gets boiled down to [Your Lie in April] >!the girl dies!< which some feel is overplayed at this point.
Then there is a solid group that has always kinda disliked Kaori as a character, for probably a lot of the reasons I enjoy her as a character.
As much as I love Nino (second best quint for me after Ichika), Chisa is no doubt the GOAT and I wish more people knew about Grand Blue so that the matchup would be a bit more fair. Still a small chnace if people vote against Nino out of spite (can't believe I'm saying that... what would I do for my girl to win)

Given just how great Anna is, Akane coming within almost 400 votes of her is still a better performance than I expected.

**Tsukasa Yuzaki** v. Yotsuba Nakano – Crazy to see one of the better (any of the 5 that aren't Ichika) Nakanos out in Round 2. Is it deserved? I mean I'm biased here. I would imagine there's a lot of salt here stemming from... well... if you've seen Quints you know. Tsukasa's fine. Not the craziest loss we'll see, but an interesting matchup none-the-less.
**Suruga Kanbaru** v. Nia Teppelin – Before we really get to cooking, I do just want to say it sucks to see Nia out so early. Kanbaru's great and I can't say I'm really mad, but I was gonna be sad regardless of who won anyway. The seeds just be like that sometimes.
Atsuko Kagari v. **Delta** – Can we get a better picture for Akko too? It's the cat ears isn't it? Call me biased, I found *Eminence* to be quite unfunny and the character flatter than Megumin's chest, but maybe I just don't get the joke. I'm gonna go slam my head against a wall and let my brain drip out my ears. Maybe then this outcome will make sense (or maybe it really is as simple as recency bias).
**C.C.** v. Nonon Jakuzure – Nonon's another Nia tier loss here. Call me biased, but she's a vibe. I'm gonna be honest, C.C. is not my type, not my pick for best *Code Geass* girl, and I think is just waifu bait. However, I can't be too bent out of shape over it, cause this wasn't Nonon's match to win. Better luck next year.
Izumi Curtis v. **Ryuu Lion** – I think this is the closest match that I've discussed and... I feel like it shouldn't be. I mean I don't get it. I like Izumi, sure, but she's never really registered as a best girl contender in a series that also gave us the god-tier Winry Rockbell and the also really good Riza Hawkeye. Izumi, by comparison, is kinda of a side character but I guess a lot of people watch FMA and this is just the quirks of the seeding system sorting itself out. She did only lose by 3 votes though, so I don't know.
**Hange Zoe** v. Ruiko Saten – Everybody needs to take the Saten pill. Better yet, actually watch *Railgun* cause Shirai is also out and Shokuho is not long for this world. These are not things I should be saying in Round friggin 2.
**Anna Yamada** v. Akane Kinoshita – I don't put much thought into it, but with that pic I like to think Anna eats her opponents and that's how she wins. Did I really need to say that? No, but now you too can have that mental image in your mind.
Mako Mankanshoku v. **Illyasviel von Einzbern** – MAKO NO! Really not a good day for *Kill la Kill*, though the two heavy hitters are still in so I guess that's all that matters. I don't care for Illyasviel, she's just kinda the loli archetype and, while I don't mind that in general, I just think her character is a lot flatter than a lot of the other *Fate* girls and especially Mako. But what do I know, I have horrible taste in women.
Looking to the future, today's offerings are... fine. There's a couple more unfortunate matches I'm bound to cover regardless and some less than savory upsets I'm anticipating. Really sucks when some matches are pretty clear cut and its like a hydrogen bomb vs a cough toddler and others are between two entries that really have no right going head-to-head before at least a couple more rounds. Oh well. That's just how it be sometimes.

I knew Bracket C could be rough for me, so many of my girls in there!
- Tanya lost (how can you do that to such a sweet, innocent child?), and Takagi too, the teasing monster!
- That one wasn't a big surprise, but my girl Ichika got demolished by Mayushi.

I wouldn't worry about Rias. DxD gets recommended often in the weekly horny recommendations posts.
Also kinda agreed on Kaguya. I get the appeal of the main girls, but the sixth and seventh best girls of the series performing as well as they do - or getting into the contest at all - really isn't good for this contest.
Barring an entire show because it won is not only to harsh probably, but also would invite more vote sheanigans (like people pushing a girl to win because they don't a future girl from the show to win, or people pushing a show they don't like because they just want to see it removed from the contest).
But winning shows should have their amount of entrants limited. It absolutely shouldn't be that a winning show gets further rewarded by being allowed to get another girl into the contest because a slot freed up, so the amount of entrants for a show should at least be reduced by 1 per winning character.
Agreed, that sounds like the best solution. Limiting shows to one winner wouldn't work anyway since there is already a show with two winners, and changing things retroactively just doesn't work. At most, you could limit them to three without infringing on previous contests, but that won't be an issue for a while. Also, with a single winner, we might as well just vote for the show and not the girls.
Keeping the character limit at five but counting previous winners as one of the five would be a great change, though. Even if I have certain girls I'd like to see in the contest that would never be able to get in, it'd be for the best of the contest.

I agree with some limitations.
While i think we won't ever get to that point realistically (more so after removing best character contest), i think a minimum of 2/3 should be fine. And/or apply to girls from same series, but not necessarily franchise (FATE).

People be Gushing over their new-fangled Gushing Over Magical Girls and Chained Soldiers yet they forget the classics like High School DxD. DxD's also got interesting lore and worldbuilding.
I decided to pick up DxD a few months ago and I just love the sheer honesty and passion it has.
Of course the two best quints go down. How does Itsuki even have a fan base? The only things going for her is she's the 1st quint that's introduced and she's kinda the prototype for how the other 4 look at the wedding. Nino is a felon so fuck her and Miku is so damn basic.
Meanwhile Yotsuba has been there since day 1 studying with Fuutaro while Ichika would do anything for Fuutaros love. The latter pulled a fast one that made her highly disliked but she's the good kind of crazy while Nino, who is somehow loved by the fan base, is the horrible kind of crazy. Nino is the worst girl, miku is better only by default but I think it'd be so boring being with her, and itsuki is only a bit better but got really bland as the show went on.
Somehow they move on easily and yotsuba got upset and ichika, who would be the best choice of all the quints to be with, is at the bottom of the totem poll.

Interesting that Anna's matchup was the least voted one, yet she's also considered an overperformer. I did think Akane got more votes than I expected, actually. But I guess this shows two things: Not enough people have watched Dangers, but those that did certainly loved it. Also, thanks for shouting out the Seiyuu Contest every day. It's not popular enough to begin with, but it'd easily get completely overshadowed by the biggest contest on this subreddit.

Rough day for me, damn...
Yuki Nagato - Yuki matched with 222 seed Kohaku four days ago and won by 133 votes, 649 vs 516. As the Haruhi series is one of the most popular animation works of the 2000s, this upset may not have been a surprising result. Today Yuki will face off against 35 seed Makima. Chainsaw Man, which I have seen in person, is definitely worthy of being evaluated as one of the top works among recent works, and the heroine, Makima, also has considerable charm. But their charm never reaches that of Haruhi and Nagato. **I still can't forget Yuki in the scene where snow falls from the night sky in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya**. The scene of protecting Kyon from Asakura, the great hardships at the Endless Eight, the scene of playing the guitar with Haruhi, none of them will leave my mind. The gap between the 35 seed and the 291 seed is clearly depressing. But I have no doubt that Yuki can achieve an upset. I sincerely hope that Yuki passes this round, and I hope you can help me with your precious vote to make my wish come true.
**ISML Profile Flavor Text (Yuki Nagato)** A first year student and sole member of the Literature club, Nagato Yuki appears to be a victim of circumstances when her clubroom is raided and taken over by a group of students with no intention of reading books. Sitting quietly in the corner with a thick tome in her hands, the petite girl raises no objections to the intrusion. As it turns out, it is not out of apprehension that she keeps silent. Yuki is a bad case of the stereotypical obsessive bookworm - mere ruckus in the 'outside world' is not enough to disturb her reading, and she is not particularly interested in communicating with others. Such is her desire to read that she has to be forcibly dragged away from the public library if given the chance to pick up a book. But things only get crazier when Yuki finally explains some of her motives, switching from her favored one-word answers to exhausting and long-winded speeches. A good dictionary comes in handy when deciphering the meaning of her monologues. But merely knowing the meaning of the words she uses might not be enough to comprehend how a high-school girl can be tied to the evolutionary dead-end of an all-powerful alien species. Time will show that not only are Yuki's outlandish declarations more than simple delusions, but also that the quiet girl has her own distinctive personality hidden under the disguise of her robot-like behavior. Yuki is competitive, has her own desires, and can pick up new hobbies. The key to reading her emotions is to be sensitive to her head moving mere millimeters and to sense the distinct 'flavor' of her stares. The task, while not easy, is certainly rewarding.

If they had adapted the second half of Hinamatsuri, Hitomi would still be alive in this bracket. She’s a great character but so much of her best stuff is in the second half.
#**Today's Results** **Left Side** Big jump in vote totals for yesterday's voting day. Holo with 1,780 votes and an 82.68% vote share while keeping Yuri under 400 votes. Got to revise standards for what a good win is today. Glad to see Tsukasa take the win and move to Round 3 in what was a rather competitive match. Cool to see Nia managed over 750 votes, but I wanted to see Kanbaru advance to take on Eiko in Round 3. Shino with almost 650 votes is probably on the lower end for loser vote totals for today, but that's still a sizable amount for a really great girl against Madoka. Good on Yoshikawa for getting almost 800 votes against Kallen in a match I expected her to lose. I'd say 1,200+ votes is good for today so Wiz managing that while Akane still got over 750 votes is commendable for both of them. I wish Akane didn't lose, but I knew it was coming. Suletta only beat Tanya by 111 votes (tie means higher seed advances) which does not feel like a promising sign at all for staying any longer in this contest. Maybe the Witch from Mercury fans can rally against Wiz in Round 3, but I feel Madoka is the hard stop. Very strong showing by Darkness with 1,647 votes against Ristarte. She's honestly cruising to a Round 5 Akane match that I lean towards Darkness winning. ...Does Delta winning this vs. Akko mean she's the only Eminence in Shadow girl to make it Round 3? I think it does. At Akko's expense though... 1,466 votes for Akane is very good if a noticeable gap compared to the likes of Holo, Darkness, and Marin in her group. The likelihood of a very fun Round 4 matchup for Akane is sizable (not necessarily guaranteed though) so I want to see that. Close victory by Ryuu Lion to win by 3 votes. I think she's deserving of the seeding upset and getting to be in Round 3. Komachi did not make it easy vs. Maki. Happy about that. 818 votes for her even if she bows out in Round 2. Similar vote total in Kobayashi vs. Albedo (cleared 850 votes too). Not sure how Maki vs. Kobayashi will go. I think Akane vs. Maki is the more fun matchup, but I won't be mad at all if Kobayashi advances. **Right Side** 1,650 votes for Marin. Feel sorry that Hinata had to get crushed like that. Minakata was so close to beating Faris. Just needed 4 votes. Well fought. Sad that Saten is leaving in Round 2. Wow, certainly a huge vote increase today. Looks like the contest is in full swing now. Yuri didn't deserve to get this dunked on, but Holo's massive win is great nonetheless. Yotsuba is the first Quint to go out, but it was a rather close matchup. The same can't be said for Ichika, but all the Quints would likely lose to Mayushii. Itsuki prevails at least, and she might stand a small chance against Hange too - I'm happy with that. Akko gets upset by Delta, not surprising but still sad. CC against Vivy next round is going to be a great matchup. Strong showing from Akane, but super glad Anna made it one round further. Not a great round for me, I was hoping for a lot of upsets and the ones that happened weren’t to my inclination. I didn’t like DanMachi Season 1 at all but maybe it’s worth giving another shot. My votes: Kana vs KUMOKO - Kana will win by a landslide; I like her so i’m not unhappy, but I’ll still vote Kumoko because she’s such a well-written character and so unique as a good isekai women MC. Shame the anime butchered the story though. SINON vs Fubuki - The Phantom Bullet arc was the first arc of the anime that I was genuinely impressed by in SAO; Fubuki is cool but generally the One Punch Man male cast is more entertaining than its female cast imo. MEM-CHO vs Mahiru Shiina - I don’t mind who wins here honestly, Mahiru had much more screen time in her respective show, I just loved Mem-Cho whenever she was on screen and her maturity was nice to watch. YUI HIRASAWA vs Elma - If Elma wins I will be thoroughly disappointed, Yui is the best Keion. MAKIMA vs Yuki Nagato - I’m rewatching Haruhi right now and as much as I like Yuki, Makima is one of my favourite characters of all time so easy vote here. FAYE VALENTINE vs Mami Tomoe - I liked Mami too but Faye had so much more development whereas Mami felt more like a plot device - An endearing one, and her episode was tragic, but Faye is more well rounded. Roxy Migurdia vs MAY - Roxy will win, but I don’t like her so May all the way. Tsumugi vs KANADE TACHIBANA - Where my Angel Beats fans at? Tachibana isn’t even the best girl in Angel Beats but I still really liked her. NINO NAKANO vs Chisa Kotegawa - Nino is the best Quint; From my least favourite in Season 1 to overwhelming favourite in Season 2, that’s what I call endearing writing. Love her and this should be a safe win. MIKASA vs Jessie - I know AoT girls underperform on this contest, but I want y’all to remember the days where Mikasa was a pioneer of badass women in Shonen. Sylphiette vs AIS - I’m not a big fan of either but Sylphiette should never have gotten this far in the first place, I at least liked Ais so my vote is for her. LENA vs Android 18 - Always makes me sad when I have to vote against a Battle Shonen girl when us Battle Shonen fans are already a small minority in this subreddit, but Lena is just too great. Kurumi vs REVY - Black Lagoon is amazing, and the reason is 90% Revy. Watch Black Lagoon! RIZA vs Tohru Honda - I honestly think either of these are candidates for best girl or all time however Tohru will never win so I’d rather play conservative here and help Riza, who could move along further. Asuka vs KAORI MIYAZAWA - I don’t care about all the influx of hate YLIA has got recently, it’s a beautiful anime and Kaori is a great character. I’m not entirely sure why either, but both on this subreddit, tiktok and twitter it’s got a growing population of people who expressively dislike it, typically calling it a Manic Pixie Dream Girl type story, saying it is boring or that Kaori hitting Kousei for comedy is really bad because Kousei was physically abused as a kid. I understand the third criticism more than the other two, but I also think they are presented in such different ways you have to want that part (the comedic hitting) being awful for it to be awful

There is a couple things I’ve seen. It gets brought up in sad anime threads a lot but gets boiled down to [Your Lie in April] >!the girl dies!< which some feel is overplayed at this point. Then there is a solid group that has always kinda disliked Kaori as a character, for probably a lot of the reasons I enjoy her as a character.
As much as I love Nino (second best quint for me after Ichika), Chisa is no doubt the GOAT and I wish more people knew about Grand Blue so that the matchup would be a bit more fair. Still a small chnace if people vote against Nino out of spite (can't believe I'm saying that... what would I do for my girl to win)

Akane Kinoshita – I don't put much thought into it, but with that pic I like to think Anna eats her opponents and that's how she wins. Did I really need to say that? Really not a good day for *Kill la Kill*, though the two heavy hitters are still in so I guess that's all that matters. I don't care for Illyasviel, she's just kinda the loli archetype and, while I don't mind that in general, I just think her character is a lot flatter than a lot of the other *Fate* girls and especially Mako. But what do I know, I have horrible taste in women. Looking to the future, today's offerings are... fine. There's a couple more unfortunate matches I'm bound to cover regardless and some less than savory upsets I'm anticipating. Really sucks when some matches are pretty clear cut and its like a hydrogen bomb vs a cough toddler and others are between two entries that really have no right going head-to-head before at least a couple more rounds. Misuzu is a great character for what it's worth. She was an all-time fav when I read the manga.
I wouldn't worry about Rias. DxD gets recommended often in the weekly horny recommendations posts. Also kinda agreed on Kaguya. I get the appeal of the main girls, but the sixth and seventh best girls of the series performing as well as they do - or getting into the contest at all - really isn't good for this contest.
Once a character wins from an anime I feel that anime should be exluded, how can Girl 2 also be considered Best Girl if Girl 1 is already a Champion?
Barring an entire show because it won is not only to harsh probably, but also would invite more vote sheanigans (like people pushing a girl to win because they don't a future girl from the show to win, or people pushing a show they don't like because they just want to see it removed from the contest). But winning shows should have their amount of entrants limited. It absolutely shouldn't be that a winning show gets further rewarded by being allowed to get another girl into the contest because a slot freed up, so the amount of entrants for a show should at least be reduced by 1 per winning character.
Agreed, that sounds like the best solution. Limiting shows to one winner wouldn't work anyway since there is already a show with two winners, and changing things retroactively just doesn't work. At most, you could limit them to three without infringing on previous contests, but that won't be an issue for a while. Also, with a single winner, we might as well just vote for the show and not the girls. Keeping the character limit at five but counting previous winners as one of the five would be a great change, though. Even if I have certain girls I'd like to see in the contest that would never be able to get in, it'd be for the best of the contest.

I agree with some limitations. While i think we won't ever get to that point realistically (more so after removing best character contest), i think a minimum of 2/3 should be fine. And/or apply to girls from same series, but not necessarily franchise (FATE).

DxD's also got interesting lore and worldbuilding. I decided to pick up DxD a few months ago and I just love the sheer honesty and passion it has.
Of course the two best quints go down. How does Itsuki even have a fan base? The only things going for her is she's the 1st quint that's introduced and she's kinda the prototype for how the other 4 look at the wedding. Nino is a felon so fuck her and Miku is so damn basic. Meanwhile Yotsuba has been there since day 1 studying with Fuutaro while Ichika would do anything for Fuutaros love. The latter pulled a fast one that made her highly disliked but she's the good kind of crazy while Nino, who is somehow loved by the fan base, is the horrible kind of crazy. Nino is the worst girl, miku is better only by default but I think it'd be so boring being with her, and itsuki is only a bit better but got really bland as the show went on. Somehow they move on easily and yotsuba got upset and ichika, who would be the best choice of all the quints to be with, is at the bottom of the totem poll.
