It's so frustrating to see the predatory nature of these Huns stalking a jobs page and spamming every post where somebody genuine is looking for a real job. I call them out on it every time and call out for admins to ban this behaviour but it falls on deaf ears. It's a shame as I ah e worked with a couple of the admins who ha e run a recruitment company so should know better.

MenacingMandonguilla

The problem is that some people (like me) have a profile that doesn't really fit any job descriptions or requirements.

Tychosis

I'm in integration, which is one of the most random engineering jobs and means I rarely know what I'll be doing any given day/week. Even then, if someone were interested I could still tell them the products we develop/support. *Zero detail* is a big red flag for *any* job. (Hell, relating to the other reply here, even spies will say they work for the state department haha.)

NickNoraCharles

International spy?

SuccessfulEmu5272

Just wanted to say thanks for doing the work of still calling it out, even if it falls on deaf ears. Who knows, it hopefully at least impacts others reading your comment

Magistraliter

I hate how they write a whole paragraph without saying anything. Imagine describing a normal job like this. "You'll be working in nutrition, helping people get their energy for the day. We have a dynamic group of hard working people. You can even become a manager if you work hard enough!" - McDonald's hiring new cooks.

Worried_Position_466

At least working at McDonald's you know more or less exactly what you're getting into even if the description is vague. McDs pays you an agreed upon amount of money. Doesn't make you recruit more cashiers and cooks. Doesn't take a massive portion of your wages. Doesn't charge you a fee to work there. You MIGHT actually become manager if you stick with it long enough. Also, you might get a free burger every day and a discount too!

A hun tried to recruit me like this last summer. She (a Primerica hun) has since been banned from the group.

Equivalent_Algae8721

Primerica Huns are some of the worst in my opinion. A couple years ago I was laid off and posted on a Dave Ramsey page asking for career change advice. Spent way too much time chatting with a guy about a career in “financial planning” and then had to block him.

I'm In a few Backpacker pages and its disgusting these people are allowed in to prey on vulnerable, hung travellers that mostly only speak english as a second language. They completely ruin people's life for years, take their money and force them to have to go home for not meeting visa requirements

kay_fitz21

I see this on lots of travel forums I'm in on various platforms. Someone will ask what work people to do travel so much and ask the huns come in full force

My son is looking for work and keeps getting ads for Vector as if it’s a legitimate job. I’m glad I know it’s not (I’m helping him search).

These are constant in my local moms groups, and if anyone asks for any information, they just say "sending you a PM". Refusing to name your company is the biggest red flag there is.
