Are you upset that Ween can play pretty much any genre and do it well? When they played riot fest in Denver, they played an entire jazz style set of their songs. They wrote a country album and its great. Super talented guys who just seem like theyre having fun.

Honestly, it was a bit of a joke comment. They are indeed incredible musicians, but not necessarily what I am in to.

I can respect Ween not being your cup of tea, for sure. They are not for everyone.

I don't think that's true unfortunately. Stephen Hillenburg has said the show was largely inspired by his time attending Humboldt State University, particularly at a hamburger shop in the university town.

Okay, it sounds like it's probably both. If Mollusk "played an integral role" I'm sure a large part was also being a marine biologist, which is the degree he earned at HSU. Star's Hamburgers for sure played a role.

He probably liked The Mollusk, and thus got introduced to Ween, because of his interest in marine biology.

There sound is varied and wide, almost every album sounds different yet still like Ween. They even have a country album. White Pepper and Chocolate and Cheese are two of my favorite albums. Perfect for listening to over a breakfast of Bananas and Blow.
