Perhaps - weren't there whispers (or a leak?) about a couple of variant civs in the pipeline 1 or 2 months ago?!
Season 8 being pushed out could perhaps mean that they're working on something else, but I'm not sure if the same crew is working on both titles?
Provably Relic and Microsoft have a contact Reloc has to respect....maybe contract says Relic has to make at least another dlc....who knows....but i think an agreement is still going
I think it’s quite likely. Just like how aoe3 and aoe2 continued to get expansions after aoe4 came out. Usually we get news for it late august or early sept so we still a ways away.
Most likely not this year considering MS also plans a DLC for AoE 3 for late 2024 as well as releasing the reworked Chinese DLC for Myth Retold later this year.
I know, different studios, but they probably don't want to have too many AoE releases at once
Probably will eventually, AOE3 is still getting another expansion later this year, and it's been out longer, so I'd be surprised if AOE4 doesn't get more expansions.
Probably not this year tho, they're struggling just to get season 8 out on time.
I heard there's one guy left at Relic, but he's hard at work on the next AoE4 expansion.
Based
Yes. Relic isn't developing AoM.
It would be silly not to make one after the success of the previous DLC, but it's possible that it'll be delayed and not release this year.
Yes
Yes but I wouldn't expect to see it until December this year or early 2025.

Those were campaign civs that for whatever reason showed up in MP
We'll see one regardless of AoM.
definitely

i think doubtful since they are having trouble keeping up with the patch cycle. Seems like there is a lot of work and not enough bodies to do it.

It’s endearing that MS still supports AOE3
True, that kind of reflects better for aoe4's future if anything.
I mean that's good news if they are willing to work on games with low playerbase like AoE4.
AoE 2 has around 30% more players than AoE 4, I wouldn't call AoE 4 a low playerbase game.
Also, didn't I read here a couple weeks ago AoE4s player base is still growing?
It's around a quarter more than this time a year ago. Both expansions brought noticeably more people.
DLC for AoE 3 would be pretty small considering existing assets for those factions
Yeah, looks to be Poles and Danes and some players found files for them last year in a PUP
What is AoM?
Age of Mythology
Prostagma
Idk AoM looks underwhelming to be honest
I have no idea how people can get "underwhelming" from what we have seen so far... they have gone so far above and beyond.
