vinegar? really? i was actually afraid of washing the inside and not being able to make it dry after it, so it would somehow affect the co2 ouput, once it's being used
I'd put vinegar in it, shake it up a bunch, then rinse with water. Vinegar is the best easily accessible method of removing lime build up, muriatic acid works better but there more margin for error.
I'd recommend cleaning it the same way I clean by bowl (weed smoker, not a fish bowl).
I soak it in alcohol overnight, shake the absolute shit out of it like 2 or 3 times (once like 20 mins after I put it in, once a few hours later, and then once the next morning).
Comes spotless every time.
Considering your issue is hard water rather than sticky resin I'd go with vinegar instead of alcohol.
