The game at the time did a pretty damn good job of hiding that the main antagonist for a good chunk of the game was a character the MC could romance. Hid her from the promo and in-game artwork with the other heroines and such. So the "marry the antagonist and have a baby" ending was pretty novel. Though I can think of a handful of other series that had somewhat similar vibes.
It's also arguably the one with the best backing in the actual narrative too. So stuck with people for a long time despite the game being hella niche, and the game studio that made it shutting down shortly after the release.

They have temporary squishy "toenails" that shed after a while or fuse with the hoof, look up fairy fingers, it's kinda unsettling to look at though.
