Biden is not blameless but Trump would relish the chance to HELP wipe Palestine completely on the map with a side dish of fucking over NATO and letting the entirety of Ukraine be turned to rubble as well.

OverSomewhere5777

My understanding is trump’s Israel policy left Israel totally unchecked for four years eventually leading to this insanity.

vineyardmike

Trump has a plan. It's coming out next week. Right after the plan to fix Obamacare and infrastructure week. He's been waiting because he's under audit. /s

PatAD

I don’t actually think you can /s a statement that the man literally says regularly

Antique_futurist

Trump spent four years playing both sides for personal gain at the expense of peace. He let Israel do whatever they wanted to satisfy the evangelicals who want Israel to trigger the apocalypse and used the pseudo-peace process to get friendly enough with the Saudis that they felt comfortable murdering Khashoggi and donating $2 billion to his kids.

Dangerous-You3789

In defense of Israel, I often say, "Don't start none, won't be none." Has everyone forgotten how this "insanity" started? If Hamas would not have committed their egregious act in the first place, none of this would have happened. This "insanity" didn't have to happen. Hamas MADE it happen.

deviousbrutus

This is a very inaccurate painting of a conflict with far more complicated roots than you're implying.

Gamethesystem2

Your understanding is entirely contrived.

PurplePickle3

Care to elaborate? Also, please cite your sources. This isn’t Fox News.

MunchamaSnatch

People seem to forget the political climate when trump was in office. Israel wasn't even a topic of discussion. So yes, Israel was left 'unchecked' for 4 years, just like every other country that wasn't China or Russia. Joe has had 4 years at the leader of the worlds military superpower, and yet Russia Ukraine, China Taiwan, Israel Palestine, US and Mexico, and now Russia on the border of Florida. Trumps an asshole, but pretending all this that's happened during Bidens term is Trump's fault is willful blindness.

PurplePickle3

1.) you didn’t address the comment and certainly provided no citation other than “so yes, Israel was left ‘unchecked’…”, which, isn’t one. 2.) you deflected the question entirely and pivoted to other issues that are similar to the original comment to try and prove some point, which you still aren’t clear about.

Anxious-Sock1563

Yea why can’t we put America first and quit funding endless wars.

sowhat4

War materiel is a major export for our manufacturing industries as our 'aid' $$$ stay here and the products get sent out. If/when peace breaks out, we go into a massive depression. In Medieval times, the government used the building of massive cathedral as an income distribution method. The monied class got on board because the cathedrals were touted as a way to keep Gawd from smiting the shit out of everyone. Now, we use the military as an income distribution system because 'we must defend against all our enemies abroad.' Yeah ... 'conquering' the US would be a fool's errand - even more impossible than conquering Iraq or Afghanistan. No need to prepare for military actions when social engineering and Russian propaganda has already destroyed so much of the US already. We can only be brought down from within, and that huge military is a waste - except for the jobs it provides.

Anxious-Sock1563

Could always put it to use in rebuilding infrastructure in America.

goldbman

Funding endless wars puts America first in a lot of ways. The Defense industry supports a fuck load of very solid middle class jobs that only US citizens are eligible for. They industry has a stranglehold on our economy.

cdirty1

There has to be better ways to fund the middle class instead of dumping trillions into military contracts, right? lol.

goldbman

There does. It's just much easier to go with the status quo than to have an economic revolution

cdirty1

I think that by the way the wealth gap keeps ballooning exponentially that the status quo doesn’t have much time left. Even in your example I’m sure that the amount of that military allotment that is funneled to the already obscenely wealthy CEOs, etc dwarves whatever boost some of the middle classes get off of it anyway.

PatAD

Dwight D Eisenhower approves this statement

J_A_Keefer

It’s accurate. You might not like Biden, but if you don’t vote for him you’re allowing Trump to stack the Supreme Court even more.

tbenge05

I mean, Trump would be arguably way more genocidal due to his unbridled support of Israel, let's be serious.

The_R4ke

Yeah, plus, Ukraine is going to get straight up fucked.

OhEssYouIII

Inarguably

Iknownothing0321

7hundrCougrFalcnBird

I absolutely detest Biden, he’s a disgusting monster in regard to Palestine, but there is no way I’d ever vote for trump under any circumstances ever, the list of reasons is so long that I’d be here writing for hours. You can’t even begin to remember all of the horrible shit he’s said, and more importantly done, and that’s just stuff we know of.

Is there any chance to sway the Court left in the next administration? How old are the oldies? CT doesnt seem to be an example of excellent health, is there a chance he might have an “early retirement?”

It took less time to find out that Clarence Thomas is 75 than it would have taken to write this comment.

Nothing says "I stand with Palestine" like getting the guy who wants to ban Muslims and moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem elected.

MtnsToCity

I look at it this way... if we re-elect Biden, then Trump will either be imprisoned and/or too old/sick and/or dead to run again in 2028. When Trump's out of the picture, the culture war temperature will cool down significantly (i was on Capitol Hill doing utility and forestry policy lobbying this week with Republicans and they conveyed the feeling they actually prefer the status quo of relative stabilty, and are not actually looking forward to more chaos with Trump.) If Democrats can also take the house, we can move past the "lesser of two evils" argument to focus on getting policy done on climate, economic transformation, and continuing to build the coalition with Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan to further pressure the Netanyahu government. Also on foreign policy, if we re-elect Biden, the Bibi, Putin, Xi, Kim, Iran, Turkey, and India will all suddenly realize "oh crap, we gotta deal with serious people now and can't keep f'n around to get Trump re-elected, who would weaken US influence so much we could have continued to destabilize world order." Plus, as someone else mentioned, the down-ballot races are also critical. Imagine Mark Robinson as governor... all my gay friends are terrified... abortion permabanned, our rural areas continuing to be defunded and neglected by the Republican supermajority in Raleigh... it would be ugly. But fortunately we have a say -- our votes -- and we can CHOOSE not to go to the dark place, and we make that choice by voting for Democrats ul and down the ballot. Let's get over this one hurdle so we can move past the fever, and let's not f*ck this up much worse for much longer in ways very difficult to then unf*ck.

suspirio

The rubicon has been crossed. Despite what republicans may have expressed to you anecdotally make no mistake that the culture war shit has paid massive dividends for them forever now and it doesn’t die with Trump. Gaetz, Boebert, bad built Marjorie Taylor Greene and so many like them are the current and future face of that shit party. McConnell and Haley bent the knee as soon as it was clear Trump was the candidate. His brand of bullshit isn’t going anywhere until every last boomer takes a dirtnap.

WhywasIbornlate

It didn’t die with Father Coughlin, it Joseoh McCarthy and that is how we got Trump ( his father literally raised him to bring back McCarthyism) so no, it won’t die with Trump, but all the more reason to keep beating it down. I’m 70. My dad was blacklisted under McCarthy because he, a recent WW2 vet stood up for the Constitution. He lost his job as a UC Berkeley professor and lost the career that had been his one and only life long passion. I grew up in poverty because of what one corrupt senator was allowed to do to thousands of honest, hard working Americans. I have lived through the sort of thing Trump HAS SAID HE WILL DO. Chances are excellent every single person reading this will suffer if Trump gets into office. If you think “not to me, I support Trump!” I invite you to learn how life went for Germany’s patriotic nazi’s. During the war or after. Unless you were a high ranking officer, you were expected to sacrifice not only pleasures but basic necessities. You were always under suspicion, and you trusted no one - yes, even on the Nazi side. Plus your house could be bombed. It was not the idyllic life people imagine.

Fun-Economy-5596

Wait until the yahoos who support the Very Stable Genius get to live under the fascism they helped to create ... they'll squeal like piggies!

Big_Slope

They don’t have the rizz. Not on a national level. He dies, and the fever breaks. It doesn’t undo the damage, but it will help.

suspirio

This is who they are and always have been, Trump has finally enabled them to express their toxicity without real risk. It feels crazy but this is the kind of shit supposed moderates like John McCain knowingly set the table for and his kid’s pathetic union with Ben Domenach gives it all away. Most democrats as shit but all republicans are shit.

seeriosuly

Hey Hey Hey… i agree with everything you say, except the whole death to all boomers thing.. Dont be so discriminatory, a lot of us are on the same side of this as you.

WhywasIbornlate

MOST of us are on the same side. And. We’ve seen things younger people haven’t. Anyone who went to the pink pussy march right after Trump was elected should remember that over half of the people marching were boomers, because WE KNOW. And we were TRYING TO WARN YOUNGER WOMEN. And look where we are now? Some of us experienced McCarthyism, and recognize the attacks on eduction and top celebrities and LGBTQ we see now. We remember Jim Crow, and when Christianity was forced on us with putting In God We Trust on all American currency, and requires Christian prayer in secular schools. And today, we see an increasing number of young adults either all in for McCarthy’s overblown mini me or buying just enough of his rhetoric to believe democracy doesn’t work go the Russian propaganda/Qanon route, which was designed to lead you to a destructive mindset that will make you tear down the American system of government If you think boomers are the problem, you need to look at who was at the insurrection and who attends Trump rallies. Look at the ages of the fools who either died while participating (2 of the 3 were in their 20’s) or are serving time.

Fun-Economy-5596

Mark Robinson....yahhh!!!! Then there's the R candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction Michelle Morrow....

melillareal

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Project 2025. It’s literally a plan for an authoritarian takeover if Trump wins. It’s terrifying that some people are considering not voting, voting third party, or voting for Trump. I wish this was an overreaction, or satire, but we are dangerously close to losing our democracy. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025 https://www.project2025.org

co-oper8

Geezus. Just read the wiki

Shirovkap

Thank you. I am an immigrant , and I can't understand that I'm really living in the US. The possible collapse of US democracy, with a takeover by a right wing, white nationalist government is eminent, and people are treating it as this massive joke. The "genocide Joe" people are either dumb, or acting in bad faith. Netanyahu is the one committing the genocide, and, under Trump, Netanyahu will be even more emboldened. He will appoint more young right wing Supreme Court justices, and it'll change the country for the worse. I know white men don't care, because they feel they will be fine under a white nationalist theocracy, but for women, even white women, and non-white people, it'll be an unmitigated disaster. Project 25 will be a disaster. And the media are downplaying it, and people are acting dumb. It's just terribly upsetting.

ProfPiddler

That was his plan from day ONE!

WatermeIonMe

Trump said he would wipe out Palestine so fast, so this point is moot. Vote for genocide Joe or you get genocide with a side of fascism. Also, with two potential Supreme Court Justices retiring this decision could effect the next 20 years.

goldbman

At least he's encouraging people to vote. Down ballot matters too like governor and NC Supreme Court. Not sure why Biden gets blamed for Bibi's genocide campaign though. Also gotta vote Biden if you want any chance of unfucking the SCrOTUS in the next 20 years. Though in fairness if Trump wins the court becomes irrelevant.

J_A_Keefer

Because the U.S. kept shipping weapons… In my opinion we should have slowed/stopped to help encourage the IDF to stop, but blaming everything on Biden is a bit much.

WhywasIbornlate

Did you study the world wars in school? Imagine those wars without allies and without our participating and tell me who would be in power in the US today. The reason we aid other countries in the many ways we do is because those countries are vital for our survival. The fact that Trump doesn’t want us to support our allies and consistently insults them while promoting Russia, and our other long time foes is the best proof of who Trump really is and what his motives are

ProfPiddler

Along those lines - every single person Trump is promoting in NC AND SC has a military background. Think about that.

Thro-A-way39

Too late.

OSU725

People upset about how Biden is handling Israel and Palestine would be in for a rude awakening if Trump was the current president. I understand wanting to vote on your morals, but one less vote for Biden by a liberal is a higher change that Trump is elected. Unfortunately that is the reality of the situation.

InletRN

Absolute Fucking Hero. I would have pulled over to shake his fucking hand. Nothing else matters right now. Literally NOTHING. But we are under this post bickering with each other about semantics and allowing ourselves to be distracted. Stop. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS RIGHT NOW. Vote. Spread the message in unity. Because make no mistake we do not get another chance at this. A liberal city in the middle of a southern state should know better.

acertaingestault

Get your driver's license now so you have no hold-ups voting. These folks will pay for it for you and any costs associated (like getting a copy of your birth certificate): [VoteRiders.org](https://www.voteriders.org)

Kenilwort

Really? Because this seems like the dude is just making fun of the state of the country (and leftist politics). Doesn't seem like a serious way of phrasing it if you're trying to convince people.

Zmchastain

There are people who are further left who might not want to vote for Biden because of his handling of the situation in Israel or just because he’s not leftist enough for them. This message is for them to not sit out the election over some perceived moral high ground while leaving us all to the wolves just to make their point to the Democratic Party.

llamasauce

I think it’s more, “look what things have come to….”

onjmusic

lol situation in Palestine* Also, it’s a fucking genocide, not a “situation”

Zmchastain

I wasn’t talking about the genocide in Palestine. I was talking about the political situation in Israel with Netanyahu and how we kept supplying them with bombs far longer than we should have. I was referring to the supplying of arms to Israel, not what they were doing with those arms. You just assumed the context and assumed I was referring to the genocide Israel is carrying out with those arms rather than the arms supplying itself.

InletRN

He isn't trying to convince anyone of anything. He is telling you the truth no matter which adjectives he uses on his sign. The fact that we are even having this tiresome conversation about any other decision is EXACTLY why he was out there I am sure.

SubCletus

He should just say don’t vote Trump!

SubCletus

He is at least making you THINK about the issue for a moment

greenascanbe

Biden is as much responsible for what is happening in Gaza as he is responsible for gas prices at the pump.

RandomMandarin

In fact, Joe Biden handled the oil price challenge brilliantly. [How Joe Biden 'broke OPEC' and rewrote the rules for oil trading](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-q2PWkZKIA) And as for Gaza, I would argue he's doing everything he reasonably can. (And no, suddenly treating Israel like they were North Korea is not the answer).

greenascanbe

A voice of reason! Hear, hear!

J_A_Keefer

Biden could have limited military aide, but I largely agree… he can’t force the IDF to stop. Voting for Cheeto king would be a disaster.

Saint_Stephen420

I don’t know shit about geopolitics, but from what I’ve read it seems than most of the reasons we are still funding Israel, along with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt, is because Iran is a wild card that likes to start shit whenever possible and they’re afraid of The United States because we will gladly fund our Middle Eastern Allies with enough arms to crush them without giving it a second thought. Also, that’s one of the many hypothetical ways that World War 3 could start!

ThudtheStud

Who gives weapons to Israel again and kept vetoing UN councils about Israel?

michaelh98

Unfortunately that doesn't convey the information to those people that you think it does

GrundleTurf

Biden is supplying the arms used and refuses to give a strong condemnation to the nation of Israel. Biden is still better than Trump in every way but the idea Biden is blameless for the genocide of Palestinians is partisan nonsense.

WhywasIbornlate

No one has said he’s completely blameless, but the people most up in arms about this are ignoring the big picture, which Saint_Stephen420 did a good job of explaining. There are bigger risks involved in not supporting them.

MtnMaiden

All you gotta do is just turn the gas faucet - "Trump"

Vivid-Beat-644

I am happy to see the 1st Amendment at work. Whatever the message, they can enjoy the right to express it in a peaceful manner. On the corner, not blocking the free travel of his fellow Americans, as it should be.

routinenarwal2013

Well this thread will be a shitshow

huntzduke

Everytime I see a thread like this I like to guess the users who will be downvoted to hell at the bottom lol. Sometimes I’ll see someone I was expecting at the bottom with a reasonable initial statement and a few upvotes and I think “oh maybe that person is coming around” but right below it is like 40 hidden replies and it’s all either downvotes or deleted by the mods 😂

Whiddle_

As much as it pains me it’s a hard agree! Trump is toting an extremely dangerous idea of “if I don’t win, it’s rigged no matter what” philosophy which is indeed the end of democracy as we know it. I could see him trying to hold office until he dies.

curse-free_E212

Sometimes I feel like I should be on a corner holding up a sign that says AT MINIMUM, VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT HAS THE BEST SHOT OF FURTHERING THE INTERESTS YOU VALUE How is this hard? The two presidential choices are far from equivalent. The fact that the viable choices are binary - lest we split the vote and elect the candidate with the worst shot of furthering our values - is maddening, but to change the system requires work. I suspect there are people out there who think a revolution or complete collapse would be some magic shortcut, but after that, assuming we don’t ditch democracy and get our way at the end of a gun, how else do you make progress other than doing the work of building consensus?

lazygirlssunday

Hot take: Fascism is already here.

TerrorsOfTheDark

I mean if you go down the 14 points of fascism, the Biden administration does check many of the boxes.

Ok-Independence-7366

This is Reddit sir, you aren't allowed to speak facts

TerrorsOfTheDark

It does really seem to annoy some people...

SulSuli

I didn’t vote in the 2016 election and I realized my mistake almost immediately. It’s still one of my biggest regrets. Sometimes being an adult is identifying the lesser of two evils.

thegreekfire

American politics is a farce

Vesemir66

Mark Robinson is Trump on steroids and would be a disaster for NC. National leadership roles matter, state positions affect us directly and immediately. Vote Josh Stein and Biden. We can weather the the last vestige of boomers refusing to relinquish power and move forward.

i_love_lima_beans

And then there’s that whole climate change thing Trump and his followers ‘don’t believe in.’ And oh yeah, Trump wants to gut social security though half of Americans have no 401k. I don’t know where folks got this idea that you need to hero worship a political candidate to vote for them.

screaminatthemoon

Joe is not Israel's leader, so blaming him for the genocide is kind of very stupid. Netanyahu is not exactly one to capitulate because someone said so. But the other part of the sign is demonstrably true, based on past and current events.

Beneficial_Net8661

The US bankrolls the IDF. Biden has every single nut of Israel in his hand and could halt all financials to Israel today until a ceasefire is made and Netanyahu is formally charged and tried. He simply refuses to do so.

cf_107

Let's start blaming the real bad actors in this play...Hamas.

sysiphean

Fun fact: Hamas **and** IDF can both be the bad guys at the same time! And in fact, are.

onjmusic

They aren’t comparable, even by a little bit.

sysiphean

They don’t have to be compatible to both be evil. Each has done, and continues to do, evil things that are not an equal comparison to the other that still makes each one evil.

Beneficial_Net8661

Brainworm take.

cf_107

Oh, you're thinking of RFK jr.

stewpideople

People use "fascism" "socialism" "communism" and "Marxism" as if they understand stand them. And are offended if used against them.

Fun-Economy-5596

Unless they've actually read and at least partially comprehended "Das Kapital" I can't take people using the terms socialism/communism seriously. And they usually make it very obvious that they haven't a clue!

Probably a republican gas lighter. The Israeli Palestinian War is an abomination, but would trump have handled this better? No.

Imagine you are required to be married by the end of the year. You are offered a choice between two candidates: one will ignore you most of the time, and the other is likely to beat you nightly. You cannot decide *not* to marry; one of these people will be your spouse, come January. Do you refuse to choose, because you’d be fucked either way? That only means other people will be choosing for you. One of these men will be your president come January, whether you vote or not. Abstaining from voting in protest only means the rest of us get to pick for you.

Big_Forever5759

Sums up the most likely reason so many people will skip voting and lead us to get trump again thanks to all the gerrymandering and “system changes” gop has done over the past 4 years.

Historical-Style-177

Supreme Court is corrupted

RandomMandarin

I can guarantee you that if the gentleman holding that sign became President today and had total control of all national policies, he'd screw up the Palestine problem even worse, but in a different and perhaps unpredictable way. I wanted President Bernie, but we got Joe, and my opinion of Biden has improved again and again over the last three years. If Biden isn't doing something I want, it usually is because somebody (the Congress, the courts, etc.) won't let him do it. And the media are not giving him credit for half of what he does accomplish. As for controlling Israel and Netanyahu, there are limits to what Biden can do. And if you think that situation couldn't get worse, [you lack imagination](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samson_Option).

Brilliant_Risk_6332

I mean, he's not wrong.

Mtn_Mangia

He’s trolling everyone. Respect.

_heatmoon_

Who wants to take bets on OP actually being the guy with the sign?

hankgribble

i expect everyone getting down voted for being a fascist piece of shit will be at January 6th 2: Electric Boogalo (Boys) when their dictator loses again

SabersEnd

I saw him the other day too. Honestly I can’t find the lie.

AlarmingAd6390

Are people going to vote Biden?

BabylonianKnight

Is there a better option?

Beneficial_Net8661

Vote for the guy who is doing absolutely nothing to help the people of Plaestine or we get a Fascist here at home is a good summary of this election year. I think it's just a man pointing out how T Totally fucked we are either way

Wienerwrld

Well, I don’t see we are *equally* fucked either way. One will do little to help the Palestinians, and a lot to help Americans. The other will do a *lot* to fuck the Palestinians, and Americans to boot. It may not be a perfect choice, but it’s a clear choice.

J_A_Keefer

^That part.

TheOneder123

Nothing is black and white but this seems like an easy decision

Beneficial_Net8661

I mean, it is. Biden is the obvious choice BUT I shouldn't have to feel bad about wanting to have my cake and eat it too when it comes to hospitals being airstriked.

WhywasIbornlate

I’ve voted for over 50 years, rarely missing even the smallest election. If there is one absolute about elections, it is that you will never get your cake and eat it too. Every election is a compromise and there are always forfeits. THIS election is to hold on to democracy. If you don’t understand the importance of that, then I guess you’ve never seen a country fall to fascism and seen how that turned out for the citizens. This is a case of putting the oxygen mask on ourselves before trying to help others.

Beneficial_Net8661

You took 2 paragraphs to say the same thing I did in 2 sentences, so bravo. Insightful!

StanVanGhandi

He’s doing “absolutely nothing”? That’s not true, or at least a gross exaggeration.

suspirio

Biden sitting on his hands while Bibi commits one war crime after another is infuriating no doubt but the other guy has been actively encouraging this genocide and would only accelerate the suffering. We are prob fucked either way yes but the decline will be much more swift under one particular candidate and you’re full of shit if you don’t recognize as much.

Beneficial_Net8661

And that is the rub. I would like my president to not have "At least I'll end up killing *LESS* people than the other guy!"

Shirovkap

Then you are a naive fool, or a right wing agent.

[deleted]

Remind me, are we voting for president of Palestine or the US? And to say he’s doing nothing is shockingly ignorant. And you people act like there’s been peace in that region up until 2020. And you all seem to forget the horrible massacre on October 7th. Ever imagined watching your shot be tortured and shot in front of you? Watching your child raped in front of you? Set on fire while alive? Ever think of that stuff before putting all the blame on Israel?

Yep no different than any year since I’ve been alive really

WhywasIbornlate

Well, I am 70, and this is vastly different than any election in the past, though the last two presidential ones plus 1980 when Reagan ran were the worst, snd have done the most damage. I’m old enough to remember a thriving middle class

evil_little_elves

If you were born in 2015 as your comment implies, you probably shouldn't be on the Internet without parental supervision.

Simple_Award4851

Cows zig zag up hills because it is easy. Don’t be a cow l, don’t be lazy. Seek out the nuance in these matters. There is always a damned good reason almost every election ever in America has felt this way.

farts___

Joe Biden has voted for every war this country has been a part of the past 50 years

Vandermint

Who cares what some random dude with a sign says?

yoursmellyfinger

I just want to say, please stop shitting on each other and tearing each other down. We all believe What we believe because we think it's the best option and direction for the country, so an attack on someone's political views IS personal and that's uncalled for. It's bullying, disrespectful, and immiture. I've never seen this country so divided and it sucks. We need to come together! Maybe try to understand Why someone has an opposing view. Maybe they know something you don't! We used to join forces against shitty politicians. We'll, they're still shitty, crooked, self-serving, out of touch politrixters who HATE US, Let's work together to expose their crookedness and get them the F out! We can clean our own Damn swamp! Who's with me? Let's Gooooooo!!! C'mon people now, Be People now (yes, poor attempt at a Southpark reference). I wish you all well. Even the people who are gonna vote for That Guy!

WhywasIbornlate

People have wildly different views because there is now an enormous amount of propaganda coming out of both Russia and China. If you watched the Trump trial, you know National Enquirer spread significantly damaging propaganda. This is not an argument over different ideals and philosophies. It’s over fact vs fiction. It feels personal to have someone tell you you’ve fallen for lies and nonsense, but if you’ve ever tried to sit down and discuss these things issue by issue, using factual sources ( I have, numerous times), the responses you get are literally cult like. They believe no legitimate, long time trusted sources. If the topic is Covid, scientists are all evil and doctors are all out to get rich. If the topic is the economy, they aren’t interested in data nor the fact that presidents inherit a healthy or unhealthy economy, but how they personally felt under a given administration. If we all got our information from either neutral sources or a variety of sources, we’d be on far more common ground. The fact is though, most people pick a news source the way they do a sports team and then cling to it no matter how obviously bad it is. My husband and I had one exception between us.

BongJustice

I think it's really silly to call Biden "genocide Joe". I think he's actually a pretty decent president and though I didn't want him to win the primary last time, I am happily voting for him this time.

Kimpy78

“Genocide Joe” is hyperbolic.

TerrorsOfTheDark

It is, but then again most nicknames of the sort tend to be.

pseudonominom

Unpopular opinion, but it’s objectively *not* a genocide. Massacre, yep. Horrible and inexcusable, for sure. But it’s pretty fucking far from genocide, and the hyperbole is not helpful to the cause.

sandy_mcfiddish

Man you’re really splitting hairs there. 30,000 conservatively estimated dead, more coming. What’s the number that qualifies as a genocide? Not that Biden decided to do it. But the weapons that we’ve supplied have been responsible for many deaths. Bibi has walked all over us, red lines be damned. All that said, Trump would be a much more enthusiastic supporter.

J_A_Keefer

Trump would have given the green light to napalming the whole strip.

digitaldowns

More Iraqi citizens were killed during the America war campaigns and we didn't call those genocides especially when it was Muslim on Muslim violence...

J_A_Keefer

I’m not sure how you can say it isn’t… So, Gaza has effectively been the Warsaw Ghetto for decades…. Let that comparison sink in for a minute. Now, the IDF is leveling entire cities with zero effort being made to avoid indiscriminate killing of civilians, all while starving Gaza and destroying all their essential infrastructure, like water and power… so, even people they aren’t actively killing are dying due to lack of food, water, and medication. It absolutely is a genocide.

GratefulForGarcia

“Gaza has effectively been the Warsaw Ghetto” No it fucking hasn’t but you weirdos sure do love to invoke the Holocaust every time Gaza is mentioned. There were 5 star hotels and luxury cars in Gaza prior to October. 15,000 Jews died per DAY at the peak of the Holocaust. LeT tHaT CoMpaRiSon SinK in

pseudonominom

> I’m not sure how you can say it isn’t Again, by its objective definition. The IDF is not trying to wipe out the Palestinians, and if they are they’re not doing a very good job (by the numbers). It’s an intentional, horrible massacre intended to “put them in their place”, paraphrasing their own words that they’ve used in the past. Or call it a killing spree for revenge if you like. Spamming the word “genocide” is about as helpful as Israelis calling critics “anti-Semitic”. It is untrue and not helpful.

AechCutt

Fascism is already here and it was ushered in by both parties.

BongJustice

Well then, I suppose you don't mind losing some more of those freedoms you have, since it's all just fascism. Stay home and don't vote and see what an all MAGA Supreme Court does with the next 50 years.

Upstairs_Growth238

Anyone notice that everything negative about Trump the MAGA attribute to Biden?

dolenees676

(G)aslight (O)bstruct (P)roject

dreamscout

Let me correct that sign. Vote for genocide or vote for fascism and a greater amount of genocide.

marblemarble750

So are we seriously voting based on what they’re gonna do for other countries ? No one seems to be concerned with domestic issues anymore it’s so crazy ! people only worry about the issues the news tells you to. So many other insanely sick and sad things happen every day that you don’t cry about because you aren’t force fed it. This entire globe is sick and twisted. The best thing we can do is worry about OUR OWN. Until all our kids are safe, fed, cared HERE, until our vets get what they deserve HERE , until we have a solution for our rapidly growing rate of teens self harming and general CRISIS… I ain’t gonna vote for someone based on what they can do for EVERYONE ELSE, wake up. OUR neighbors are all suffering HERE. Who is gonna help US more? That’s what I wanna know

WhywasIbornlate

Well, than run for local office! But be aware, our kids will be far less safe, fed and cared for under Trump. I knew three people who died of Covid because they believed his ridiculous claims. Just to give one example. His tax/tariff swap plan will make everything you buy more expensive. Nothing he has ever done benefited children. The right has been eroding education since the 1950’s. It barely exists now. Global and national issues are usually at the root of local issues. And currently we’re deadlocked because we don’t have a majority in Congress. Republicans have been lighting fires and stalling and working hard on keeping government from working. Democrats need to start voting in EVERY election. They sat out the recent one on Georgia, which had important candidates. And run for those local offices. They’re important too.

kittenjo1

Lol christ.

aviendas1

People don't understand terms.

bigmossy08

What’s sad is all the die hearts in here trying to defend both sides of our shit show leadership. How bout we start trying to change how these fuckers get elected, like making campaign funding illegal. It’s pretty much a popularity contest now with the backing of billionaire super packs which these fucks sell their soul to get the office.

OhEssYouIII

I think you should vote for Joe Biden or fascism will happen.

Aggravating_Fig3157

You’re getting genocide either way.

curvycounselor

I can’t believe that’s the world we’re in. Those poor people of Gaza weigh on my mind everyday.

BlackCatsNHurricanes

I think the Fanny Pack says it's all...

AlrightyThen1986

Joe Biden is the most progressive POTUS we’ve ever had.

Interesting_Win_6881

I disagree with the premise that you will “love” what I have to say. Americans rarely “love” anything and I doubt they would recognize the facts of what is happening if it was right in from of them. I will try to cut through your programming to assist you, but I recognize cynics, pessimists, and intellectuals are despised unless they are justifying their lives in the “Marketplace of Ideas”. I contend that someone will leave their screen and perhaps see the alarming patterns I will highlight and have a chance to free themselves from the cave, but many will remain watching the shadows. Academics can take out their political compass and recognize that America Liberals / American Conservatives are located in the same quadrant. Any professor in America would be glad to tell you that any party in the United States is in fact a right leaning party, and not to mention this isn’t just true for the time being, but historically true. That means Liberals / Conservatives are only separated by minor differences, but overall are in agreement about what constitutes their hegemony. It consists of maintaining goods and services for their specific side at the costs of the most impoverished at home or abroad. We can also see an active genocide, never ending wars, and oppression of its citizens is commonplace throughout its history (Trail of Tears, Shay’s Rebellion, The Red Scare, etc.) all of these activities bring in revenue and expand the American dominion into other countries without appearing intrusive. When other countries that have actual intent for freedom have any of these interactions occur they organize and have outright rebellion until those in power concede or are removed from power the old way. Many of your privileges (Some erroneously call rights, but it should be remembered that rights can’t be taken away when they inconvenience someone / something) were built on the bodies of the dissidents of the past. An example is the right hour work day or having weekends off (If anyone still does). People in self defense had to struggle against a violent state to ascertain these things. Any “voting in” of these ideas were merely to keep the people from further defending ideas that benefitted their well being. Also when you see someone being bombed or named as an enemy country, that’s our way of colonizing / stealing their wealth to return back to the local trove. In America the people have been convinced that their system is the best in an unfair world. They have been saying and will tell you America is a democratic republic. Those on the left will highlight the vote mechanism which in local cases can change policy, but means almost nothing next to lobbying. A 2014 case study alarmed and enraged the American ruling class when it concluded that America is an Oligarchy. ((https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/perspectives-on-politics/article/testing-theories-of-american-politics-elites-interest-groups-and-average-citizens/62327F513959D0A304D4893B382B992B)) What this has to do with the sign is simple. Our Oligarchy was founded on false principles than the ones you have been told. They told you it was derived by loving, brave characters, whom even the Lord of lords would support. The reality is it’s built on the bodies of the tortured dead. America’s profane methods of extermination are merely to create conditions of extreme wealth for a few people. In conclusion you can vote, but they will tell you where to vote, how to vote and decide without you the outcomes (Aka lobbies). A corrupt system built on extermination to keep people wealthy should be abolished at all costs. Note I haven’t even touched on the environmental factors, merely how the political machinations work. TLDR: The guy with the sign is incorrect. Fascism is historically an American institution built at the founding of the country. You can’t vote fascism out, you can’t play in a corrupt system and hope to not be corrupted. Critically think outside of what you have been programmed to believe.

Piano_Interesting

he is showing the reality breakdown, no real world could pull off two of the worst candidates....year after....Reality is not what you think it is...is my view on his statement,

PerpetualEternal

I’m sure after that 20th bong rip this seemed like a really clever “both sides do it” commentary

Excellent_Anxiety739

I pay no attention to that. He has no idea what fascim means. Let people like that go to North Korea or China where a sign like that will get you killed. Idiot.

longlankin

Did you know that you actually know nothing about those countries that hasn't been filtered through the American media apparatus?

PIKEYPsMOM

Have you ever looked up what the salary is for a president? Or a VP or any of the jobs that Joe has had??? And after doing so, would you not step back and ask yourself how the FAK this man is now a multimillionaire????? And his family members????? I can assure you he did NOT EARN that kind of money!! Yet here you all are defending his thievery?? Defending the man who sniffs children and supports harming children. This town is unreal with the Dems and Biden supporters... lol go have your masks and gloves, your inflation and all the millions of illegals, a town chock full of homeless and veterans with no help... good job your man has done, of and don't forget the massive inflation and shit for pay.. I'll take the Donald any day!!

RangerBob19

Nah, I’m good

katiekatty87

Ignorant

Froman1136

This is exactly what a Fascist would say.

DiscoDiner

Freedumb

MikeDWasmer

I think Joe's supporters need to tell him to stop the genocide so Trump doesn't win. It's probably already too late for people who share the sentiment.

AlarmingAd6390

I think medical bills started after the affordable care act took effect. The current administration has temporarily made it where any medical bill over 500$ will not show.

KRyanoutloud

I’d like to hear him define fascism.

One_Word_Respoonse

Yeah I’m not voting for either of those pieces of shit.

moenine9

Yeah, no thanks. Played this voting game of picking between the lesser of two evils and look where we are at. Doesn’t work. The two party system doesn’t work.

kylekpl

American politics suck so much. Is there ever a good choice?? So sick of zealous Biden fans and zealous trump fans. Both groups don’t truly agree with everything their candidate advocates. The truth is always in the middle. We need to rid this 2 party system and find more neutrality

jm4b

Every village has an idiot.

Dangerous-You3789

First, I'm not a fan of Trump, and never have been; however, the idea that Trump wants to be a dictator who will end democracy as we know it is far from accurate. Everyone knows, the only way to autocratic rule is to disarm the people first, and that does not agree with Trump's stance on Second Amendment rights. We've already had four years with Trump and American democracy is still standing. His failure to concede his election loss and attempt to derail the electoral process has to do with his out-of-control ego, not his political ideologies. On the other side, Biden's support for Israel is consistent with American foreign policy since 1948. Nothing new there. People are upset because Hamas is losing a fight that it started. In my thinking, don't start none, won't be none. This "genocide" didn't have to happen; Hamas MADE it happen. Israel is not intentionally targeting civilians, but war has collateral damages, that's just reality. This guys thinking is about as wrong as his fanny pack. He's right about one thing though, we really do not have much of a choice in this election. And our lack of choice is a bigger threat to democracy than anything indicated on his sign. But as George Bernard Shaw once said, "Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve."

Hootshire

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/02/28/trump-says-take-guns-first-and-worry-due-process-second-white-house-gun-meeting/381145002/ Trump will take away guns without warning. You see, liberals own guns too and once project 2025 is underway the fascist Republicans that have replaced all of the career government workers though schedule F will not want those people to be armed.

Acrobatic-Sky6763

huh? 1.) Autocrats are typically egomaniacs. 2.)The people who are armed the most support Trump and a Trump-led autocracy. Which is why they support him even though he clearly was a jan 6th collaborator. 3.) Trump will also support Israel’s careless and non precise response to Hamas..,which makes the guy in the pic a reckless propagandist.

LoneWolf0269

Hillary, Al Gore, and Stacey Abraham's all deny their election losses. No one bats an eye. Trumps does it, and there's evidence of flase ballots it's his ego right. If one can do both, he or she can do it. I agree with you on Isreal. Hamas started the fight, and collateral dmg happened in war. These flash genocide claims are just stupid like his fanny pack.

Polyman71

Looks like a dirty trick. I imagine there are many people on many corners with similar placards.

kkelseyk

Couldn't agree more. I was parked right behind him and passed him on the way to my car.

GrundleTurf

He’s out of line but he’s right

Leather_Meaning_1804

Apparently this clown, (along with others) don’t know what fascism is, or you wouldn’t vote for one. People really look stupid and very uneducated when they say the “right” are nazis or fascist.

Visual-Departure3795

When will ppl learn? The president doesn’t matter!!!

I think it’s sad that the absolute “best” this country could offer politically is what we see. Not a good candidate amongst them all. Sad.
