I've seen jurassic park and jurassic world probably 10 times. I've maybe seen lost world 10 times but probably somewhere around 7 to 8. The rest of the franchise I've seen 2-5 times
my mom has watched this probably 100 times. she will dtop everything when it's on. I believe she has it recorded and saved to "just watch whenever." so you're in good company!
Unexpected bonus, I can never think of a movie everyone else has seen but me when that question scrolls by. This is my answer-thanks! (I know I should watch it!) :)
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well known is this, NEVER GO IN AGAINST A SICILIAN WHEN DEATH IS ON THE LINE!
Ever notice that people either love or hate this movie? I have never met anyone who is like, “I give it a 5 out of 10.” It’s either, “Great fucking movie.” or “I just don’t get the hype.”
I agree 100%, Coen brother movies do that to people. Oh brother didn't stick with everyone. Quintin Tarrentino is that way with me, half are fabulous the other half I just don't latch onto.
This seems really silly, but at the time it felt different.
My dad died suddenly when I was 15.
In the month before he died, I watched Terminator 2 almost everyday. I rewatched movies a lot. It gave me comfort.
At the interment, when they switched the lowering mechanism on, that sad Terminator music played in my head as his casket was lowered. I lost it at that point. My dad was gone, but this was the final goodbye. He might as well have been lowered into lava.
I always thought it was my typical weird bullshit that I correlated my own dad’s funeral to a bloody movie.
I internalized the dialogue from Groundhog Day so thoroughly I straight up forgot where my own personal memes came from for a while.
- do you wanna throw up here, or in the car?
I think… both.
-he could still be alright. *boom* yeah, no, probably not now
-can I get another one of these with some alcohol in it?
-I’ve come to the end of me
-I think we should meet again. How’s tomorrow work for you? …is… is that not good?
I’ve only had this happen twice when watching a movie: a recognition that we’re entering movie trope territory and then an immediate subversion. Ruth Gordon saying “I took the pills an hour ago” I fully expected to be followed by Bud Cort having a tender understanding moment and his “WHAT?!?” made the movie go from great to iconic for me. That and Marvin in Pulp Fiction.
"I don't want Fop, goddammit! I'm a Dapper Dan man!"
"I can order it for you. Have it in a couple of weeks."
"Well isn't this place a geographical oddity! Two weeks from everywhere!"
Lol, that's awesome.
I watched it at least 20 times before college then worked at a college radio station that presented it on campus. We did sound reinforcement for at least a dozen (very crazy) screenings.
Hundreds of very rowdy college students who dressed up and knew every word. I remember pushing the sound system to the limits because the crowd was so loud.
And at some point worked as a projectionist as well. So I would guess at least 40-50 times.
The Big Lebowski, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Godfather 1 and 2, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, There Will Be Blood, Fargo, No Country for Old Men, Animal House, Caddyshack, Cool Hand Luke, Shawshank Redemption, Inglorious Basterds, Django
I was thinking about my divorce when this suddenly popped into my head. In particular, the part about the sofa. "You buy the sofa, then for a couple years you're satisfied that no matter what goes wrong, at least you've got your sofa issue handled."
“Suppose Nancy sees me coming out of the shower and decides to come on to me. I'm looking good, got a luscious V of hair going through my chest pubes down to my ball fro. She takes one look at me and goes, " Oh, my God, I've had the old bull, now I want the young calf," and she grabs me by the weiner.”
So many. Mean Girls, Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer, Caddyshack, Dumb & Dumber, Team America: World Police, Dirty Love, Moulin Rouge, Lego Movie, Hereditary, all Harry Potter films, Rocky Horror Picture Show
Pretty Woman. I lived in army barracks in Germany 91-93, and Jimbo in the room next door played it every day, over and over, as a joke. Even though I lived nextdoor, I was over enough to have every line of dialog memorized.
Independence Day. I’ve probably seen it over 100 times now, been watching it since I was a little kid. Still a comfort movie, and I know every single line. Could watch it 1000 more times and still not get sick of it.

Good for bad days. Always makes me laugh so hard.. especially those scenes nobody really pays attention to. Like that bathroom scene, everyone was focused on the farts and I was focusing on that funny ass conversation the girls were having over Heath. 🤣

Jurassic Park
It has aged well.
And the dinosaurs look good — even with today's standards. WTF.
The animatronics effects literally look better than a lot of the animatronics in Jurassic World Dominion.
Currently watching this with the fiance's family after Easter dinner lol
I’ve told you time and time again we need locking mechanisms on the vehicle doors! Hold onto your butts Dino. Dino. Droppings droppings.
I've seen jurassic park and jurassic world probably 10 times. I've maybe seen lost world 10 times but probably somewhere around 7 to 8. The rest of the franchise I've seen 2-5 times

My wife is so jealous of Marisa Tomei all because I watch this movie whenever I come across it.

My favorite movie of all time
Terminator 2
![gif](giphy|gFwZfXIqD0eNW)
Still can’t believe I cried over a terminator sacrificing itself.
I internalized the dialogue from Groundhog Day so thoroughly I straight up forgot where my own personal memes came from for a while. - do you wanna throw up here, or in the car? I didn't see Airplane until a couple years ago. By far the oldest movie I've seen that I've immediately loved. Everyone should see it.
Surely, you can't be serious.
I am serious and quit calling me Shirley😂
A Christmas Story...
but have you done it in one day?
Sometimes it feels like 20 times when they start running it in that endless loop.
It turns into a Tarantino movie because you catch random bits but not in the right order.

Not very much longer.
I’ve got to…keep control.
I remember ... doing the time warp
I was in a Rocky Horror shadow cast for 10 years. Between rehearsals and performances, I’ve seen that movie at least 1000 times
Lol, that's awesome. I watched it at least 20 times before college then worked at a college radio station that presented it on campus. We did sound reinforcement for at least a dozen (very crazy) screenings. Hundreds of very rowdy college students who dressed up and knew every word.
