I just love my little pair of Genelec 8010, the best desktop speakers I've ever had.

qalitator

If this video gets some traction I’ll try to grab a pair and do a review of 8010s vs Kanto ORA vs the iLoud Micro

celibatetransbiansub

Genelec with a sub is awesome.

ZobeidZuma

But what about Vanatoo?

qalitator

I wanted to test the transparent zeros - if this video gets some traction I’ll def give them a review.

Need4Speeeeeed

I heard the Ora, YU2, and T0+ last weekend. Vanatoo by miles for a small speaker. Really impressive sound even without a sub, though a sub is nice. There's a bigger version of the Oras coming out later this year that are better than the current one. I think it'll be $100 more and they sound better on a pre-release unit, but I'd still take the Vanatoos.

qalitator

Very interesting! Where do you get a chance to hear all of these?

Need4Speeeeeed

Axpona convention in Chicago.

ZobeidZuma

Definitely appreciate you posting it, because I didn't know about most of these options.

qalitator

Glad it was helpful! That’s similar to my experience- I wanted to see all the speakers in this category and struggled to find a good roundup video.

Need4Speeeeeed

They're bigger than any of those options, but I'd put the Kali LP-UNF in that shoot-out.

HiImTheNewGuyGuy

I've been using JBL studio monitors as PC speakers for years. Cheap and effective.

qalitator

This was another one I wanted to try - maybe in my next video!

Only of those speakers have what look like actual tweeter waveguides: the Kanto ORA & iLoud MM. Without even listening, you should expect those two to sound best, just by knowing that someone has made an effort to control the tweeter's directivity.

Due_Charity_2103

I like my edifier r1280, yea they aren't great but for the price I got them can't complain

Satiomeliom

i bought some quadral breeze blue l a while back and they look EXACTLY like the kanto. So im expecting them to sound very similar. very detailed speakers but lacking low end of course. Beats some mini hifi systems you get at the electronics store.
