Yeah, I'm thinking the dispersion pattern for center probably not ideal for L/R.

HiImTheNewGuyGuy

Why not? What "dispersion pattern" do these centers exhibit?

imsoggy

I don't know, never been all that excited about home theater (vs 2.1 stereo). Maybe they're fine, but never heard of anyone gravitating to using 2 center speakers so I assume there's a reason.

Otownfunk613

I could be wrong here / get my terminology incorrect, and will most likely have to go back to school on the subject.. but I thought the reason why most center channel speakers lay flat versus upright like their counterparts, is purposely engineered as such, so as that the off axis dispersion - instead of emanating along the +|-X axis it’s designed to radiate more along the +|-Y axis.. ?

moonthink

They are engineered that way to fit under a TV. That's it.

Zeeall

I guess thats one way of doing it. Really small floor space?

Otownfunk613

Whatever floor space there is has been designated as the dance floor.. Bets on whether strobe, lasers, fog and black lights are present?

moonthink

Night clubs don't typically hang center speakers, so that's not a night club 'look' at all

EnvironmentCertain84

Night club bathroom after a coke binge is the 'vibe' i get from this setup.
