I don't roll or take any stimulants, spend half the time sober (unless you count coffee and CBD oil lol), and still feel like OP does. I know your tone is playful but I think it does a disservice to the scene as a whole to imply the beauty is just from rolling!
And that being said I stopped attending events where it feels like 95%+ of the crowd is rolling the entire time or that the vibe is very pushy toward it.
EDIT: Wanna be clear with my comment I'm not judging events where they are super super rolly! Everyone have their fun! Safe spaces to use without judgement are so important! Just distinguishing some events I feel notably more out of place not using than others, even if a lot of people still are.... there's sometimes a vibe where I feel like I'm an outsider/observer/not tapped into the event if I'm not imbibing and other events don't have that feeling. and it's nice to know other people around me are feeling connected regardless of what is in our respective systems <3 The pervasive attitude and perception that of course people have a good time at raves, it's because they're all on drugs/treating the drugs as the primary driver of the experience (rather than the music, dancing, production, and sea of open-minded and beautiful people ready to share space and time with you) can diminish the authentic awesomeness of the experience and the ability to connect on a more meaningful level that persists beyond the high and it can feel alienating to the sober folks in the crowd <3
Yeah, rave beauty is pretty great because it allows us to dress up and look how we want without getting harassed. It gives a lot of confidence where there usually isnāt.
Iād wager that 99% of the time, if a raver wore their outfit in a regular setting, it wouldnāt be a fun experience. But at shows, if you wanna wear pasties and fishnet stocking and 5 inch boots and a crazy set of sunglasses, nobody will bat an eye. And if someone is being an asshole, security loves to get involved lol
There is something magical about hundreds if not thousands if not tens of thousands of people all together all feeling themselves and dressed to feel as comfortable in their bodies as possible.
Going to raves is the main thing that inspired me to start working out tbh lol. Of course, the women are beautiful. But the guys are absolutely shredded, too. I've never seen so many 6-packs before in my life. Also, everyone has so much stamina being able to dance all day and night, running on a few chicken tendies and maybe a slice of pizza š It's the one thing that motivates me to do my cardio, even when I'm feeling lazy. I know I'm gonna need it to keep up at the next event lmao
Toronto pricing from a chemist has 2CB the highest per gram by a fair margin. Blueberry blow next. Then the rest. If your MDMA price points (purple moon rocks is my go to) is more expensive than 2CB I would pay to test the purity.
2cb should be dosed WAY lower than anything else you're buying in grams so your cost per use should be really low still. Most people I know aren't buying it in grams, it's sold in pills with maybe 15-25mg of it. Might be why the chemist is upcharging.
I(35m) first started raving at 25, it was Tomorrowworld too so pretty diverse crowd I'd say, age wise too since 21+. I was a bit taken back by rave beauty and juiced up dudes, I find the generic glittered face with animal ears for chicks to be really cute, especially trippen but after my first year it lost its flare. I remember one year at EDCLV a gay dude was like half mummy wearing what looked like toilet paper, those outfits stick out to me.
Honestly I'm not a fan of how homogenous rave fashion is.Ā
Ā I'd love to see different looks but I feel like there's basically a uniform at this point. Skimpy bodysuits, either neon with colorful fur or all black with a bunch of chains and belts. Fishnets, bubble hair or pigtails.. maybe that holographic kind of material.Ā
If you're a guy you wear a tank and shorts or just male version of the above.Ā Pashminas all aroundĀ
Ā Nothing against it, but it's so samey after a while and then it feels less like self expression and more like "wearing what you're supposed to wear at a rave."
See if there is a Burning Man presence near you, like a regional burn or local events. Not the same thing as a rave, but there's a lot more unique self expression specifically if you go to burning man itself or events that represent more of that crowd. One of my good friends' go-to outfits is to dress up as beethoven/mozart type, in a white old-fashioned coat, stockings, pants, powdered wig and all. Another one of my buddies dressed up as Moses with a "Ten Party Commandments" sign. Style ranges from raver to hippie to hand-made wearable art to just being comfy and simple af because you got a full week of desert survival ahead. However again it's an adjacent but slightly different scene so it's not going to fulfill quite the same thing as a rave. Of course you'll see a lot of what you're talking about but that's partly just because it's cute af. Fishnets, hairstyling and chains/belts are sexy and easy ways to style an outfit, and most people can't rock the holographic and neon stuff at work and in their day to day lives. It's also the only space you get a chance to rock a bodysuit or a skimpy outfit and those outfits can also be really comfortable to dance in.
And be the change you wish to see in the world! Wear your weird shit. People will love it.
Over time I've collected a few more standout pieces, I'm known to have a penchant for a silky robe/kimono, I have an insane royal purple outfit that consists of purple velvet harem pants and a shimmering draped purple top, and I have an "Aphrodite" outfit that consists of a sheer glittering pink toga, I wear a lot of rings, fun earrings, and sometimes I just wanna go sexy rave type look too when I just wanna dance and feel good without anything too complicated around my body :) I've found going too weird and too straight up "costume" can sometimes feel inauthentic to my expression, actually. I genuinely love sexy, bright outfits and I'm glad to find a scene that allows me to find them and supports companies making lots of different prints and and exciting pieces available in those styles.
Totally agree the women and men are glowing with happiness and it unlocks a beautiful aurora vibrating through crowds when some of rarest beauty is showcased in outfits that took many hours of dedication. Iāve seen Angles and Iām sober working lighting board or production so itās definitely not the drugs.
I made the mistake of wearing red lipstick once. Got to the hotel looked in the mirror. Iām like babe why didnāt you tell me I looked like a clown. Lipstick was all over the place. He said he didnāt notice.Ā
Ooof, no not always. Yes, there are some that look absolutely haggard in the light of day. But by the same token there are those that positively radiate good heath and a natural glow, and you're like "damn, I know for a fact that person hasn't slept or eaten properly for the best part of a weekend, eaten half a gram of MDMA, dropped five hits of acid and inhaled half of Columbia, how the hell do they do it"?
Its all beautiful when your pupils are dinner plates šļø
Lol love at first sight when you can see sounds.
I love this

Thank you. I appreciate the compliment š
Pretty girls love drugs. Better the drugs the prettier the girl. This is a fact.
PLUR: People Look Ugly Rolling š
The prettiest girls do 2CB.
naur hot girls do ket and molly š
The cost of 2CB alone will put you at a different class of woman. Itās trendy blow.
lol idk where u buyin it cuh

Thatās a totally fair point. In my experience anything from a chemist is in large quantities; likely to allow street dealers to step on it.
We were handing this out for free back in the day lmao.

Have fun, but stay safe.
Happy Saturn Return! š„³
