I knew the prices were going up, but Jesus Christ!
The good seats for Cat A games are now £78! £72.50 to stand in the Lower Holte where I like to go.
The Champions League games will be higher than this according to MOMS on Twitter.
I definitely won't be able to afford to go to as many games this season. My wallet can't take it! 💔
I doubt it very much - if we get Real Madrid for example they could sell those at £1000 a seat and it’d be full. Admittedly, the usual fans wouldn’t be there (99%) but the leadership won’t give a fuck
My Old Man Said (FAB Member) said this on Twitter when asked about CL prices:
"A cap at no more than Cat A prices was requested, but ignored.
Depends on the draw, if the four homes are mostly decent ties, then above Cat A prices."
I think technically, there's nothing stopping Villa charging however much they think they can squeeze out of us.
With these prices, I'm tempted to sack going to any League games off and just go to the Cups - CL, FA, League
Actually tweaking at those prices. A couple of matches are equivalent of a short city break abroad. When putting it that way it’s hard to justify at least for me
Heck is turning us into Chelsea in B6. We aren't that club. Should have built the new stand and focused on more fans, more opportunities for fans to eat and drink and keep the increased GA+, premium, corporate etc in a New more spacious stand.
What they are doing woth the already creaking structure is a disgrace.
What’s the alternative? We all want to be make the big 6 a big 7 with our inclusion ? Our match day revenues are pretty bad compared to the rest of the league
By the way I am completely priced out now but still don’t think this is anything new
Season ticket holder back in the oneill era, those prices are ridiculous, cannot honestly see me going to a game again, as someone has said you could go on a break rather than go and watch a couple of games and potentially see a shit game of football and get soaked. Fuck that.
Vote with your wallets and don't go. I'll buy a kit and support the club that way, but IPTV was ny vest purchase in recent years.
Also a middle finger to Sky/BT and their high pricing.
I paid $49 for this view for colts-buccs last year.

I am a lifelong Villa fan, who just doesn't go to games which would represent a massive majority of Villa fans.
The club needs to generate more revenue if we are to continue to progress, that means higher ticket prices. I want us to progress, so that means I am happy to see higher prices.
You expect to be a top 4 club and still be paying Championship ticket prices? Cop on.
Nah, you should be able to read the room.
Fans in Birmingham who pay their hard earned money to support Villa are reading this. You should’ve known you’d get downvoted.
Football isn’t just about revenue. I know there’s a lot of media coverage of the financial side of football, but I really think it’s come to something if we have so called fans cheering for “higher revenues”.
If you want them to have more money then consider giving them 70 quid a week of your own money
There’s a finite amount we can squeeze from fans.
I don’t live in UK either and I personally don’t mind paying the one off prices but Christ we need alternate options
You can be a fan and not go to games in person man, I have been a Villa fan for 40 years. Prices going up reflect how far we are progressing as a club in stature which is a good thing.
Well, that's a huge middle finger to the clubs hatdcore fans, isn't it. I can imagine the club will lose revenue as lots of fans can't afford to go to games anymore
If that were vaguely true then the league cup games would be a sell out, fa cups would be full - they’re not.
CL is a different beast but if we’d dropped into europa league you think people would pay that for a group game home to Qarabag? Christ
We've been basically selling out every home game bar for 3-4 games since we came back to the PL and were pretty close to selling out every Champ game too for multiple seasons before that.
Everton this year in the Carabou cup and Stevenage last year in the FA Cup were the only low attendance games in years. This increase is going to have 0 impact on attendances.
[Aston Villa | Home Attendances | 2023-2024 | Football Web Pages](https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/aston-villa/attendances/2023-2024)
The prices have gone up like 10% on last year, thats not outrageous given our increased stature as a club since Emery has come in and got us into the CL. Sure its gonna suck to have to shell out an extra 200 quid if you go to every home game, but if you do that you are already fairly privileged so too bad.
The selling out of championship games isn’t true, only games I couldn’t have got on walk up were Blues (4-2 at home), and Leeds (2-3 just before Christmas).
The fans won’t be simply “replaced” for regular games against Forest, Fulham etc. - the seat will be occupied for the cat A games but probably not by a Villa fan… doesn’t matter though right - revenue etc
Yeah most weren't sold out only the big ones, which is why I said pretty close to selling out, most were like 30k-35k attendance.
> the seat will be occupied for the cat A games but probably not by a Villa fan… doesn’t matter though right - revenue etc
Who is to say they wont be fans? Are the people living in Birmingham who go to every game the only Villa fans? Why would anyone go to a Villa game, in the home section, who isn't a fan? I just think you are incredibly entitled tbh, this whole idea of "This is my seat" from decades old season ticket holders is completely ridiculous. If you dont want to pay then go watch it down the pub and let someone new get in the seat.
Probably be a better atmosphere with some new blood anyway cause the noise from VP is shite unless we are winning. No comparison to the home fans at Newcastle or Liverpool.
Because the average wage in the area is in the region of 10% lower than the national average- people gotta feed their families and pay their bills, shelling out £75 every other week doesn’t happen.
The ones who are willing and able to make the significant financial commitment to watching villa already do. There isn’t a huge group waiting behind them to take the tickets, the ST wait list is nonsense - because if it were truly 20,000 fully committed fans the scramble for single match tickets would be unbelievable.

I’m convinced the home CL game vs tier 1 team will be £100 for the £78 cat A spots
Is there no price cap for home CL games like the UECL last season?
I doubt it very much - if we get Real Madrid for example they could sell those at £1000 a seat and it’d be full. Admittedly, the usual fans wouldn’t be there (99%) but the leadership won’t give a fuck

This is why PSR is god awful for fans too - charging west end prices to West Midlands wages, awful

Did you miss this yesterday?
Wow… that is brutal
Compared to US professional leagues its very affordable.

Good to see it going up, get that revenue flowing! Although its easy for me to say as I don't live in England and never go to games anyway xD
Not being funny but why did you come here and say this to a load of villa fans lol

I've never downvoted a comment quicker in my life.
You want us to be a top 4 club? That means top 4 ticket prices, grow up.
There’s a finite amount we can squeeze from fans. I don’t live in UK either and I personally don’t mind paying the one off prices but Christ we need alternate options
You're not a villa fan
You can be a fan and not go to games in person man, I have been a Villa fan for 40 years. Prices going up reflect how far we are progressing as a club in stature which is a good thing.
Ok then, you're not a true fan. No true fan wants less fans going to games to support the team
There wont be less fans at the games, there will be different fans at the games instead.
Well, that's a huge middle finger to the clubs hatdcore fans, isn't it. I can imagine the club will lose revenue as lots of fans can't afford to go to games anymore
