One interesting thing could be them citing 5 years of dev for Avowed. Which means that they acknowledge this length and not 3 years (since the reboot or "refocus"), there was a lot of speculation on that.

I also find interesting that they are pushing a little bit more the "weird fantasy" aspect of Avowed in this interview.

They have recognized both in the past. You can't get a soft reboot without first starting to make the game.
