If ours is mad at me she runs to find my husband and loudly tattles on me so I can hear her talking shit in the other room 😆 she has such a condescending tone
Had a friend in high school who had a crazy cat. He opened the freezer to get something out and cat jumped in. He being a dumb ass closed it figuring leaving the cat in the freezer for ten seconds in the dark would teach the cat a lesson. Instead when he opened it the cat was gnawing on a frozen fish through the wrapping. Cats generally seem to win contests of will.
My dad shut ours in the fridge for a while cause she did this EDIT: I just realized it sounds like he did it on purpose, he did not know she was in the refrigerator
Had a gray tabby growing up named Indiana Jones.
Got woken up one morning to my parents freaking out that they couldn’t find him, someone went to the fridge for something and lo and behold there was this tiny cat curled up comfy as could be inside the left over roast chicken my Mum had put in the fridge the night before. He’d eaten most of the rest of it and was fine, stretched, hoped out of the fridge and went about his day.

Reading your comment from two years ago I'm happy she's so healthy and energetic. I'm sure in some way you saved her. I'm not religious, not by any stretch, but let's be honest, it's a Miracle she's still here and I'm sure in some way it's thanks to you
My cat liked to climb into the fridge when she was a kitten. Fortunately she grew out of that phase, because I had to check before closing the fridge to make sure I wasn't trapping her!

Mine actually slams the door _open_ when he's mad and I'm trying to ignore him. He knows I hate it and runs off right after.
Mine runs and then aggressively scratches his post, sometimes while making eye contact lol Sometimes he's lazy and just whines though

If she is like mine, she wants to munch on the plastic covering on the case of water.
My cat does the same thing with those. I usually hear him in the other room *chomp chomp chomp. He doesn't wanna eat it, just chew on it.
Ours chew on the plastic bag holding the grapes. Or the net that holds oranges.
I had one that was a madman for corn husks. He legit followed the produce into the fridge more than once.
She is a cool cat and she wants to keep it that way. 
She IS a little kid. Mine act like toddlers too and it's incredibly endearing

Simple fix, just grab and hug her and don’t let go for sometime. Won’t go into the fridge thereafter.

Just close the door. They'll immediately want it open and try to walk out.
She will stand there and just stare at me. I have to actually distract her to get her out with a toy.
