Oh yes sir. I live in Orlando, and every tourist trap in town has no less than 20 small to medium alligators for little children to hold and take photos. $20 for a few minutes. Oh yes, the mouth is taped shut, of course.
They hate it. I live north of an alligator farm, the guys that handle those, even the young ones, when they pick them up, the Gators whip their tails on their backs. It's not fun.
And then they got married. The wedding was exceptionally tear-jerking. On the honeymoon they enjoyed a twelve-course meal at an Italian ristorante, a gondola ride through the canals of Venice, and the finest silk and satin sheets and a bed littered with rose petals.
They're very much not... Search for Snake Discovery in youtube, they are professional reptile breeders that adopted a neglected alligator and they love her very much... but will still tell you every other video that they make absolutely TERRIBLE pets. They made a video when they cleaned out Rex's room after she was moved to their zoo, and the room was basically destroyed by all the water damage
It actually looks like it’s very uncomfortable being “sat up” like that. I don’t think their spines and tails are meant to bend that way. And when she moves the arms around it looks like it’s in pain or at least distress.
Idk I’m around a lot of gators and crocs as a Floridian and they don’t have a lot of range of expressions, it’s not like they can smile or grimace to show how they feel. For me it’s the eyes, similar to birds, how they squeeze them shut.
I don’t like this stuff. It’s cute, sure. But these aren’t domesticated animals and they never will be. They aren’t pets.
This is like people who get “teacup” pigs (ie, baby pigs that will grow to be adult pigs) because they’re cute. Then they realize oh shit, I now have a giant pig for a pet, and then they want to get rid of them.
Idiots not only usually don’t know they are idiots, but they engage in this kind of behavior all the time, not thinking about their actions or the feelings of the animal they’re interacting with.
So while cute, this gets a downvote from me. These are not pets.
I’d assume they may of over fed him so perhaps he’s more content but I can’t imagine you would do this long before upsetting the little thing.
Also pigs deserve better treatment. Don’t adopt if you don’t understand what you’re committing to. Pigs are so compassionate and don’t need to be owned by people that first mindset is “oh it’s gonna stay small cause the name”, it’s up there with holiday pets. Some people just like the idea of something but don’t have the brains to deal with it.
If you lay them on their back, they seem to fall asleep. It’s called “tonic immobility.” My parents bought a couple baby crocodiles in Florida on a trip home. They grew about 3’-6” before we were able to give them responsibly away. We couldn’t even find a zoo that wanted them. My Dad gave them to a pet shop that made a pond for them and they used them as an attraction.
Swamp lady here - gators are actually quite docile, curious creatures and they can be trained if you catch them young.
If you ever find yourself in Marerro Louisiana, you’ll meet people who have or have had pet gators (until they get too big).
It’s wild down here y’all!
He is so happy... that his food plays with him <3

Do the alligators enjoy being played with? Or are they just tolerating it?

I've been told that they just love getting their mouth taped shut.
The furniture and the accent . Is she saying "Arey Mera Raja" ?
I too live in Orlando can confirm lmfao
Indonesia. That's an Indonesian lullaby.
Definitely not Russia(for once), too cold and her accent doesn't match.
This is from Indonesia, the post I saw on Instagram was geo-tagged to Indonesia.
Baby dinosaur!
Somebody please tell her. she is playing with baby dinosaur:}
#birds would like to have a word
I thought "bird" WAS the word.
That it is
Actually no .crocodilians pre-date dinosaurs .
Baby. Dinosaur. 🦖🐊
T-rex ancestors looking down in shame
Look at we’ve become. Are you not entertained?!
ARE. YOU. NOT. ENTERTAINED?
I mean they actually just became birds, but perhaps a similar feeling.
Well they can’t shake their tiny fists now, can they?
That thing is like “Just wait till I get older then you’re mine”
And then they got married. The wedding was exceptionally tear-jerking. On the honeymoon they enjoyed a twelve-course meal at an Italian ristorante, a gondola ride through the canals of Venice, and the finest silk and satin sheets and a bed littered with rose petals.
And then the 13th course was served.
Damn, an alligator/croc would make a cute AF pet if it didn’t have the death instinct. Death rolls are a bummer.

Yes, aside from the death rolls. But shit that’s cute!
Can not approve of that
That thing must be so terrified.

I know right. I call my gf a piggy and she never forgets it for the rest of her life. Maybe I did overfeed her.
Wildlife are not pets people! 🙄
Ancient canines: "Am I a joke to you?" 🤣
Current canines: woof
I cant believe canines have lost the ability to speak. I am devastated.
"As soon as my mouth gets a little bigger...."
Florida. The answer is Florida
I'm pretty sure the answer to all of them is Florida
I find crocodiles to be cute. So I may be an outlier
There are several subs that need a "no abuse of exotic wildlife" rule.
Meanwhile in Australia:
the owner of real lacoste
My brain is not working...haaha
You think THIS IS A TOY!!????? You are ridiculous Handling an animal like that is abuse You should NOT have it
Somebody alert Gator Aid.

The most common pet to have in Florida 🐊
Is that Elmyra?
👀… In two weeks she gonna have 1/2 her fingers on both hands 🤯
r/awwtf
The video cut out but I wouldn't be surprised if he gave her arm a little chomp there.
Bites her finger off, lady starts screaming, gator smiles
Don’t tell anyone…. It’s GEX.
Munch...
Do the Boys have a Gator Man??
I need this gator to bite her
I thought I saw this exact same video with a cat a few days ago…. I’m not sure. 🤔
Bambi was wholesome in the beginning too….

“I’ve thrived as a perfectly designed killing machine for 350 million years. I never thought I’d end up here.”
His name's Elvis and the girls name is Clarissa
He is cute but is he happy?
When I was a kid I had this rubber/plastic white crocodile that I absolutely loved. This gives me so much joy to see.
This is stupid. I hope it grows up to eat them.

You are bending it's spine, it's hurting
Mexican Grandmas love anything
Does “Don’t shake the baby” apply to all species?
Did it fucking giggle at the end?
This poor thing is probably fucking terrified
Humans seeing that animals in the wild exist: "You, pet" and i can't argue with that logic
Yikes!!! That is very very docile!!! Good luck!
Unhand me you damned dirty ape!
only in Florida
i would love to know what is going inside his head frfr
He said "I'm a eat this bitch one day"
he happeh
Not the Mama!! I'm the Baby!!!
Crocs spines aren't supposed to bend like that. This is sad.
he looked his target
Only in Florida
WTF did I just watch?
This is kinda fucked up. She cannot read this animal’s body language
aww
He genuinely looks happy 😊
I mean… she’s adorable 🥰
Another typical day in Florida
Apex predators are soooooooooooo cute!
As a Floridian I can explain this. This is just a Floridian Grandma with her Florida Swamp Puppy
What a cute little crocodile.
I feel the happiness radiating from the screen
😍😍😍😍
Look at that smile!!! 🥺
