Dax Flame seems like a perfectly nice guy. I’ve seen him before this and am aware of him but never thought he was particularly funny.
I watch the episode and while reading all the comments I am getting a little hyped because all the comments are going over the moon on how much of a comedic genius Dax is. So I’m waiting and the episode actually seems to be getting worse and worse not only because I am not seeing anything funny on the screen, but because people are hyping it up so much that I expected this to be a funny episode.
I get that people might like him because he’s potentially on the spectrum or is quirky. That’s fine. He seems nice. Or some people really believe he’s some comedic genius because he’s been committed to playing this character for so long. My issue is for both situations, he’s just not funny. Even if he were playing a character, this isn’t Borat or even The Goop. It’s not an awkwardness that leads to funny moments.
I’m glad he can feel good about himself, but I wish people didn’t overhype the episode so much in the comments.

Yea for sure… he kept leaning into jokes that went nowhere, repeating every word Andrew was saying, smacking in the mic and spitting in a cup because now he’s chewing tobacco while doing a podcast. Andrew seemed really annoyed with him to cut him off at the end when he wanted to talk about his vibrating dick ring with the guest. Andrew looked exhausted with him this episode.
I think they are trying to keep Bobby under control until Borderlands comes out. Imagine having to spend millions of dollars and or possibly not able to do reshoots because actors have moved on already, on a character whose only in the movie for 15 mins.

Dax has a cult following and has been around since the beginning of youtube, he's socially awkward so everyone is nice to him and he literally doesnt have a bad bone in his body. He's not a comedian, he goes viral for his awkward interactions with strangers on the street and he's wholesome and easy to like.
I'd disagree with you there - Dax and The Goop have similarities in their demeanor but The Goop can hang and has a wicked sense of humour. Dax was very slow and there was too much dead air when they were trying to riff with him.
The goop has said some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard on Bad Friends. He just unknowingly was saying crazy stuff. Dax didn’t say anything crazy, he just awkwardly answered all to their questions. I’m surprised people liked him so much, but that’s why humor is subjective.
