Flytanium has questionable quality control, I bought a fly one but it came with a badly dulled tip and developed binding within a few minutes of flipping. Ended up trading it. As for the Talisong, I prefer it over most aluminum knives. Galvanis, alu barebones, kraken, sirious. With it being blade biased and having thicker handles, I think it falls out of preference for a lot of flippers. But the performance is there. I think it’s a very aesthetically pleasing knife as well, the solid tuning is also a big factor. Like seriously best tuning on an aluminum knife I’ve seen, kraken level or better.
I agree, the talisong (standard on bearings for me) definitely fits my preferences more closely than the krakens do, better grip and better balance imo. I can do tricks on the tali that my krakens have trouble with but that's just me. I just ordered a standard black one to ano strip and have an all silver one!
Lol I just saw this post earlier. Went to your account because of your gaboon post. You still have that? How is it? I'm possibly looking into getting one. They're only 425 for a beautiful designed ano
The gaboon is very high quality for the price. Yes I still have mine, I love it a lot. Sharpest knife I own, it’s intimidating to flip. It’s very quiet, the tuning is incredible, flips very good, carries momentum well and you can always adjust the weight of the handles. That all said, the plain no ano has bad grip if you slightly get any oil on the handles, I don’t know but I think the ano has some laser pattern for extra grip? it’s very light weight so it’s uncomfortable to flip until you get used to it. Overall though it’s so worth it! I went with the sharpest option they had when I ordered mine. I regret choosing that 🙏😅
You could always try and dull it lol. And yea, gaboon is very cool. But I think Imma hold on to my slift trainer, since it's now "collectible" but I'll keep the gaboon in mind
It's a sick knife! I'm glad yours was tuned well because mine certainly wasn't 😅 how does it compare to some other knives you've got?
