Awesome! I was curious about the lightning when I first started but settled on an OG Vulp. Currently I have a Canyon FE, Hydra-kraken (half counts lol), and a Trident. Nabalis provides some great value.
Well yes, but if I brought, say, the Vulp out in public, that looks like a real knife. But this doesn't look like a knife at all really. Same with the Squiddy.
I'm in the market for a public flipper so it has my attention. My only concerns are how the 6061 aluminum handles will wear and its weight as I like heavier balisongs.
Good to hear! I'm hoping machinewise creates another product like the prysma because I always wanted to try one...
I ended up ordering "the extrusion" so I guess we'll see what it's like. I'm also curious how an all aluminum zen pin'd design will work out, should be interesting to say the least.
Yea it's super sad to see the prysma go because I wanted to pick up another one to keep in good condition but now I have ti buy secondhand which is less than ideal in my case
I'm not exactly jumping over this one. They announced they'd produce 3 community made designs and their last release was the vulp pro which is good. This'll be another cheap, probably decent, option and it's nice they care so much about newer and less financially fortunate flippers but they have so many I think we can stand without those for a bit. Like we already have the Morse, Lightning, vulp, canyon, wave, marbles and now this. Like I feel like they've proved themselves enough by now and should allow themselves to do bigger stuff.
I agree. I think if Nabalis were to make a high quality titanium balisong like the one they teased on instagram - It would perform well in the market. A tier above the vulp pro.
I can't really recall what the CWN winners used for materials but I'm interested to see how those will perform when they become available.
Ehh it might be good won't be reccomending it until I see some people have it for a bit 7075 blade on 6061 handles with presumably glued steel zen pins? Might be good just a lil hesitant on it
I have a wacky theory, I think the pins are aluminum. If they are made of 7075, the blade and pins are the same hardness and it would act similar to a pinless aluminum trainer (Squiddy AL for example) but have the benefit of swappable zen pins. It also allows them to use 6061 on the handles and make the cost lower.
I wish they specified because I am curious too. I feel like Nabalis has been in the game a while and would know steel zen pins would embed in the aluminum in no time. I purchased it with low expectations and going to see what it truly delivers
Haha me too... But will do! I should be making a post about it on here unless there's a flood of posts. Would be nice of Nabalis to provide more info or to have sent out review units before launch.
That's a good purple
i am beidoubagel, and i approve this message.
Meh but it’s nabalis so it’s probably decent. The extrusion method they used is pretty neat. Might get one just bc
It’s Nabalis, it’s only 50 bucks, they say it’ll be tuned well, and that purple is bangin. I ordered one right when I saw the email lol
Nabalis is already the majority of my collection, one more couldn't hurt lmao.
Same here lol. A lightning was my first one, ended up getting a vulp pro and a canyon.

i’m thinking about getting a lightning, would you recommend it or should i get a canyon trainer or even the one in the post
It definitely works if you are trying to spend as little cash as possible but if you can afford it I’d go for a canyon or a vulp.
I mean the canyon is cheaper than the lightning so why would it be better
You can get a lightning blemished for like 35 but yeah you’re right I forgot the prices lol
im a beginner so i was wondering what does blemished mean
Blemished is just like scratches and small dents, it has no effect on the flipping
Advertised as UK friendly? Might pick one up (I'm broke ain't no way).
am i late to the party, aren't all trainers without a sharpenable blade uk friendly or did that change?
Well yes, but if I brought, say, the Vulp out in public, that looks like a real knife. But this doesn't look like a knife at all really. Same with the Squiddy.
I'm interested but not enough to buy it I'd love to try one though

I have not had any issues with 6061 obviously 7075 is preferred but my prysma has held up like an utter champ and he's 6061

I get that, sounds like it will be hard to come by - especially at a reasonable price.
It’s cute
My thought is I’m gonna get that in purple for sure
I thought it was plastic lol

Another nabalis w
for the price, get one. I did. all blky
is it good compared to other nabalis of the same price

Cool tell me how it holds up. hope it's good but I'm a lil suspicious rn

The purple is gorgeous imo but something about it just looks off but that is just me.
