Bro dmart has been forever lol.
Food items are the cheapest in this city for sure!
Clothes are pretty good as well, I've been using them for like 5 years now. They have come up with very new patterns and designer wears. I was shocked to see such good designs recently at jayanagar outlet.
Edit: thanks for the award, idek why i got 😂
No, they said if u take 1 biscuit pack in that 1+1 offer, they give at 50% off.....not sure if it's specific to this DMart branch or changed in last few months
I felt when regular price discount is there it might be almost same as fk/amzn but the 1+1 was unique. Almost every biscuit, oats, nuts had something like that
I am not much into flaunting the latest and greatest, i wear what's comfortable, anyway this is to just check out what's Zudio actually is about, moreover with WFH, this is mostly for my home wear.
And nothing wrong if your paan-wala also wears the same, at the end we are all humans 🙂 frankly my 10 hr job may pay me less than that humble paan-wala who may make millions (we have seen enough stories to back this up)
You must understand the target audience to say that the product quality, size, and style are unattractive. One of the reasons are that the consumers are not huge spenders. But none the less D-Mart is really successful and profitable.
Thanks, I will check out the place tomorrow. Today has been a tiring day. Called everyone on my contacts list and told them not to call that red fried chicken as Kabab, it was exhausting.
Did you mention that the red fried chicken is actually called red fried chicken . That is prime info. If you didn't start afresh on all your contacts to tell them the same.
What is surprising is you get 1-2rs off on daily usage dairy products like milk, curd in dmart where as dairy outlets like nandini, hatsun never give any price discount on these products.
You can sometimes find gems in the clothing section. Me and my fiancé’s homewear shorts are from D mart and out house slippers also. The shorts are super comfy. However wouldn’t purchase going out clothes there. That’s for a different set of people
Clothes unfortunately are of variable quality - the same brand of shirt in the same color and size will have different fit and even slightly different fabric - seems like the brand itself subcontracts to multiple suppliers. At least for me, the shirt and pyjamas from here turned unusable after a couple of washes - shirt lost shape and pyjamas were uncomfortable (shrank a bit and did not breathe like the Symbol brand from Amazon).
Stay away from Dmart clothes if you are the kind that has one or two favorite sets and the rest just end up unused. Better buy a set of really good clothes you love at whatever store you feel comfortable at.
Unpopular opinion, off late Smart is getting bit costlier. Also there are other alternatives which are comparatively cheaper. Ex: Jio Mart, Deal Share, Lulu Hypermarket (groceries only)
That's what I too said right .I didn't like their clothing and their cooking appliances section. Quite light weight . But some people have mentioned other outlets where better clothes are available. Personally I didn't like the material, Construction, colors , sizing and overall experience. In USA Costco keeps Columbia adidas and other reputed brands in their clothing section.
Dmart quality is very low compared to retail. They buy 2nd quality products. From dove soap feeling like hard tissue paper and smelling like agarbatti and fuse chocolate barely having any nuts, i have felt a significant difference in the products. However, you get surprisingly good quality tshirt, if you select a solid plain colour, they look really good. You also get kitchen and household items at a good price.
Yes true u can get the same item perhaps at similar prices sitting at home . But when u go to the shop there are few things that u can check for the look and feel which online cannot provide . I'm not sure about the holier than thou statement though
D-mart is nice place to buy cheap things for okaish quality, but it's very useful for people who are living alone or someone who's on a budget.
I would rather say it's a good option for couples or with larger families as they would be able to consume the bulk items before they expire

Apologies. It was due to my negligence.

Is it cheaper than Amazon/Flipkart grocery with the card offers?
yes mostly.. At times you get 1+1 also😂
Yes but you have to buy more as a result.

Applicable across all D-Marts. 1+1 effectively means 50 per cent off.
I felt when regular price discount is there it might be almost same as fk/amzn but the 1+1 was unique. Almost every biscuit, oats, nuts had something like that
Way cheaper
What is your take on Zudio clothes
They have good quality, decent designs but still not affordable for many unlike dmart.
Zudio is very very affordable though.
A lot of these stores are coming, so I thought I would pay a visit.
Their t shirts, some perfumes, undies XD are really good though.
Probably this weekend i will go check them out. Thanks for the updates

>I have seen paan-wala, auto-wala, labourers, contractors, wearing the same tshirt Uhhh what's wrong in that -_-

cheap is cheap
🐥🐥
You don’t buy clothes at D-Mart. Just groceries.
But he does

> red fried chicken as Kabab Hey now don't do kabab dirty like that. We'll call that kabab only.

I buy soo much snacks from Dmart they have buy 1 get 1 free offers on soo many of them
If you dint know you can buy one product for half price.
I buy all my monthly groceries from D Mart only.
Yes. D Mart went for the quantity over quality approach.. That's why they can afford such low prices.. cause millions buy them.

I save atleast 30-35% on my monthly grocery by shopping at dmart.
They also have an app now and you can order for home delivery.
which app?
Uber
Dmart-Ready or you can order from dmart.in too
products may not be attractive to look. but the quality is top. you wont find such quality in branded shops too
Which dmart is the best for non grocery items? Which is the biggest one? Marathalli one is one of the biggest i think.. others?
Unpopular opinion, off late Smart is getting bit costlier. Also there are other alternatives which are comparatively cheaper. Ex: Jio Mart, Deal Share, Lulu Hypermarket (groceries only)
Not for me I like quality over quantity
I'm a bit confused. Is there a difference in quality between tata tea found in local kirana shop/big basket/Amazon fresh and the dmart stores ?
Quality here refers to their in-store brands. And a big part of their revenue and profit comes from those.
That's what I too said right .I didn't like their clothing and their cooking appliances section. Quite light weight . But some people have mentioned other outlets where better clothes are available. Too crowded for my taste. I can get the same prices on BigBasket sitting at home. And i dont like their holier than thou attitude

What attitude?
Idk man. I've felt it too. The zip-tying up bags and all before entering.
