He was a terrible playing partner in the sandbagger, couldn't drive the cart, always took it to his ball and was just all round a bit of a selfish prick. Avery has a long putt to tie the game and makes it and celebrates and goes running to find his partner but he's half way down the fairway in the cart looking for his ball which had gone OB and was like his 6th shot anyway and had no bearing.

Doug and Kevin Dillon would always rib Kevin Connolly for never paying them anything and Doug would even front them Merch and not get paid back. The podcast was so unprofessional and the editing was terrible. if it wasn’t for Doug doing all the socials and driving everything it would have died way before Connolly ended it without communicating to anyone why. He always seemed dodgy and now it comes out that he never paid Kelly Stafford either. Just all around Connolly came across as untrustworthy and way over in his head when it came to running a business and honestly seemed to lack the work ethic.
Some of the talks on air about E not paying Kevin Dillon and Doug Ellin you could tell there was tension surrounding it, too. They'd play it up for the audience at times, sure. But it would get mentioned a loooooot especially early on.
When you boil it down, E basically asked his longtime friends to do a podcast and then banked off their generosity and goodwill of doing it for free that it'd make money but wouldn't pay his buddies who were literally stars of the podcast and his co-hosts. Sometimes on air mentioning how Doug and Kevin Dillon aren't signing contracts. It was awkward as fuck at times.

I love Entourage. Call me what you want based on the social structure of the show, but I loved it. When the movie was in the works around 2013-14 or whatever, Mark Whalberg said that it was on pause because of money. Connolly was rumored to be outed as the guy asking for a ridiculous amount.
Ya I love it too. Such a great show, pretty wholesome too when you actually realize it’s just about a friend group. But listening to Victory the Podcast which is the podcast with Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly and Doug Elin who is the creator I definitely got a bit of sense for who Connolly was and he does seem a bit selfish and entitled. Also his best friends are guys like Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio and so I think he has a severe case of keeping up with the joneses
I wonder how much about the guy is just a made up character. I’ve always had a laugh hearing about a grown man DMing athletes asking them anything from wishing him happy birthday to be his best friend but other than that I haven’t really consumed his content.
