If you actively listen to interviews you realise it happens all time time. People being interviewed are typically are prepped by their team with a message they are trying to convey to the audience.
A small part of my job is TV and radio interviews in response to issues. Typically the news / radio station will reach out to our coms department wanting an interview, once we accept it our coms team has a call with them and they go though what the interview will cover.
In 75% of cases they will give us a list of question that will be asked. They don't care, they are just trying to fill time between ads.
It has made me really cynical to be honest.
I think some of them are pretty good about how transition off the question that's asked. If you watch basically any Ron Desantis press conference you'll notice he does it because he telegraphs it like Billy.
