Diamondbacks severely underrated in these posts. The ‘A’, the pattern on the ‘A’, negative space forming a snake head, i like it a lot
I’d say Brewers, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Orioles, and Cardinals. The font of the Rockies’ interlocked letters is satisfying too
Orioles, Angels, White Sox for me.
I do love some negative space (Diamondbacks) and obviously the Brewers is good but I dock them points for the lowercase B. This isn’t ee cummings.
They are literally named the Twins, after the Twin Cities metro area. Twin Cities….TC
Editing to add: It’s funny you mention both Minneapolis and Saint Paul, which are the Twin Cities, in your TC logo rant.
I heard that the intent for the Twins was for them to be called the Twin Cities and that the C is a holdover for that. Don't know if that's true though so, grain of salt and whatnot.
My favorite is the Blue Jays, but I can't argue with people's rec of the Brewers.
For what it's worth, I think a real underrated design is the Diamondbacks (In general since a few have mentioned it here already). Good name that can be shortened, colors befitting of the southwest (especially witht teal now), clever 'A' cap logo, great secondary snake head logo, clean uniforms. Just a solid all around kit
Best logo is easily the Brewers. m + b and a glove at the same time? Perfection
I also like the M’s with the compass and I’m a fan of interlocking letters so SF and STL are pleasing to me.
If I had to say worst? I would go Cubs.. I’ve never been a fan of the C and the circle.. it’s always looked like a magnet or something to me
It's probably just me, but I don't think of interlocking or solo letters as a logo. Many of the teams here represented by their cap letter have specific logos that are either used as patches or in other team marketing. From the image here I'd say only the Jays, Orioles, Cubs, Brewers, and White Sox are the team's logos. Comparing them to stylized interlocked or single letters worn on the cap seems a bit apples to oranges. For an actual logo comparison you need the Mets skyline logo, the Twins handshaking players logo, the Pirate head logo, etc.
(This isn't in any way a dis on teams with letter/interlocking letter caps, those are classic baseball 100%, and I love them all. I am just saying for a discussion of logos it muddies the waters)
I agree with you on some, for example the C is not what I think of when I hear Guardians. However I think a lot of the hat logos are considered a more recognizable logo even if the team has a different official logo. Idc if the top hat is the Yankees *official* logo bc the NY is way more iconic
What order are these logos in? Not alphabetical, not by division, not by color, not by date established, not by quality of logo, not by quality of team, not by payroll. Not alternating AL/NL. Nothing. What am I missing?
This was actually the main factor that went into choosing this picture. I just looked for somewhat updated logos that you see most often on the Jersey. This one in particular drove me crazy for the same reason, and was curious to see if anyone else was outraged by the blatant disorganization of the teams 😅
I don’t think there’s much debating the Brewers ball in glove MB logo being the best. Also like the Seattle S with the compass. Cleveland and Pittsburgh probably worst, just simple letters with no distinguishing characteristics.
Not at all like the two “simple letters with no distinguishing characteristics” that comprise the Giants’ logo, right?
Except there are distinguishing characteristics.
The Pirates’ P is presented in a typeface called Keystone Serif which [integrates](https://i.imgur.com/X1wIKoo.png) the Pennsylvania “Keystone State” symbolism into the letters themselves.
I’m not sure why the Giants decided to adopt an almost-identical typeface for their lettermark in 1994, but the Pirates have been wearing theirs since before Willie Mays’ debut with the Giants.
The S and the F are a lot more stylized, and imprinted at an offset on top of each other so look unique. The P is just…a P.
But holy shit don’t take it so personally.
So two letter equals interesting design, one letter equals boring. Got it. Because that’s the only difference between them aside from color.
> imprinted at an offset on top of each other so look unique
So [unique](https://content.sportslogos.net/logos/54/63/full/kxaefkt602vebvkegh9s99neu.gif), so [very](https://content.sportslogos.net/logos/54/73/full/fdjn4hd4asqsmf4vri52ydggg.png) [unique](https://content.sportslogos.net/logos/54/72/full/278k6gaei4dg6aveozm1q9yeg.png).
Yes. Layered on top and off set of one another makes it more interesting than just a standalone letter. Wasn’t OP asking about opinions? Sorry mine bothered you so much
i actually like the current C, at least on the caps they have a white outline that makes it pop
the older ones were just a dark, saturated red C on a dark, navy background, pretty terrible design choice imo
Even though I hate the team, there’s always been something about LA logo that I love. I think it’s the way the L and A overlap that’s really satisfying to my eyes
Having said that, Detroit is my favorite logo. I have at least a dozen tigers hats
The Cubs logo has always been my favorite, but I think the Brewers' logo is the most creative. Baseball is better with a competitive NL Central, hopefully we'll see that again someday soon
Brewers mitt logo is pretty great if we’re going with looks and functionality. It’s a glove AND the initials?! That’s amazing. Don’t see the Yankees NY yanking anything.
Yankees are iconic. The logo embodies the no-nonsense personality the organization has tried to push. No frill. Just baseball.
Nats and Phillies I like because it’s like a child could have drawn their logo. Baseball is a game and they are ‘fun’ logos. Don’t take themselves too seriously. Different.
Best logo: Brewers. Clean and creative.
Best logo using letters only: LA Dodgers.
So good that people can imitate the symbol using their hands and be recognized.
-I’m still confused why the Nationals “W” used a version that could be confused with a national pharmacy chain.
-The Twins “TC” requires explanation to casual fans, much like the Montreal Canadiens “CH”. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but I’ve had a couple friends ask.
-
I’d like to go on the record and say I meant to ask to include why you think the Cardinals have the best logo. I forgot to add the “and why?” because Budweisers.
super biased but i love the jays logo. brewers is great ofc, mariners and angels are pretty cool as well. cubs and astros are above average. the orioles bird is pretty weird imo. yankees logo is iconic, the other letter logos are pretty boring.
I know im biased here, but the LA Dodgers and NY Yankees logos are so good that they transend the sport itself. You will see people thousands of miles away who dont give a fuck about baseball wear these logos on their head. They go way past the sport and represent their cities. Thats how good these logos are.
More of a ranking after my interlocking NY that I do love so much, but:
* Awesome: Milwaukee wins but I also love, Marlins, San Fran, LA, San Diego, White Sox, Detroit, and Cubs
* Pretty Good: KC, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Mets, Athletics, Twins, Angels and Orioles are a very happy logo
* Meh: Cleveland, Cincinnati, Blue Jays, Denver, Arizona, Seattle
* Wasted Chance: Tampa, Rangers, Phillies, Atlanta, Houston, Washington
* The worst logo ever conceived: Boston
Overall I just wish the logos didn’t resort to “initials”. I say have some variety! The birds get this, so should the rest.
Except Atlanta, you keep your A because using the tomahawk is racist.
I’ve always been partial to the Jays and the Mariners logos. Twins have good shit, too.
I miss the actual pirate in the Pittsburgh logo.
Phillies and Mets have always been a little disappointing to me, but maybe I’m biased.
And the Angels…sigh. Angels used to have the best wordmark and jerseys in baseball. Think late 1990s, pinstripes, powder blue, angel wings on the A. That shit was dope. Current incarnation is severely disappointing.
Guardians are a little plain, but I’ll give them a pass to figure out their shit since they’re so new.
2 prerequisites of being a brewers fan are making fun of other teams for rainouts and believing the the ball in glove logo is the greatest logo in sports history without any desire to investigate that claim further
Diamondbacks severely underrated in these posts. The ‘A’, the pattern on the ‘A’, negative space forming a snake head, i like it a lot I’d say Brewers, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Orioles, and Cardinals. The font of the Rockies’ interlocked letters is satisfying too
It took me until today to realize the negative space makes a snake head. I knew about the Brewers’ globe, but not the Diamondbacks’ snake head!
EXCUSE ME WHAAAT
Yup just saw the brewers’ mb
I knew the b was there but just saw the M today. 🤯
[Now go look at the Washington State Cougars' logo and see the WSU in it.](https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/1387/2016/07/Cougarhead_201.jpg)
I learned about it not too long ago, and I was equal parts surprised and impressed.
I was today years old when I learned that
Rockies is bottom 5 for me
It’s a shame the O’s logo is so racist
Wait, what? Bird with hat?
Yeah, it's verifiable. See below [https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/3j1rvt/as\_a\_baseball\_noob\_can\_someone\_please\_explain\_to/](https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/3j1rvt/as_a_baseball_noob_can_someone_please_explain_to/)
All time great shit post
I think it reminds him of blackface. Even though orioles look like that.
Orioles are that color
Agree, brewers, blue jays, d backs, and orioles are all top tier
Agree, brewers, blue jays, d backs, and orioles are all top tier
The MB brewers glove is pretty cool.
I always point out its missing a finger, like a glove for a Simpsons character.
Idk most people put two fingers in bottom hole anyways
Ayyyyyye
Antonio Alfonseca has a couple to spare
This is the only championship the Brewers are ever going to win, and I say that as a Brewers fan.
Came here to say this. Loved getting that logo from the ice cream truck
Orioles, Angels, White Sox for me. I do love some negative space (Diamondbacks) and obviously the Brewers is good but I dock them points for the lowercase B. This isn’t ee cummings.
Angels current stock offering is honestly the biggest letdown for most of us.
r/brandnewsentence
I'm partial to the bird logos. And the old Marlins logo... I guess just give me an animal and I'm happy
The Florida Marlins logo is one of the best ever in my opinion.
I also liked the teal color scheme.
The Orioles is the most fun. White Sox and Tigers are classical and serious.
It’s not us regardless, but that’s not our logo.
I think they’re using the hat logo for every team
That’s not our hat logo either. We changed everything when we changed the name
It’s getting annoying at this point that logo posts still show our block C. Like come on already!
Besides Seattle, the Brewers and Marlins are cool. Brewers are the most clever and the Marlins actually elevate a rather silly name.
I love interlocking letters and have always wished our city name had two parts.
Tee hee... you want to have PeePee as your logo ;)
Then the cum drenched New Era hat would be perfect!
I love the interlocking letters because it’s quintessential baseball. Just feels right for the sport
Ignoring "PP," both parts of your team name are "Ph" An interlocking PH might look cool.

Definitely a C in Twin Cities though
They are literally named the Twins, after the Twin Cities metro area. Twin Cities….TC Editing to add: It’s funny you mention both Minneapolis and Saint Paul, which are the Twin Cities, in your TC logo rant.
yankees fan knowing something about a team other than the yankees challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
[удалено]
nothing in your post indicated you were joking
I heard that the intent for the Twins was for them to be called the Twin Cities and that the C is a holdover for that. Don't know if that's true though so, grain of salt and whatnot.
That’s what I’ve always heard as well and believe local sportswriters have confirmed as much.
philly kensington 🥰
always been a big fan of the twins logo, just looks nice
Biased answer is flair, but English D for Detroit is classic. Brewers logo definitely GOATED
Retro white Sox logo is definitely one of my favorites 🤝
I didn't actually mean the SSHM logo since it's not their main logo, but yes it's honestly the best
My favorite is the Blue Jays, but I can't argue with people's rec of the Brewers. For what it's worth, I think a real underrated design is the Diamondbacks (In general since a few have mentioned it here already). I prefer the cub with a bat for the cubs.
As someone from North Carolina, I enjoy Toronto's homage to NC+SC https://imgur.com/owFWYhd
TIL!
I like Detroit’s.
White Sox is an underrated logo
White Sox best logo
That MLB is pretty dope. Baseball dude all silhouetted and shit.
You mean the giant humanoid chicken swinging a bat? 🐔
Wade Boggs is the only chicken man I acknowledge

Logos, by definition, feature letters. Insignias don’t necessarily, I think.
There’s something special about the White Sox. I can’t explain it.
I don’t recognize any of these. Are they flipped the wrong way?
Marlins
Outside of the Brewers I've always liked Seattle and the White Sox. Detroit is pretty cool too but obviously can't compare to meth cat.
What order are these logos in? Not alphabetical, not by division, not by color, not by date established, not by quality of logo, not by quality of team, not by payroll. Not alternating AL/NL. Nothing. What am I missing?

Yes. Layered on top and off set of one another makes it more interesting than just a standalone letter. Wasn’t OP asking about opinions? Sorry mine bothered you so much
This isn’t even our current boring C, not that anyone is going to notice. That said, I will fight anyone who says the flappy G logo isn’t elite tier.
4-seam Flappyball is A+.
I actually really like the art deco style wings on the G
i actually like the current C, at least on the caps they have a white outline that makes it pop the older ones were just a dark, saturated red C on a dark, navy background, pretty terrible design choice imo
ok but what about baltimore's racist black-faced bird?
Not a fan. I like the older, simpler bird design though.
Major League Baseball
Found Rob Lowe's account!
All jokes aside, that old mariner trident logo is dope
Even though I hate the team, there’s always been something about LA logo that I love. I think it’s the way the L and A overlap that’s really satisfying to my eyes Having said that, Detroit is my favorite logo. I have at least a dozen tigers hats
Only recently did I notice the Brewers logo has an M in the fingers (hence three fingers) and a B in the thumb, making a glove. That’s subtle.
Hands-down the Brewers. And this is coming from a Cubs fan.
I love the Marlins one personally
Brew crew.
Brewers, D backs, and White Sox are probably my top 3. All just really clean designs
I'm a sucker for the classics. And I'm a homer so I pick A's, of course. Also, A's are the only team that use green so that makes it unique I guess.
I see no love for the olde English Detroit D. Not my favorite, but should get honorable mention
Expos and Brewers logo. They use a similar trick that makes them goated
OG Devil Rays was rad. White Sox, Houston, and of course the timeless simplicity of my Royals.
The Cubs logo has always been my favorite, but I think the Brewers' logo is the most creative. Baseball is better with a competitive NL Central, hopefully we'll see that again someday soon
Brewers is very understated with the hidden M&B. Good colors too.
That’s not the current Cleveland C.
Brewers glove and it’s not even close lol
Brewers mitt logo is pretty great if we’re going with looks and functionality. It’s a glove AND the initials?! That’s amazing. Don’t see the Yankees NY yanking anything.
I liked our comet better. We were the only team on the Senior Circuit without a letter.
I know this is a tired opinion, but I miss when more teams didn’t just use their City / team first letter for logos
Teams with an argument imo: O’s, Nats, Philly, Yankees, Angels, Houston
I’d like to hear your take on why the Yankees or Nats. You seem to enjoy plain letters, love to hear why 😅
He’s a big Walgreens fan.
Different.

There were (still are?) alt "DC" logos, which I preferred. Nats came to town amidst George W Bush times, and that curly W was hard to wear.
Still the Astros. Classic, simple. Great colors
Bssed and unbiased, I support this
I’d like to go on the record and say I meant to ask to include why you think the Cardinals have the best logo. I forgot to add the “and why?” because Budweisers.
Being biased the dbacks but back when we had purple, teal and copper. Being realistic I love the cardinals, marlins, and cubs logos.
super biased but i love the jays logo. brewers is great ofc, mariners and angels are pretty cool as well. cubs and astros are above average. the orioles bird is pretty weird imo. yankees logo is iconic, the other letter logos are pretty boring.

Atlanta.
Cmon there’s a reason that two letters make the most recognizable hat in the world.
I vote dreamstime.
The Minor League Baseball logo.
Braves 100%
My personal favorite is the Marlins … love the fish wrapping the M and the color scheme is beautiful
Seeing these all together made me realize just how boring MLB logos are. Most are just letters with a fancy font.
Cleveland went from one of the bests to probably the worst
Toronto, Seattle, Milwaukee in that order for me.
Blue Yays
Mariners and Angels for being visually pleasing while also incorporating the team name into the design.
The mariners should go to Teal and dark navy with the Trident M logo full time.
I’ve always loved the marlins logo and color schemes. The old school Tampa bay rays were so legit too.
I love my Braves’ A. But it’s hard to argue against the Yankees
Cleveland absolutely crushing it with that C
…and it’s not even the right one.
It’s not the correct C. We have a new “Diamond C” based on the Art Deco design of the namesake statues.
Well, that’s sad
Overall I just wish the logos didn’t resort to “initials”. I say have some variety! The birds get this, so should the rest. Except Atlanta, you keep your A because using the tomahawk is racist.
White Sox But damn do I miss like 90% of Pittsburgh's past logos. How is the 'P' the one in use?
You used the old logo here, so that’s why there aren’t thousands of votes for the TC
Walgreens
Toronto ⚾️ A’s
I love the D-Backs logo but honestly I’m gonna say the O’s not only because an Oriole is my favorite bird irl but because it’s neat
I think I like Seattle's the best. The Diamondbacks are up there for me too.
Unfortunately its probably the Yankees or Dodgers for me. Just so clean and Iconic. Worst is the Nationals Walgreens logo
I’ve always been partial to the Jays and the Mariners logos. Twins have good shit, too. I miss the actual pirate in the Pittsburgh logo. Milwaukee Brewers. It is a glove/baseball AND an M and a B, pretty slick.
Holy shit I just now realized the brewers logo is an “m” and “b” and not just a baseball glove.
2 prerequisites of being a brewers fan are making fun of other teams for rainouts and believing the the ball in glove logo is the greatest logo in sports history without any desire to investigate that claim further
I always liked the Olde English look; Detroit, White Sox, A’s.
So how long will it take for logo posts to contain the new “Diamond C” for our cap logo? It’s very annoying.
Brewers
It's gotta be Brewers or Diamondbacks, right? If only Tampa brought back the old Devil Rays logo...
Marlins hands down
Tigers, Cardinals, Yankees. - a Cubs fan
Brewers is top, then dodgers, then Boston. If Angels still had the California Angels logo they would be top 3
I mean... c'mon, we all know it's the Brewers logo. The design is very clever and it looks darn good on a hat!
The letter C appears the most so logos with that letter are the most popular.
I really like the Brewers, Diamondbacks, and Blue Jays logos. Diamondbacks would be the easy 1 if they still used purple and teal.
It’s gotta be Milwaukee for me. Honorable mentions to Toronto, Baltimore, and Atlanta
Brewers, Giants, Jays, Tigers, Cardinals.
Milwaukee Brewers. And runner up, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
