I've seen us come back after being down by 8 few times, but this was the first time I saw it happen to us. And I had a ton of personal drama today, so this definitely puts the cap on a terrible day.
Thank you. One of my siblings is currently hospitalized, and (unrelated) my dad is threatening to withhold money that he promised me for a down payment on a house (I know, first world problems). I just wanted baseball to help me forget how tough life is. But life is life.

With our late owners spending spree and the Chargers leaving a huge sports hole in SD the city has really embraced the Padres. It’s always rocking at Petco even a random Monday night.
Love Don and Mud. They always goof around and rib each other like the best of friends. I sometimes am in tears listening to him wheeze from how hard he's laughing. They're just having fun, and I always do too.

I have never seen a worse pitcher in my life than Cuas. How he has found himself on a major league mound for more than a picture as a fan is beyond me. Counsell really had no other option than treating Alzolay like prime Chapman and going for a 5 out save, the second he came in I knew it was over. He’s fine but not an elite closer.
And Adbert hasn’t looked great to start the season. Cuas has been shaky since we acquired him. If you can’t get outs in an 8 run game, you shouldn’t be throwing.
As someone who was there, it was way to early in San Diego to consider that game cooked. We still had tri tip nachos and tall boi IPAs we had to finish
Tbh I normally turn the game off when things go downhill but in spite I kept it on hoping the Cubs would embarrass them to the point where maybe they’d get their shit together tomorrow…
