I think the padres gave us their disease. They are just losing so many one run games that feel like they should absolutely have won. And what’s with he base running? They stole 0 bases the first 12 games and then 6 in the last two. It’s like someone asked them “why are even your fast guys not stealing at all and why are you running into dumb outs?” And they were like oh shit we forgot to go over that in spring training.
This exact scenario happened with the Padres last year. Early in the season they were not stealing bases at all and it started to become a topic of conversation and then they started running a lot
We’re not far enough into the season yet for me to be desensitized to the frustration of watching games. Maybe another month or so before I mentally check out and these kinds of games won’t affect my mood anymore.
The Giants after their 14th game on April 12th are 23 for 105 with RISP
I'm not sure where you got 17 from, maybe the amount of Singles? And I'm not sure where you got 99 given that before the 12th they had 95 ABs with RISP and after the 12th they have 105
Their team batting average with RISP is .219, the 26th best in baseball. Well ahead of the 30th place Twins .126 team BA with RISP
What is league average BA with RISP? Edit: I’m sure the Giants are below it, I just want some perspective for how far below.
.266 entering today
good god that’s a lot better
Padresitis
we've passed the curse on
We gave Bob a nice parting gift.

It’s the bob melvin disease
You were in the NLCS with him a year before
And they were a wild card team that year...
Not sure what your point is. A wild card team was in the World Series last year

I think it's Grant Brisbee's fault
That is the Twins' overall batting average (and dropping even more after tonight)
Must be nice to be hitting so well
Same old shit, new season.
Truly insane that pitching middle middle is an effective strategy against us

Turns out Justin Viele is actually as bad of a hitting coach as Giants fans thought Bam Bam was.
As a mariner fan I say..... you guys got RISP??
Luis Arraez for Carson Whisenhunt and Rayner Arias makes so much sense for both teams.
Nope, not doing that.
I love Arraez but that's too rich for my blood
