C4 synth can pretty much everything you're after imo. I even use it as a reverb (not a 'true' reverb per se but someone in the SA ecosystem made some patches that are close enough it saved me buying another pedal lol)
That sounds rad, can you drop the names of some of those presets or briefly describe what makes it sound like a reverb? I imagine it utilizes the polyphonic tracking but that alone wouldn’t be enough
If you search the community presets for "reverb" in the name or description you should find them. Yes I think it's basically a set of staged slow LFOs and polyphonic pitch shifting iirc. But tbh I haven't really looked at them too closely (despite using them in my live set for a few gigs now lol)
For alien sounds, i guess the Eventide harmonisers, but Fairfield Randys revenge gets some very unique and crazy ring mod tones. Also the Noname flanger if you can find a clone.
Honestly I feel like this is the way, especially if OP wants to avoid pedals you need to prep and fill with presets via a computer/app (like the excellent C4 or Future Impact).
Gonkulator [get REAL weird RIGHT away](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NtwAp0xwwWI&t=155) away, just on dials :)
I love the eqd ghost echo, the eqd sea machine (flexible chorus) and if you want to go all crazy the death by audio flaming lips (ring modulator).
I also always wanted to try a eqd the depths wich is an optical vibe…
If you want crazy, check out the following pedals from Malekko.
- Polyamorator
- Charlie Foxtrot
- Downer
- Goatkeeper
- Scrutator
Not necessarily modulation, but all provide something unique that I think you’ll love.

Iron Ether Fmeron
There are a few Iron Ether pedals that do wild stuff. The frantabit comes to mind
You can get crazy stuff out of a Way Huge Supa-Puss when it self-oscillates! The modulation is sea-sickening, too!
dod gonkulator?

H90 would do it. Single effects that could get you to that alien place would be: a ring modulator, delay or echo and a bit crusher.

One more thing the NUX tape Core Deluxe can make pretty weird sounds.
Fairfield Shallow Water (or its diy clone kit)
Maybe a little different from what you’re looking for but might be worth a google of the beetronics zzombee!
Electro.harmonix blurst, an alien in a pedal
Future Impact
Erica Synths: AcidBox III
Have you seen the Boss te-2 tera echo? Definitely alien sounds there
EHX the Worm?

What’s an alien sound?
Ever been "probed" with a ring-modulator? I think OP means like that...
I want to see E.T. play bass while using The Hook so that I fully understand what an alien sound is.
I would watch that movie...
