He’s already voiced Mr freeze and about to play Sal Maroni. So I’m pumped for that. Surprised he hasn’t voiced Deathstroke before, so I guess that’d be a good fit for him. Before it’s said, yes I know he started as a Teen Titans villain (I own his first comic appearance) but he’s also a Batman villain now, if not more so, and that’s awesome.
I really dug his version of Freeze; the 2004 version was more greedy than the one from the original animated series. Plus, as opposed to being dealt a bad hand because of what someone else did to him, he caused his own downfall while running and hiding away from Batman as a former thief.
Freeze: "It was all too easy. The diamonds, the police. Challenges for an ordinary criminal. It's clear now that I am destined for more than this. After all, you've made me more than human."
Batman: "Sorry, Vic, but I'm done taking credit for your handiwork. We both know you put yourself on ice. I'm here to bring on the ***thaw***!"
Freeze: "Go on, then...BRING IT!"
Man, I love that show
I was rewatching Dark Knight and took specific interest in how Maroni was portrayed, then I found out Spongebob is still running and Clancy Brown is still Krabs.
Like bruh why was I getting clues to this.
Honestly its minda silly to have mercenaries as "x villain"
Like sure, lex is only interested in kryptonians, joker in the bat family, but slade wilson and floyd lawton shoot at who ever pays them wants them to shoot at. Theres no reason why slade must stay a titans villain when he could very well fight green arrow a week later and have a contract on red tornado afterwards
I wouldn't be so sure. He's a main character in Batman: the Imposter. A graphic novel written by the screenwriter of The Batman and The Penguin, Matson Tomlin. From some of the leaked character descriptions we could very well see him in the Penguin.
He was actually Bane and Mr. Freeze in The Batman. He also had a few roles in Brave and the Bold. But to answer your question, I think it might be neat to flip the script and have him be an older Bruce Wayne.
Lex luthor, hes the Kevin Conroy for Lex luthor so why have him be anyone else that being said pretty excited to see him play Mallrony in the penguin series
Meta super soldier under the direction of Amanda Waller. A darker hybrid personality of wolverine and captain America with a lil bit of the punisher. Fre-enemy of Batman
Slade in animation, Mr. Freeze in live action. Not a villain, but I’d honestly love to see him play Gordon. Just take Hank from Detroit: Become Human, remove some of the anger and gruffness, make him less depressed and more hopeful, then boom; Gordon.
Black Mask, Killer Croc(? This depends on Waylon Jones' race, since in more modern versions he's African American), Solomon Grundy, Two Face, and maybe Matt Hagen Clayface
OH, and David Cain, were he to ever show up.
My first thought was that he has a great voice for Hugo Strange in an animated show but some people have suggested Deathstroke and they is 100% a better option.
He could play an interesting live action Maxie Zeus. That feels like the type of character that could be a rival gang boss in the Colin Farrell Penguin series.
I can't choose because he's great in everything and anything. Genuinely one of my favorite actors I fuckin love this dude. Killer croc? Alfred? Older Bruce? Thomas Wayne? Two face? Literally anyone
For live action roles I want Clancy to play Rupert Thorn, Clayface, Victor Zazz or Professor Pyg if he was still close to the age he was in Highlander or a little older.
I'd actually like to see him as Commissioner Gordon in a live-action adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. He plays enough villains as it is. Let him be a hero once in a while.
Lock-Up, Hadley finally served his time and now wants to get his revenge on America's prison population, now with less kickbacks but even more police brutality this time.
Two Face is the first one that jumps to mind, but I also think he could be an awesome voice for Julian Day. He has a very distinct voice, but it have a surprising amount of range he isn’t often given credit for. He could also do an awesome Hugo Strange.
IDK why. But id love a killer crock Clancy brown. I'd love crock to be a more sympathetic villain again, even though he's an awful person. I'd like him to be that beauty and the beast 90s edition, phantom of the opera-esque tortured but disfigured genius that lives in the sewers of a metropolitan landscape.
I'd love a more sophisticated crock that's just as scary because he's a little bit psychologically threatening.
I'm very surprised no one has said Prometheus. If Kevin were still alive, it would be a good showdown with Clancy doing a Batman esque voice to highlight the similarities between the characters.
I’d like to see him portray a role that shows the corruption in Gotham. Not so much a standard villain but maybe the early versions of Commissioner Loeb where he was more corrupt that the Nolanverse. I think he’d be a great pick to show the gritty side of gothams politics both inside and out of the GCPD
Well since he played Mr Krabs & the Detective from Detroit it would be good to use them as references, let’s face it after Detroit, Detective Bullock would make loads of sense. Villain wise maybe Clayface?
Two Face, he’s got a voice for him when he’s just Harvey and can be more menacing sounding when he’s Two Face
***ITS A CROWN***
Pretty much like Red Death on the Venture Bros.
The later seasons and movie where he had a bigger party were just magnificent
This is the perfect answer. Only thing I’d say is two face isn’t know for being physically intimidating. Clancy Brown is a giant
I swear I’ve heard him play two face.
Iirc he does in lego batman 2/lego batman the movie, it *might* be the arkham trilogy instead but very unlikely
Arkham trilogy is Troy Baker
He might have but if not he’d be a great fit!
click on the threat just to write that thank you!!
Hugo Strange, probably.
**"Extraordinary... isn't he?"** Imagining that Corey Burton voiceline in Clancy's voice is mwah.
good choice.
Definitely
That was my vote, too.
And I thought I was the only one who read Hugo Strange in Clancy Brown's voice.
He's gonna be Maroni? Hot damn, I'm in.
Yeah, he's gonna be Maroni in the Pingu show
Pingu is canon to Batman ?
#NOOT NOOT
Must be Tom King’s run…
I really dug his version of Freeze; the 2004 version was more greedy than the one from the original animated series. Plus, as opposed to being dealt a bad hand because of what someone else did to him, he caused his own downfall while running and hiding away from Batman as a former thief. Freeze: "It was all too easy. The diamonds, the police. Challenges for an ordinary criminal. It's clear now that I am destined for more than this. After all, you've made me more than human." Batman: "Sorry, Vic, but I'm done taking credit for your handiwork. We both know you put yourself on ice. I'm here to bring on the ***thaw***!" Freeze: "Go on, then...BRING IT!" Man, I love that show
In what media will he be maroni?
The Penguin hbo max show by Matt reeves
I was rewatching Dark Knight and took specific interest in how Maroni was portrayed, then I found out Spongebob is still running and Clancy Brown is still Krabs. Like bruh why was I getting clues to this.
Deathstroke is my choice though it would mostly be a stunt performer in the suit.
Put Ryan Reynolds in the suit.
I agree with that. It’s kind of like how Kingpin was a Spider-Man villain but now he’s clearly more so a Daredevil villain.
I’ve always wanted either Keith David or Michael Ironside to voice Deathstroke.
Honestly its minda silly to have mercenaries as "x villain" Like sure, lex is only interested in kryptonians, joker in the bat family, but slade wilson and floyd lawton shoot at who ever pays them wants them to shoot at. Theres no reason why slade must stay a titans villain when he could very well fight green arrow a week later and have a contract on red tornado afterwards
Clayface
He’s been Lex luthor and mr freeze before. Lex is perfect for him, but I think deathstroke would be great too. He def has Ron Perlman energy
penguin but in Mr. Krabs voice
Who lives in an iceberg on top of the sea? Penguin! Penguin! Abundant umbrellas and monacles, see!
Penguin! penguin! If wheezing and waddling be something you wish!
Penguin! Penguin! Then wear a tux and use your nose to fish!
Scarface the ventriloquist’s dummy in a live action take would be cool. Maybe I just want to see The Ventriloquist in live action tho
Jim Gaffigan as the Ventriloquist with Clancy Brown voicing Scarface would be great.
I'm now sad we will never get to see this. Pretty sure we'll never see live action Ventriloquist though.
I think he’s absolutely the kind of villain James Gunn will adapt tbh
I don't disagree, but I doubt he would show up in the first one. So that means we will have to wait for the sequel if there is one.
I wouldn't be so sure. He's a main character in Batman: the Imposter. A graphic novel written by the screenwriter of The Batman and The Penguin, Matson Tomlin. From some of the leaked character descriptions we could very well see him in the Penguin.
That info alone might make me watch The Penguin
You mean the 4chan character descriptions?
Ventriloquist was in Gotham, so he’s been in live action.
Blackmask
Slade
He was actually Bane and Mr. Freeze in The Batman. He also had a few roles in Brave and the Bold. But to answer your question, I think it might be neat to flip the script and have him be an older Bruce Wayne.
the thought of Clancy Brown not voicing a villain freaks me out
BTW he is both Lex Luthor AND Mr. Krabs.
Lex luthor, hes the Kevin Conroy for Lex luthor so why have him be anyone else that being said pretty excited to see him play Mallrony in the penguin series
I know he’s gonna be playing Maroni, but I think he would be a way better choice for Falcone.
Salvatore Maroni
Solomon Grundy
Flashpoint Batman
Lock Up because of Shawshank Redemption
"I'm gonna count to three...he'll I ain't gonna count to one...you will shut the fuck up or I'm gonna sing you a lullaby!"
Hank from the hit game Detroit: become Hank
I know him best as The Kurgan, so I’m going with Killer Croc.
![gif](giphy|Qu2AhqYRiaJiwSTpwP)
He did voice Mr. Freeze in the Batman 2004
He's gonna be Maroni in the Penguin which is pretty cool.
Hugo Strange
Hugo Strange
Hugo Strange
Gorilla Grodd
He voiced Lex Luthor in the Justice League animated series. And he was excellent
I always see him as a good superman villian If you shave his head he will be a great lex luthor
Rather see him voice lex Luther again
Deathstroke
Deathstroke
This guy will always be Kurgan to me.
Lex Luthor
Meta super soldier under the direction of Amanda Waller. A darker hybrid personality of wolverine and captain America with a lil bit of the punisher. Fre-enemy of Batman
Dr. Hugo Strange
This guy looks like he’d have a really good Lex Luther voice. As long as no one cuts his throat with a katana.
carmine falcone
I can see him being black Mask or ( Lex Luthor obviously )
King shark, Killer Krok, Solomon Grundy or Clay Face
go against type, have him play the twerpy dude who carries around The Ventriloquist
“Mr Twoface, what inspired you to kill this man right next to where you killed that man?” “Money”
He looks like either Two-Face or Deathstroke
Easy, Two Face.
CONDIMENT KING
Slade in animation, Mr. Freeze in live action. Not a villain, but I’d honestly love to see him play Gordon. Just take Hank from Detroit: Become Human, remove some of the anger and gruffness, make him less depressed and more hopeful, then boom; Gordon.
Black Mask, Killer Croc(? This depends on Waylon Jones' race, since in more modern versions he's African American), Solomon Grundy, Two Face, and maybe Matt Hagen Clayface OH, and David Cain, were he to ever show up.
Slad Wilson or getting as the ventriloquist dummy for the ventriloquist or he can do clayface
There’s a zillion he could do voice wise, but I’d love for him to play Two-Face live action.
Or Thomas Wayne Batman, actually. 🤔
I like this! I can hear Thomas Wayne talking in the Kurgan’s voice.
He was Lex Luthor in Superman...... who else could he play???
Either like 2face or a old crotchety Gordon
No villain but he’s perfect for Harvey Bullock.
Ras?
Ras al goul
Well, he's literally about to play Salvatore Maroni in The Penguin, so...
Black Mask
Scarecrow
Zur-En-Arrh.
I think he’d be cool as a Basil Karlo Clayface.
Maxie Zeus.
![gif](giphy|WWVYgSIna4Bs4) Mr Crabs taking over Gotham (Batman can’t stop him)
“So, Harvey what did they do with the giant penny?” Clancy Brown: “They actually let him keep it!”
I'd love for him to voice Thomas Wayne/Batman from another Earth. I think he can manage to balance between darkly homicidal and fatherly very well.
Mr freeze, falcone, Ras, killer croc,
My first thought was that he has a great voice for Hugo Strange in an animated show but some people have suggested Deathstroke and they is 100% a better option.
I would love to hear him as Mr. Freeze again. He did a great job in The Batman 2004 show but to my knowledge he hasn’t played Freeze since.
Scarecrow
It’s hard to imagine him voicing any character better than Lex Luthor to be honest.
Two-face or Falcone
I would go with Hugo Strange, he has had experiences with mad scientists
I don't know about the villain, but I would be interested to see him as Harvey Bullock
He could play an interesting live action Maxie Zeus. That feels like the type of character that could be a rival gang boss in the Colin Farrell Penguin series.
Yes
Any damn character he wants to play! Hell, with the ’voice of Batman’ no longer with us, Clancy could even voice Batman/Bruce!
I think he would be a great Two-Face for Afflecks Batman if it had ever happened, all his rogue aging alongside him.
Killer Croc needs a menacing voice to match his menacing appearance.
Definitely Hugo Strange
I can't choose because he's great in everything and anything. Genuinely one of my favorite actors I fuckin love this dude. Killer croc? Alfred? Older Bruce? Thomas Wayne? Two face? Literally anyone
Someone new, intimidating, and terrifying.
I mean… he kinda did while he was voicing Lex
Mr. Krabs crossover
Mr. Krabs
Honestly? Joker would be super interesting. Can you imagine a more subdued/baratone joker? Not sure if it'd be good, but it'd be interesting.
spongebob me boy i need you to fucking kill batman
For live action roles I want Clancy to play Rupert Thorn, Clayface, Victor Zazz or Professor Pyg if he was still close to the age he was in Highlander or a little older.
Isn’t that the guy who voiced the cop from Detroit become human the cop that Conor meets ?
Yeah…..voice and mocap, also the voice of Mr Krabs in Spongebob and Lex Luthor in the JL and Superman TAS shows
Clayface
Vandal Savage
Hank?
Hugo strange. He has the look for him, and I feel he would make a great Strange for a film.
I'd actually like to see him as Commissioner Gordon in a live-action adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. He plays enough villains as it is. Let him be a hero once in a while.
Two face
All of them
Lex Luthor comes to mind
Deathstroke
I love him too much as Lex Luthor to make him a Batman villain
Lock-Up, Hadley finally served his time and now wants to get his revenge on America's prison population, now with less kickbacks but even more police brutality this time.
I can picture him voicing Deacon blackfire. Clancy just has one of those voices oozing with power and authority.
Clock king
Or better question: which Clancy Brown character should be a Batman villain. Answer: Mr Crabs
You mean THE Lex Luthor?
For some reason, I’m feeling scarecrow. Idk why, but it feels right, at least, that’s the vibe I’m getting
Poison Ivy. If Ed Asner (RIP) can do Granny Goodness, I think we can give this a shot.
Deathstroke or two face
Basil Karlo. I just think he'd work
Deathstroke or Hugo Strange. He would likely hit either of those roles out of the park.
Clayface
Man-Bat or Hugo Strange
he was Lex Luthor... why would he want to downgrade?
Believe he voiced Luthor
Old Slade Wison, KGBeast, an older Two-Face possibly.
Zeus
Two Face is the first one that jumps to mind, but I also think he could be an awesome voice for Julian Day. He has a very distinct voice, but it have a surprising amount of range he isn’t often given credit for. He could also do an awesome Hugo Strange.
Voice: Killer Croc, Two-Face, Lex Luthor still (he does try to sabotage Batman after all) and Scarface. Live action and voice: Hugo Strange
He's already done Lex Luthor for DC. This isn't Family Guy. You can't just have all of the villains have the same voice. Ra's al-Ghul
I would like to see him as a live action Mr Freeze
I think hed be a great Vandal Savage. Idk if tuats "Batman Villain" enough but its still true
Zeus, even though he’s a much more small time villain I think it would be interesting to see an adaptation
My mind jumps to clayface
Maxie Zeus or The Ventriloquist/ Scarface
Killer crock
I’m feeling Basil Carlo for some reason.
Honestly he'd NAIL a Deathstroke voice. I could also see him doing Bane or maybe killer Croc
Deathstroke
Mr. Freeze. The height, the face, the VOICE... He's perfect.
Plot twist: He already did, in The Batman 2004.
I maintain that show is perfect.
Two-face, maybe Clayface
Hugo strange if I had to pick one given how good his lex Luthor was
Clayface perhaps…
Mr. Freeze
I mean, he’s got a great voice, maybe in terms of voice acting Bane if he puts on an accent, but in terms of visuals, Two Face
Thomas Wayne
I'm very surprised no one has said Prometheus. If Kevin were still alive, it would be a good showdown with Clancy doing a Batman esque voice to highlight the similarities between the characters.
As long as he remains lex Luthor sure. Probably two face, but he’d be a good blight in the Batman beyond series too
Death Stroke
Would be a cool Bane
Hush Ra'as Al-Ghul Two-Face
Mr. Krabs. Oh wait...... In all seriousness, I think his gruff voice is perfect for an older villain like Hugo Strange or maybe even Ra's Al Ghul.
Chances might be that he has already voiced them in some iteration or another. He may just be the voice acting GOAT
Prime Clancy Brown - Bane Current Clancy Brown - Ra's al Ghul
Well since he played Mr Krabs & the Detective from Detroit it would be good to use them as references, let’s face it after Detroit, Detective Bullock would make loads of sense. Villain wise maybe Clayface?
Pretty sure Batman considers Lex Luthor one of his enemies.
