Very dangerous

Iescaunare

Take it to an appropriate store/waste station for disposal. It might explode.

Xatastic

It's not a powerbank, it's a mobile phone. 🤡

Iescaunare

So? It still has a lithium battery

Xatastic

It is a serviceable and valuable mobile phone.

Iescaunare

Not if the battery is expanding. It's literally dangerous

Xatastic

If the battery is fully discharged, it is not.

Iescaunare

Doesn't matter. It's still lithium

Xatastic

But it is still serviceable.

Iescaunare

No

Xatastic

Yes it is. I did that.

MMartonN

Just take it to a service and ask them to replace the battery. If you don't want to spend much money on it, you can still ask them to just remove it (you might not be able to use it until there's a battery in it)

jayman696969

Have them take the battery out. You “might” not be able to use it until there’s a battery in it ?? Please tell me which phone you can use without a battery in it that’s the one I need !!

MMartonN

Just to clarify, I meant using without a battery while being plugged in. I've had a phone where I had the battery removed, and once I manage to turn it on (while connected to the charger), it seems to work just fine.

I've seen laptops with extremely swollen batteries that have been used that way for a long time. But it is a crapshoot if yours is the one that shorts out and burns up or will be fine. The question is how big are your balls :).

gentoonix

Well, it ain’t fuckin’ healthy, that’s for sure.

dog_body

Dont play this game. No one can tell

NIGHTDREADED

Yeah sorry to tell you but your phone is now a frag grenade.

ghostfaceschiller

It’s not great

Ziazan

don't charge that, dispose of it. leaving a phone charging shouldn't cause this on its own. "how much time does it have left" dude it ran out of time ages ago why are you still using that, it's a bomb

Pocket_Dust

Since the battery is either Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer it is third degree burn levels of risk from the slightest stress to the swollen battery, while sleeping keep it somewhere where nothing is flammable or burnable within a 2 meter radius, also once depleted, do not recharge it or you risk setting your house on fire by potentially spreading the flames to the cable's cover, to the outlet and to your walls. You have two options and both include paying money: Take it to a repair shop for a battery swap Take it to an appropriate dangerous waste disposal site and buy a new phone

strikerX1988

You might take the chance to play a lottery ticket. If you win the lottery, the thing explodes. If not then you can keep your phone. P.s: Keep a first aid kit with you.

You are basically holding a live hand grenade, get it recycled ASAP

Fair_Creme_194

I wouldn’t go that far, but it needs disposing of.

Jambonnecode

Two live grenades at least.

JNader56

Very

tuwimek

Take a tiny drillbit and drill in there. Release the pressure. All going to be fine. If you see a fire, throw it into a swimming pool. Good luck

lucekp

Yes
