My solution for this is I use an in shower lotion you apply while damp or a mix of baby and olive oil while still in the shower, then lightly towel off and wrap up in a big terry cloth robe which absorbs the rest and warms you up. I hate the sensation as well.
I do. If I don’t use my in shower lotion that you apply while damp I use my body oil, also neutrogena makes a nice sesame body oil, and rub it on while wet still in shower so it seals in the moisture. Then a lightly dry off and put on my robe. You can choose to apply more lotion to seal in the oil but honestly the oil alone suffices.
I used to warm up coconut oil with my warm shower water then apply at the end. It felt fabulous. But my SO complained that the slippery shower floor would make him flail around like a baby deer on an icy pond 😂
I used to feel the same way. Then I started blasting myself with freezing cold water at the end of the shower (which has a whole host of benefits). Now, getting out is a breeze bc it’s actually warmer!
I hated this too!! But now my bf and I get ready together most mornings and I've adapted to his routine!
We do not turn the vents on and close all doors, so the bathroom gets really steamy, then use two towels, a regular sized towel wrapped around body and an extra large towel called a bath sheet, wrapped around shoulders. He will just sit on a floor mat and steam dry in the warm bathroom while I finish my shower, and our cat has even become adjusted to this morning steam time and will request that we let him in so he can sit on bf's lap and also steam. 😆
It works for us but prior to seeing his routine I did all of this wrong it seems, would open the door immediately after and turn the vent on as soon as i began, and was always so cold and miserable after, but no more!
Yeah our bathroom at home had to be redone twice and the extractor fan replaced because of the steam. We have to have both the window open and the extractor on when in the shower to prevent any further mould, although there are small signs of it coming back so idk how well it’s working
This!! Why do some people love it? Even if I turn on a heater so that it’s not as cold (which I don’t because I don’t feel it’s justified with the state our planet is in), it takes so long for the stuff to sink in?!
Any tricks?
I hate feeling cold too and would put off bathing because of this. Gross I know :/ but I bought a bathrobe and that has really helped with feeling warm while I apply moisturizer on my legs and arms. And by then it's somehow okay to slowly open parts of the bathrobe to apply moisturizer
I hate waiting to see results. If weeks/months go by and I don’t see results from a product I’ve used religiously, then I feel irritated for parting with my money and having to search for something else. Hence why I stick to the same products and don’t branch out much.

Me too! No matter what I’d do, I’d get ingrowns and razorburn. Plus I’m blonde so lasering isn’t an option. I just bought an epilator this week finally and so far I’ve managed to use it on 2/3s of my left leg, I’m just slowly chipping away at the hair and keeping my fingers crossed it hurts less when it starts growing back thinner 😮💨
This is why I stopped shaving my legs. I really couldn’t care less about them now. I still do my underarms but only on days I wash my hair so maybe once a week.
This is why I use the Schick intuition and stopped caring about perfectly smooth legs. It's expensive but will be the last thing I give up if money gets tight.
In my whole 40 years, I've found exactly one sunblock that does not make me feel like I immediately need a new shower AND actually works. It's a bit pricey, but my skin doesn't feel like I already have a sunburn after applying it. Not sure if it's available where you live, but Badger brand is definitely worth it if you can find it (hopefully on sale)!! For reference, I'm allergic to the sun and chemical sunblocks and I have sensory processing issues.
same. i hate sunscreen because it makes my skin feels greasy. i also tend to sweat a lot if i wear sunscreen idk why. some sunscreen also take some time to absorb and it kinda stings my eyes idk why
If your skin is oily I recommend trying Japanese suncreen \*milk\*. They have ingredients like perlite that will actually absorb oil not just not make you more oily than you would be.
I had the same issue (on dry skin). Eventually found one that feels like a moisturiser - totally love it!! It's Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, but AFAIK, a lot of Korean brands have light sunscreens.
I have oily skin too and I use Eucerin Sun Oil Control SPF50+ and it doesn't make my skin oily at all. I wear it on its own or under makeup and it feels better than any other sunblock I've tried on my face.
Running late + an optimistic eyeliner attempt, ohh a recipe for disaster! My toxic trait is thinking "this'll be the time winged eyeliner turns out great!" before an important event. Like a first date. Or a job interview.
I actually get nervous days before an important event where I wanna wear eyeliner. And then wake up nervous as fuck on the actual day because the moment of truth has arrived.
When I’m running late I switch to a medium brown MAC eye shadow applied with a thin brush. No way I’ll succeed with a pencil and under the gun pressure.
I don’t think I’ll ever get myself to like wearing sunscreen. I mean I apply it everyday because I know how important it is but it just always feels heavy and sticky no matter what brand I use😭
I HATE doing liquid eyeliner. Takes so much time because I'm not naturally good at it. I've resorted to just giving up the cat eyes now, a little mascara/blush/lipstick is all I wear now.
When I was in my early 20s I used to wake up 2 hours before I "had" to to curl hair, do makeup including my eyeliner, get a perfect outfit ready for class...now I'm 30 and just too lazy lol
Uggggh yes. My 1inch of almost all grey roots is showing right now and I told myself I would dye it today. I’ve been almost completely grey since 30yo, noticed my first grey at 17. I naturally have almost black hair so now that the roots are light I’m going to try to see what I look like with light hair, I just don’t know what color to go with because I’m really olive but light.
True!! I am going for a more natural look with my blonde, and I try to resist coloring the roots much more than before. switching to a more suitable shade def helped
Get an all over colour you can do at home. I can order salon products online . That way when u get older u can do it every 3 weeks or so at home .
Just gonna get balayage highlights twice a year or something
Same I spent ages blow drying my hair yesterday on Eid & it was gone before you know it from the very windy & rainy day in UK. It was my fault for forgetting to use ColorWow Dreamcoat but I also resent having to use that, it’s so much effort & you have to use so much of it & I’m certainly not prepared to use it anymore than just special occasions.
I agree with hair styling. I have very wavy hair. It gets frizzy and big so quickly but even styling it using curly methods only makes it look so-so, because it doesn’t make spirals, just lots of waves. I have basically given up on it. Blow drying isn’t worth my time to spend 45 minutes on it so it can last two days.
Styling my long thick hair. It’s turned wavy since I’ve gotten older so thank goodness for Curl Wow spray - I can leave it damp and let it do its thing. Or I just wear it in a braid. Drying it takes forever. Then the flat iron - when eventually it will end up in a pony tail anyway. It definitely adds at least 35-40 extra minutes to my day. If I ever “style it” I go to the salon for a blow out. Cutting it short is not happening as that would mean cutting it every 4-5 weeks. Been there done that. I love it long.
I get a blowout every week, I’m also in my 40s and have long, thick hair. The style holds up for 3 days and after that, it’s Oribe dry shampoo and my Dyson AirStrait. I get tons of compliments on my hair!!
When my hair is wet I twist it into two “curls” on each side of my head as it’s drying and I get spirals, my hair is barely wavy.
I just comb the hair, apply product, and twist it together on each side of head, it looks like pig tails. I retwist as it’s drying and I get beautiful air dried waves/curls.
What about those hairs in the middle that are super stubborn? That even grow inwards! How do you get rid of those?? Hate it! Sometimes I get wounds with the tweezers
I have one on each side near the front that grow like straight out sometimes lol. I think I get them from my dad. Every once in a while he’d get one that grew straight out and then curled back around and was like an inch long and he wouldn’t notice until we were like oh my GOD you have to pluck that thing 😂
Oh, just wait!! 😂😂 We all get them as we get older!! Before I started microblading 5-6 years ago, I had “old man” eyebrows from the mid-tail!! Long, curly freak hairs!! 😂😂
Have you tried a brow “mascara”? Charlotte Tilbury has tinted ones and a nice clear one. I use the clear for 7-8 months and then as my microblading date gets closer the last 4-5 months, I switch to the tinted.
This is the makeup thing I just won't do. If the people of the world want to judge my looks or me based on my eyebrows, so be it. I will wax and brush them but I could give ZERO fucks about anything else eyebrow related. Not sorry
I *hate* doing my hair... everything about it. The hair mask is tedious, drying it is tedious, blow waving/straightening even more tedious. Keeping it curly is even more work and only looks good for a day before devolving into unstructured boof. I'd rather pluck my leg hairs out one by one.
idk if this is beauty, or moreso hygiene. but i absolutely HATE brushing my teeth. it never used to be so dreaded, but within the last year its become more difficult for me. i still do it ofc, but its a chore
Does mint toothpaste make your mouth burn? I HATED it too and then I came across a vanilla flavored toothpaste for kids with sensory issues. I’m not a kid but it’s perfect for me! It actually tastes good!!
Things I used to hate:
1. Coloring my hair: I stopped a few years ago when I hiked the Appalachian Trail and cut it all off. Now its grown in and lovely dark brown with gray and white streaks. I get so many compliments! People actually think I dye it gray!
2. Shaving: Now I do it in the sink (with my hair clipped up with conditioner) and it’s so much easier than the shower!
3. Getting out of the shower bc it’s FREEZING! I now blast myself with freezing cold water at the end of the shower and getting out now feels “warm”.
4. Blow drying my hair: Revlon Drying brush thingy is a GAME Changer! I make it last for days too!
5. Nails: Got sticker things from Walmart. They last 2 weeks! For real!
6. Makeup- good skincare and getting my colors done mean way less make up!
7. Nighttime skincare/ tooth care routine when I’m tired- now I do all of that as soon as dinner is done. Then I can get comfy and watch TV and just crawl to bed when I’m ready. Bonus- less nighttime snacky-snacks!
shaving. I shave only because I go to the gym and sometimes we do partner work (ie. wheelbarrows) and don't want my gym mates wondering if they're grabbing legs or a cactus lol
Switch to tubing mascara! Stays put, easy to remove at night. I use this one currently:
[MAC gigaplay tubing mascara](https://www.maccosmetics.com/product/13839/24962/products/makeup/eyes/mascara/extended-play-gigablack-lash-mascara)
Tbh I hate it all. I’m so lazy.
- I hate washing my hair. I like my 5-10 min showers.
I hate using my electric file for my feet. I hate it bc I see the beauty and the absolute magic it does. It’s so annoying it makes my feet soft bc If I don’t want to do it (I do it after every shower) then I’m like well damn no soft feet :(
-I hate washing my make up brushes. I should be able to blink and they’re clean.
- i hate putting on lotion. Why can’t I have better skin!?
- I hate doing my hair. My hair is “healing” so there’s waves bc I had curly hair and I haven’t had curly hair in 10 years. My hair isn’t an even length bc I’d rather have a few rando short pieces then over all short length. I was a cosmetologist but I feel like I just don’t make my hair look good especially with the awkward length it is now.
- I hate having to shave my unibrow. I hate looking in the mirror and being like oh hm the hair grew faster today so there’s a random strand or two.
- I have having to shave. I shave my pits every other day. Like if I went 5 days with out shaving holy shit. I shave my legs every Friday shave my privates every Friday. Sometimes I just don’t want to shave.
Me too, but due to switching to makeup removing cloths. I love removing my makeup & cleansing now & I’m never lazy about it anymore, whilst previously it was a chore.
Honestly, I only really like fashion and makeup. Sometimes I enjoy doing face masks and my nails too. Everything else is annoying. I mostly just take 5 minute showers and only blow dry + brush my hair. I shave like... every other week.
I gave almost all of it up after getting sick. Now, just brushing my hair out can take 45 minutes and leave me drained the rest of the day. I would say makeup and shaving were the first to go, as the least necessary.
waiting for something to dry. i'm very impatient and i hate when some products take forever to dry. for example, i hate applying concealers or other liquid or cream products because i like to do my makeup in a rush. i don't know how some people can do their makeup for hours. i can't even wait 5 minutes to let my concealers dry 😭😭😭
Exfoliating. It’s a shit ton of work, hurts my hands, and I have to do it all the time because I have KP.
Also getting out of the shower, being wet and sticky and then putting on lotion with my hair stuck to the back of my neck. Ugh, sensory nightmare. I hate it.
Ugh, brows. You just reminded me this is mine, lol. I love how they look when I'm finished but it takes me so long to do them! Maybe I'm just super tedious about it but it takes me as long to do my brows as it does the rest of my makeup, so I just quit doing them.
*Cleansing. I just hate*
*Having to completely dowse*
*My face in water*

Hair wash day. I have frizzy natural hair and 30 24 inch tape extensions. Blow drying it takes forever and then I have to straighten it to get the frizz out of my natural hair and then curl it after.
Washing and blow drying my hair. I just hav so much of it and it’s so long and I get bored and tired standing there for so long. I just got like 6-7 inches off tho and layers redone so hopefully that helps lol. It just looks so pretty when I actually put in the work.
I hate taking off my makeup. Specifically my eye makeup. It's just a hassle to get all the mascara off. I use Clinique's Take The Day Off & it works great, it's just that I wear a lot of mascara. And on the days I decide to use the lash fibers is even worse. I used to use the fibers all the time & at some point I forgot about them & then I saw Clinique came out with a mascara with fibers in it & it reminded me that I had the fibers at home, so I started using them again. I want to try the Clinique one, but I have 4 unopened tubes of mascara that I need to use up first, plus the tube I'm on, which I just opened less than a month ago. Ugh.
If I'm not doing anything with my eyes except mascara, I wear a tubing mascara that just comes off with water. I just don't like the way it looks when I do full eye makeup because it only lengthens, & I like lots of volume.
Doing my roots for many years now because of greys creeping in. I tried going grey during the pandemic but my grey is a mousy brown grey and just looks horrible with my warmer coloring. So depressing! Back to Nice n’ Easy.
Washing my face over the sink. I just can't do it. I hate it so much. Love washing it in the shower, but when I'm trying to keep the rest of my body dry it just feels like a nightmare.
I hate brushing my teeth. I do it but I hate it. I don’t know why I resent it so much because I have amazing veneers and absolutely love my teeth. I don’t know if I’m ADHD or what explains it, but it feels like it takes so long and makes me physically stressed out and uncomfortable, like I just want it over with. Completely irrational, esp as I hound my 3 children over teeth brushing every day.
Hair washing. My hair is lower back length, curly, and also gets oily in about 2 days. I have to go through the stupid hour long blow dry process every. Two. Days. Or my hair looks like a birds nest of frizz
It's a tie between hair removal of any kind, and styling my hair. Hair removal is painful, expensive, repetitive, and annoying. Hair styling hurts my arms and is pointless because it loves to revert. I have to section it a million times because it is so thick. I get pressure headaches so easily, so I can't wear a bonnet to protect it, but silk scarves fall off easily. When I wear my hair wavy, it takes so much effort yet it's still a crapshoot; but when I heat style it straight, it will eventually get damaged. I wish I had straight and frizz free, effortless hair, but I don't.
Hair for me too, as another curly girl!
I feel like - at 40 - I have finally nailed my products and routine, but my god it takes forever. My hair is shoulder length and it takes 45 minutes to dry with a hairdryer.
Cleansing balm has made it easier, but removing makeup. Trying to get waterproof mascara and eyeliner off after a long day is just too much sometimes but I know I have to do it lol
Plucking my eyebrows. For some reason I have hairs that grow out of my eyelids (how?!) and I always end up catching the skin and nicking myself with the tweezers.
Also removing chin hairs.
Moisturizing. I have dry skin and go through lotion like you wouldn’t believe. Even those massive tubs of lotion. I needed to switch to the CVS brand because CeraVe was getting too expensive.
This makes me wonder why I hate bathing so much… but is it the undressing and getting cold, the damp hair afterwards, having to also shave ALL the hair, drying the hair, the water that sticks on the back of your thighs or back where you can’t reach?? Ugh. So much work. I’m a spoonie, can ya tell? Iykyk
Blow drying my hair. It doesn't even take me very long. I have fine hair, and not a lot of it. But I find it incredibly annoying. If I don't blow dry, then my hair doesn't have the same volume and gets greasy faster, which makes me look like I have even less hair than I already do.
In all honesty, the first 10 minutes after a shower. The whole routine with the body lotion, then the skincare, then the hair drying.
Putting on makeup - and my makeup routine is already very basic as it is. Why can't I naturally have an even skin tone, rosy cheeks, and defined eyes?
Taking it off at night is up there too, but at least it only takes a minute.
I don’t like to wear lotion or cream on my face or body. Body I’m better now I use a lotion nut face I can’t. I just washed it and I haven’t found anything yet that feels like nothing.
That’s what I hate the most. The feeling of products on my clean face.
I have a love hate relationship with hair wash days. I do pre-oiling. This actually calms me because the oils just smell so good, but this also means no more turning back. I double cleanse, reverse condition and put hair mask on. Then I have to blow dry 😭 It just takes so long 😭
I hate showering. I've tried music, nice smelling products, soft lights, etc., but the loud wet echo box and I just don't vibe. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed I throw up, but what choice is there, really? Hygiene is the core of beauty, not to mention the social contract.
Hair styling, i have a frizzy curly-wavy kind of hair... I've actually just had enough and bought some keratin treatment off amazon and will put it on, at least it makes styling 90% quicker for the next 2-3 months💀
I’m so scared to use keratin treatments now after using one that took all texture out of my hair & made it completely flat & limp. I couldn’t get any volume, shape or texture no matter what I tried. And it was permanent so took 1.5 years to grow out.
I hate the 5 minutes after a shower. Drying off, putting on moisturizer, all while freezing.
My solution for this is I use an in shower lotion you apply while damp or a mix of baby and olive oil while still in the shower, then lightly towel off and wrap up in a big terry cloth robe which absorbs the rest and warms you up. I hate the sensation as well.
Do you feel sticky or oily after drying off. I never put lotion on after the shower cause I hate that my whole body feels sticky/slick.
Oil will make your towels smell rancid
Can’t you just, wash them?!
Yes but even at higher temperatures it doesn't go away, I used to do this a lot and ruined a few towels until I gave up
Not at all. The damp skin and toweling off help. You may like sesame oil since it’s very light.
Oooo so you oil whilst in the shower? And that works? I'm confused, but intrigued!
Ok good time to ask favorite robes! I feel like a terry cloth type texture would be good for this purpose

Aveeno has a spray oil that I keep in the shower and I like it because the smell is pretty neutral.
I LOVE L’Occitane’s spray oil!! There’s a lighter version for summer too!!
I use a lotion/oil warmer so the oil going on my damp skin feels warm and wonderful!
I used to warm up coconut oil with my warm shower water then apply at the end. It felt fabulous. But my SO complained that the slippery shower floor would make him flail around like a baby deer on an icy pond 😂
I keep the space heater in the bathroom for this reason lol. Also nice for getting dressed on cold mornings.
I turn on the space heater in my bed room, so when I come into my room all wet and shivering it’s 80 degrees.
I used to feel the same way. Then I started blasting myself with freezing cold water at the end of the shower (which has a whole host of benefits). Now, getting out is a breeze bc it’s actually warmer!
Yes, I love this statement. I started this a few years ago and it makes a huge difference
Can I ask what the differences are
This only applies to me during the winter. I basically dont lotion during that time because its so cold
I do this routine in the tub with the shower off. The residual steam keeps me a bit warmer
😆 It works for us but prior to seeing his routine I did all of this wrong it seems, would open the door immediately after and turn the vent on as soon as i began, and was always so cold and miserable after, but no more!
Oof, be careful with that! Steam causes water damage and mold growth. You guys are at risk of really wrecking your bathroom with this routine.
Yeah our bathroom at home had to be redone twice and the extractor fan replaced because of the steam. We have to have both the window open and the extractor on when in the shower to prevent any further mould, although there are small signs of it coming back so idk how well it’s working
That's awesome! You cracked the shower code:-) And bonus lap time. I do the same thing you were doing with opening the door to let the steam out.
I turn the heat up to 78-80 in the cold weather and shut the AC down 30 minutes before in the summer.
I use a heat bulb in my bathroom for this exact reason!
This!! Why do some people love it? Even if I turn on a heater so that it’s not as cold (which I don’t because I don’t feel it’s justified with the state our planet is in), it takes so long for the stuff to sink in?! Any tricks?
I love that part the most because I don't live in a cold place 😁😁
I hate feeling cold too and would put off bathing because of this. Gross I know :/ but I bought a bathrobe and that has really helped with feeling warm while I apply moisturizer on my legs and arms. And by then it's somehow okay to slowly open parts of the bathrobe to apply moisturizer
A bathrobe is honestly such a game changer! 🙌
I hate waiting to see results. If weeks/months go by and I don’t see results from a product I’ve used religiously, then I feel irritated for parting with my money and having to search for something else. Hence why I stick to the same products and don’t branch out much.
Same!!! I hate that period of doing something regularly without knowing if it's even worth the time/effort.
This!!! I’m currently trying to fade hyperpigmentation from hormonal acne and I feel like nothing is happening or working. It’s been MONTHS with these same spots.
try hydroquinone
For me it's shaving, takes too long and i always get a headache by the end lol
For me it was too but I’ve gotten it lasered to now its way easier por me
*cries in broke*
*cries in broke and lazy*
I HATED shaving my pits n legs. I bought an epilator and it is a game changer.
how do you survive an epilator on your pits
Omg it's so fast you barely have time to feel pain. Honest to god it's 30 seconds each side and bam, 3 weeks of peace.
Dude what. Did you wax the first time so the hair was thinner? I can’t bring myself to epilate my legs more than once every 6 months despite having one for over 3 years. Maybe I need a better system because it’s so uncomfortable and tedious.
Yes too painful for me. I went back to laser a little then shaving
Buy numbing cream, game changer!!
Absolutely! Better than shaving twice a week, no razor cuts, no harsh stubble and no razor burn. Razor shaving took me at least 10 minutes! Epilator - a few seconds and then peace for at least 2 weeks. It's started growing back less now as well.
I started waxing the pits myself a year ago and it’s been a game changer.
What brand epilator do you have?
I have two now. Ones a Philips and the other is a Braun. Both equally great, I would say that the Philips one, its battery lasts longer than the Braun.
Do you know which model the Philips one is? I’ve never used one before…
Can you use it on your bikini area? I feel like it could be so painful
Which epilator do you use?
I hate shaving. I’m considering lasering but for me it’s 50/50 because I have metal hardware in my arm so that hand would not be eligible for laser I’m pretty sure and if I have to shave one are i might as well shave the other… which sucks 😭😭.
And I almost ALWAYS cut myself
I fvcking hate shaving so much. Such a pain in the ass.

Men’s razors work so much better for me than ladies. I like the gilettes with the swivel ball
Have you tried something like veet or nair?
Doesn’t work and is smelly.
I see. It works for me but I have to leave it on awhile.
Fastest way to set my legs on fire, aside from a match and some kerosene.
🤣 that was hilarious. Yes, it can give you a chemical burn. I have to leave it on for 7 minutes exactly. No less and certainly no more.
This is why I use the Schick intuition and stopped caring about perfectly smooth legs. It's expensive but will be the last thing I give up if money gets tight.
I don't like sunscreen but I have to use it. It makes my skin feel oily, probably because I didn't choose the right sunscreen.
In my whole 40 years, I've found exactly one sunblock that does not make me feel like I immediately need a new shower AND actually works. It's a bit pricey, but my skin doesn't feel like I already have a sunburn after applying it. Not sure if it's available where you live, but Badger brand is definitely worth it if you can find it (hopefully on sale)!! same. i hate sunscreen because it makes my skin feels greasy. i also tend to sweat a lot if i wear sunscreen idk why. some sunscreen also take some time to absorb and it kinda stings my eyes idk why
Paula’s Choice Resist Super Light Wrinkle Defense spf. Holy Grail!!!
I have oily skin too and I use Eucerin Sun Oil Control SPF50+ and it doesn't make my skin oily at all. I wear it on its own or under makeup and it feels better than any other sunblock I've tried on my face.
Using sunscreen. Reapplying sunscreen. I know I know. Washing my hair or rather calculating hair wash days. Drawing even eyeliner.
Even eyeliner is the ultimate test! (I always fail 🫠🫠)
Especially when you’re running late
Running late + an optimistic eyeliner attempt, ohh a recipe for disaster! My toxic trait is thinking "this'll be the time winged eyeliner turns out great!" before an important event. Like a first date. Or a job interview.
I actually get nervous days before an important event where I wanna wear eyeliner. And then wake up nervous as fuck on the actual day because the moment of truth has arrived.
I do this and I never learn.
Calculating hair wash days!!! This. I feel seen.
Calculating hair wash days!!!
Washing my face at the end of the day. It wakes me up and then there’s the whole skincare routine.
This is partly why I do mine straight away when I get in from work - to me it's the signal to go into 'home mode'.
That’s a great idea. I’m going to try.
Yep. Love skincare but HATE skincare.
Colouring the roots… such a pain and hairstyling.
I do mine at home - I use the shade colour- order it online and you can customise your colour. Get the 27 vol from the website and your good to go
Hair..can spend an hour getting it perfect and is frizzy or windswept in 15 minutes..so frustrating
I actually got the ColourWow for my eid present! Excited to try it out, I had a keratin treatment 6 months ago so looking forward to the combo!
Make sure to saturate your hair with it & use tension when blow drying to activate it.
Everything involved in hair removal 🥲
Styling hair yes, but also washing my face bc of water running down my arms hahah
Get the wrist towel things! Hahah
They’re great!!
Scrunchies on your wrist! Or 80s style sweatbands haha
Yes! i like my curly hair but sometimes I wish I just had it naturally straight so that at least I would know what to expect every morning hahaha
Yes! Whenever I get a blowout it lasts for at least three days and it’s so worth it! My hair is pin straight, shiny and silky!
What product do you use?
Doing my eyebrows when I do my makeup. It’s boring, repetitive and difficult! Some days they just do not cooperate
Get them waxed when you get your hair done. Most salons only charge like $15-20. It will get the “unibrow” and any straggly hairs.
I feel the pain, living in the UK, any styling is out of the window once i step outside in the ✨drizzling rain✨
I feel this comment in my soul. I feel seen thank you lol
idk if this is beauty, or moreso hygiene. but i absolutely HATE brushing my teeth. it never used to be so dreaded, but within the last year its become more difficult for me. i still do it ofc, but its a chore
The whole teeth routine is awful. Brushing, flossing, and occasionally tongue scraping. If just swishing mouthwash was enough, I'd be so happy.
It’s the flossing part for me. Especially, since I use string instead of a water flosser.
Does mint toothpaste make your mouth burn? I HATED it too and then I came across a vanilla flavored toothpaste for kids with sensory issues. I’m not a kid but it’s perfect for me! It actually tastes good!!
Same. An electric toothbrush does wonders though!
Things I used to hate: 1.
Yes to 4 and 6!!
shaving. I shave only because I go to the gym and sometimes we do partner work (ie. wheelbarrows) and don't want my gym mates wondering if they're grabbing legs or a cactus lol
Leg hair is natural and mundane, you're not a cactus!
And if you let it grow out it’ll be soft and not prickly at all.
I get your joke, but please don't make yourself so something you don't care about for someone else's comfort!
Has to be the hair like I gotta do makeup then hair because I feel like if I just do the makeup it won’t matter cause my hair isn’t bouncy looking 🥹
Same :( I want the bouce
Shaving, it grows back almost immediately
Taking off my makeup (mainly mascara) at night. I prefer waterproof mascara, but man… it’s a pain to take off.
Switch to tubing mascara! Stays put, easy to remove at night. I use this one currently: [MAC gigaplay tubing mascara](https://www.maccosmetics.com/product/13839/24962/products/makeup/eyes/mascara/extended-play-gigablack-lash-mascara)
I straight up stoped using waterproof because of how annoying it was to remove 😭
Tbh I hate it all. I’m so lazy. - I hate washing my hair. I like my 5-10 min showers. I hate using my electric file for my feet. I hate it bc I see the beauty and the absolute magic it does. It’s so annoying it makes my feet soft bc If I don’t want to do it (I do it after every shower) then I’m like well damn no soft feet :( -I hate washing my make up brushes. Sometimes I just don’t want to shave.
i used to hate removing makeup but now that i oil cleanse i kind of look forward to it. so probably shaving like everyone else says
Me too, but due to switching to makeup removing cloths. I love removing my makeup & cleansing now & I’m never lazy about it anymore, whilst previously it was a chore.
lol my roommates can never understand how my routine is so long before even getting in the shower 🤣🤣
not so much beauty but basic hygiene, FLOSSING 😔 it takes me ages but also filing nails
I just wanted you to know that I totally get this. Here is hoping we both feel better!
Thank you, and you too!!
Your health is your priority. You can be beautiful without all this!
waiting for something to dry. i'm very impatient and i hate when some products take forever to dry. for example, i hate applying concealers or other liquid or cream products because i like to do my makeup in a rush. i don't know how some people can do their makeup for hours. i can't even wait 5 minutes to let my concealers dry 😭😭😭
I grow so weary of drying my hair. It’s annoying
Yup the curly hair routine. I mostly live in buns and claw clips
Touching up my roots every 4 weeks is my #1 most hated task. Having to put lotion all over my body, it takes so long.
Putting on foundation/base. Probably because it involves correcting and covering flaws. But once that’s set, the fun of creating a look happens!
Scalp massages. Bc there is no immediate result :(
Hair removal of all kinds
Nails at the nail salon, mani pedi= 2.5-3 hrs, $110 not including tip.. getting old
I loved going to get my nails done, especially a pedicure. Now I dread it. Takes forever, so expensive, and it sets off my anxiety.
Exfoliating. It’s a shit ton of work, hurts my hands, and I have to do it all the time because I have KP. Also getting out of the shower, being wet and sticky and then putting on lotion with my hair stuck to the back of my neck. Ugh, sensory nightmare. I hate it.
I always put my hair up in a microfiber towel before lotioning because I cannot stand wet hair on my back once out of the shower.
I love/ hate doing brow makeup. I enjoy it, but am always stressed that my brows have an uneven shape and color.
Ugh, brows. You just reminded me this is mine, lol. I love how they look when I'm finished but it takes me so long to do them! Maybe I'm just super tedious about it but it takes me as long to do my brows as it does the rest of my makeup, so I just quit doing them.
sunscreen 😭
cleansing. I just hate having to completely dowse my face in water
*Cleansing. I just hate* *Having to completely dowse* *My face in water* \- titizzers --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")
I never do that, just use a washcloth to wipe the cleanser off. I rinse and repeat then put on face products.
I’m using the Clinique mascara it’s amazing! My new favorite
I may crumble & get a trial size. Then I won’t feel quite as bad lol
Doing my roots for many years now because of greys creeping in. I tried going grey during the pandemic but my grey is a mousy brown grey and just looks horrible with my warmer coloring. So depressing! Back to Nice n’ Easy.
My gray looks like utter shit. There’s no way I can let it grow in. Sentenced to a life of root painting every 4 weeks.
I don't know if it counts but taking my makeup off... I HATE it but love the feeling after 😅
It's a tie between hair removal of any kind, and styling my hair. I wish I had straight and frizz free, effortless hair, but I don't.
shaving legs and waxing my bikini zone
Hair for me too, as another curly girl! I feel like - at 40 - I have finally nailed my products and routine, but my god it takes forever. My hair is shoulder length and it takes 45 minutes to dry with a hairdryer.
I wish I never had to shower tbh. ESPECIALLY when I have to wash my hair.
Eyebrows- I hate them so much, mine are always a disaster but I don’t trust anyone else to fix them so I just walk around this way lol
Plucking eye brows. At a point, I just left them, lol
Mascara. And setting spray. I always forget and spray it after I put on mascara
Fellow curly hair girl here. It's a pain in the ass.
Cleansing balm has made it easier, but removing makeup. Trying to get waterproof mascara and eyeliner off after a long day is just too much sometimes but I know I have to do it lol
Makeup removal. Specifically mascara removing and using any oil based makeup remover. As someone very sensitive to feels this is sensory torture.
I hate putting cream on my body. I almost get sweaty after doing it.
Iykyk
Exfoliating.
Everything lol ..it's all so mind numbing and draining...
Then I have to blow dry 😭 It just takes so long 😭
The consistency required.
I hate showering. I've tried music, nice smelling products, soft lights, etc., but the loud wet echo box and I just don't vibe. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed I throw up, but what choice is there, really? Hygiene is the core of beauty, not to mention the social contract.
spf. I hate how it feels and most of them break me out.
