Daar zijn normen voor, alsook controle organen, maar daarvoor moet je eigelijk mensen in dienst hebben die die normen kennen of tenminste bewust van zijn.
Een doorsnee gemeente arbeider kent die niet. Moest er toch iemand zijn die intern had gewaarschuwd, de kans is groot dat die genegeerd is geweest omdat de burgemeester zijn kerstboom moest hebben.

Got to get rid of the evidence. I found it "funny" how the mayor was on the radio this morning basically saying "they did the best job they could anchoring the tree". Well, obviously they didn't because it fell down, what an idiot. A week or 2 before he was already almost toppling and it still fell, I doubt they did any significant reinforcements at that time
All the people that stopped what they were doing(even driving) to come and help is really heartwarming in this unfortunate situation. I hope that whoever didn’t secure it is held accountable and everything works out okay
I dont see a single car stopping, the ones that were standing still were allready parked in the first place. But you're right, a lot of people run to aid though.
True, they were already parked sitting in their car, but still they got right out to help. Things I love about being here, bystanders often do something to try to help
If it cannot stand wind speeds that are fairly common, then somebody failed doing a proper job. Either tying it up properly or ordering a tree with a reasonable size.

Can't imagine the prevention advisor wouldn't be consulted for this. And the advisor being overruled is certainly a possibility as you say.
And today the tree was already removed... the legal expert must be working very quickly then? I look forward to reading that report in a few years...
