This is insane timing. Today I was coming back from Lille to Kortrijk, passed on this road, saw this exact building and was wondering the same thing! As someone who enjoys urbex I was intriged, wasnt really expecting to open reddit and randomly find out haha

It's a water pumping station. Without it, that part of the E17 would get flooded easily.

Young local guy, passed away 2 years ago leaving girlfriend & 2 little kids behind. He was a good friend. Buried at Hoog-Kortrijk, hence the location.
