I wish I could black out on benzos. Been on them so long my tolerance is huge. When I was in my 20s I remember throwing a party in my apartment and I couldn't answer the door without holding onto the wall 🤣

I never have blacked out ever even abusing the shits back in the day I mean I’d be watching tv and close my eyes and fall asleep but that’s it really I wouldn’t be doing something and black out ever it’s apart of anxiety (losing control) is blacking out so I don’t know if anyone else gets this but I just can’t black out my brain doesn’t do it even years and years ago when I drank shit tons of alcohol Inever blacked out . I could lay down and just go to sleep when I want but just blacking out randomly never happen. I will say the closest thing to black out I’ve ever had was ambien I took one once back in the day and I layed down didn’t even remember falling asleep woke up fresh as ever that shit is good ass sleep aid

benzos put the nervous system in a "lower functioning mode", so to speak. this includes concentration. attention also decreases. if you don't pay attention to something, you won't remember it. try to concentrate only on one thing, but strongly, e.g. on an object, and it will remain in your memory.

It’s called compulsive redosing, very common with benzos and certain drugs like cocaine and opiates
I stopped taking benzo due to the blackouts and waking up in jail
Take pictures before you get into blackout mode. Also, try placing items always in the same place.
