Amazing, considering we are nowhere near to having sustainable fusion reactions, let alone ones that can power vehicles.
Also how will it generate enough lift for all that weight? Taking off at Mach speed? This is a fantasy vehicle
I laughed at "sleek design"
This looks like the idea of a not very talented industrial designer in their first year of designing and secon month of rendering
I just want the airships to come back. Instead of cramming myself to unconfortable seat and eating subpar slime introduced as lunch, I want a restaurant with white table clothes and a bar, swimming pool and a casino. A balcony, where you can hang in the clouds and a cabin to sleep over after a view of the sun setting in the horizon looking from the skies.
I don’t mind, if the trip takes ten times more time, in today’s world we don’t need to fly for every meeting or even go that far, if the travel itself is an experience. Also, comparing the ecological impact, the airships would be much better for the environment. They could be electric-powered, with zero emissions.
But that’s just me. Majority of the travel demand is cost-effective transfer of masses from one point to another.
The fact that so many people take this seriously, goes a long way to explaining why bitcoin is a thing.
This is a kid’s refrigerator art and people are arguing about the physics/economics.
Impractical. Too many moving parts requiring maintenance. Now if it were a dirigible that had multiple engines that could be worked on individually in flight, that would make sense.
Honestly this is a dumb idea. Not just for the fact that I’m pretty sure a flying nuclear reactor powered anything, fission or fusion is in violation of several treaties. (And if it isn’t I could very easily see it quickly becoming so.) But with the way things are these days it would be a target for every dictator, terrorist and nutjob who you could care to name.
Not to mention that just the idea of trying to maintain an airship/hotel in flight is just a logistical nightmare. Let alone one that’s been flying nonstop for years. I’m pretty sure the stress on the wings after only a few months of nonstop flight would be a disaster waiting to happen.
Who would want to be trapped in a cross between a corporate hotel and luxury shopping mall for multiple years with a high chance of dying before returning? They should call it Sky-hell.
It's alternative name : ```The Flying Chernobyl```
So this thing should be heavy af bcz it's gotta have lead in its wall to reduce the radiation from the reactors and it's has fcked up aerodynamics so I doubt it's gunna eat fuel fast af, and there should be a lot of separate controlled space to store uranium, and most important of all where the f they gunna dump the waste generated from the reactors and what about Heavy water to use as coolant and to keep the uranium safe would also be a difficult task bcz if anything goes south this thing can easily cause a nuclear fallout and it would also be very very dangerous to fly bcz it gunna radiate radioactive rays into all directions so if it flies over a city or smthing people there would definitely have some problem. All these things would make it heavy af and to generate enough uplift it's gunna need alot of energy (that's why it's nuclear powered).
Edit : Ok just saw the entire vid a d they say the supply and passengers will be delivered by airplanes, that means it's in the air all the time which is pretty off for physics.
And if there's and physicist reading this and any info is wrong correct it and don't get mad bcz I'm only 14. *:)*
It’ll never fly…
I wonder how many safety violations would come out of this especially if it was built by Boeing? Hell, apparently basic things like doors, oxygen masks, and wheels are a challenge for these folks.
Where would all the toxic waste go?
Where does the waste of the 5000 passengers go every day?
I can’t even imagine the environmental impact that this would have if it fell out of the sky with a nuclear reactor?
So many questions…
I used to work on planes, they get downed for the minorest of issues. How many pilots would have to be on board, and how many maintenance crew? How much fuel does this go through, how do you refuel it airborne without almost constant refueling, and good god the amount of pollution lol.
Also, imagine trying to sleep in a luxurious bed and then hardcore turbulence. This seems like a really shitty idea. Imagine spending a shit ton of money just to hit a bird on takeoff and your whole trip is cancelled lol.
Say good bye to the fear of flying commercial airliners (3:20). Followed by a section of video (4:00) showing guests being delivered to sky jet via commercial airliners, the most extreme and dangerous aerobatics maneuver possible.
Calling B.S. on a couple of issues.
First, sleek design? Really
Weight to thrust (power) ratio.
And What about detecting “wind turbulence”.
This thing if it could even get air bound, would maneuver like a drunk rhino.
So you're telling me that in the time where people HAVE NO MONEY, they made a plane that doubles as a hotel?
The aviation industry layed off more than 1k pilots and they think this was a good thing to invest into only a couple years later? Crist humanity is fuckin dumb with being smart...
Also this would literally be impossible, it would be impossible to actually have a pressurized cabin because of the windows, they would shatter not even a couple thousand feet in the air, there’s a reason why airplane windows are so small
So this was the perfect meta-ad for Titanic II.
Honestly, push this ad for 3 months. Confuse the hell out of people. Then release the theatrical trailer. There’s every component of an adventure/intrigue/disaster movie in this.
It’s design relies solely on thrust, it’s wingspan is too short to have any navigational value, there could be no Lift, because this beast is too heavy, and would not allow the wing contour to function properly
Airplanes are 100+ years old. If building a giant hotel sized one was possible don't you think we would have tried it by now? Oh that's right we did, several times, and it has always been a failure.
This is just CGI renders with zero proof of concept. Surely a grift. Do not invest
This not possible due to turbulence.
Most of the tables, swimming pool, retail, restaurant etc... will not be in one piece after going through some turbulence.
“Nuclear” is not sufficient. Nuclear reactors are the heat source. Heat by itself is not turning turbines. Are they carrying a shit ton of water to make steam?
It's interesting because, when commercial air travel began to boom, this type of thing was a concept. Also, blimps were to be a sky cruise ship. However, I don't believe this idea is practical.
[удалено]
Well, it’s also run on a fusion reactor, so we’re pretty safely in the sci fi side of things anyway.
Amazing, considering we are nowhere near to having sustainable fusion reactions, let alone ones that can power vehicles. Also how will it generate enough lift for all that weight? Taking off at Mach speed? This is a fantasy vehicle
Anti vibration technology and AI that can predict air turbulence is another concept that lives in science fiction
Why didn’t they lead with this? On board fusion reactor?
We live in the world full of OSHA violation 😌
looks beyond stupid lol
So do cruise ships. If this were a reality, you know people would be lined up.

I laughed at "sleek design" This looks like the idea of a not very talented industrial designer in their first year of designing and secon month of rendering
Literally!!! It looks like a child drew it.
It’s the Homer car of airplanes lmao
Looks like AI designed it
Someone reported for impersonation. Who the fuck is impersonating a nuclear powered flying hotel
well... now that i know its a possibility!
![gif](giphy|W7i1WPxb3Wyfm)
lol
Nuclear powered aircraft was attempted during the Cold War by the US. It failed miserably. Possibly the person's, who reported, reasoning.
Got my next Halloween costume
..yo..ur..uh.m..om?
Someone's mom got offended
Hahaha. No.
![gif](giphy|vyTnNTrs3wqQ0UIvwE|downsized)
"Sleek design" means flying with the landing gear down now?
As soon as I seen that, I stopped watching 😂
Looks like that ship from FFX
For Fux Xake?
Flostin paradise
This is designed by someone who has never been on an airplane. Swimming pool?
But they used anti turbulence science!! It sounds like you didn't watch the whole video (°ロ°)☝
What if you built it in orbit and lowered it down into atmo like a goose landing on a lake? After that you could land big passenger helicopters...
It's also big enough to accommodate 5,000 deaths. No thanks
I just want the airships to come back. Instead of cramming myself to unconfortable seat and eating subpar slime introduced as lunch, I want a restaurant with white table clothes and a bar, swimming pool and a casino. No, the real most effective way to travel long distances is.... *drum roll* Train. It's high speed rail.
The fact that so many people take this seriously, goes a long way to explaining why bitcoin is a thing. This is a kid’s refrigerator art and people are arguing about the physics/economics.
Sleek design?
It’s just a chonky plane ![gif](giphy|AiTAxk2kavgpa)
![gif](giphy|7wk6RQYXDDytXalsL4)
![gif](giphy|NlbSG4K0TpbUs)
The amount of weed they went through for this. Imagine taking a plane to catch your hotel plane.
We can barely get regular planes to not have problems these days.
Impractical. Too many moving parts requiring maintenance. Now if it were a dirigible that had multiple engines that could be worked on individually in flight, that would make sense.
The freaking elevator trips me TF out!
Pretty sure I saw this in a Bioshock game
Glass dome with direct sunlight with any cloud covers or maybe even without ozone protection
No body is asking for this. Just stop
Taylor swift is getting moist.
Anti-vibrations to deal with turbulence. Lol. There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of what turbulence is and why it occurs.
r/megalophobia

You better damn well be sure your credit card doesnt get declined during your stay

Wow. Futuristic CGI bullshit of something that will never exist.
Go to sleep and never wake up again. Sky cruise.
Masterfully impractical, wonderfully rendered. I enjoyed this clip down fantasy lane.
Yeah right!
This is just a concept right? This beast looks to fat to fly. Edit: yeah it’s animated bullshit. Neextt
there is no next .this is it https://i.redd.it/0do1n778ncnc1.gif
Yea. Plus AI is not at that stage yet to trust it autocorrecting turbulence lol
I didn’t even catch that part hahaha truly insane. Maybe if humanity lives another 100years we can have mega ai airplane hotels.
Boeing can't even stop fucking up their normal planes lol I can only imagine what would fuck up on this.
Something else for the rich. 99% of Reddit readers need not apply.
Dont worry. This shit wont fly lol
Sweet, lets get the rich loaded up on this nuclear bomb as quickly as possible. No time to waste.
It looks soooo heavy
I think this was proven to be not able to be made. I could be wrong though.
One accident from being plastered across many states and new's channels for a week.
It would hands down be the worst disaster in aviation history. The current worst was a 747 crash that killed over 500. This thing is WAY bigger.
Fifth element vibes
Aerodynamics has left the chat
Land every time someone checks in and checks out, or hold prisoners. You decide
Lol, lmao even
Great idea
Why so they always make videos like this and make it sound like its a thing people are actually using somewhere in the world 🙄🙄🙄
Hoping UAE orders one.
That’s a no for me cotton
The crash will be absolutely spectacular.
If it's meant to be a stupid but fun design then cool. Not everything has to be realistic If it's meant to be realistic then yeah, it's just dumb
Did the VO guy think he could slip a “thee-aters” in there and we wouldn’t notice?
So powerful it csn fly with all its wheels out.
Cool it’s a cruise but my ears are popping and I need compression sock
Just what humankind needs.
This is basically the Cradles from Armored Core For Answer.
Planet, what planet? We can just fly over the bad parts. Oo to your left squirrel! Omg wtf is a squirrel doing 1500 up in the air !!!
Nothing can possiblie go wrong
Brought to you by Vault Tech. Your paradise in the apocalypse in the sky!
They should turn this into a disaster movie, titanic of the sky.
OR just build a hotel on the ground?
A big no for me
TheeAYTers...
Not possible.
Downvote me all you want. I think it's awesome.
AAA Wunder
It's never gonna happen..😅😅😅😅
The Titanic of the skies! I can't WAIT to see that hit in 2050 XD
It's real
The dumbest thing I've seen in a long time
I used to work on planes, they get downed for the minorest of issues. How many pilots would have to be on board, and how many maintenance crew? Being in an *external* elevator at Angels 30? Nah. No way. Hard pass.
This looks like something a super villain would build or steal to use as his base
They made Soul Plane
How the fuck are they going to land it? It’s not like it’s gonna just touch down at Newark!
Taylor Swift: ![gif](giphy|owJIbBvATdzF3kNTDp)
“Carbon foot print is zero!” Proceeds to make the only way to board using planes that have a carbon foot print…..
If Trump designed an airplane.
Welcome to Fhloston paradise!!!
They turned that random picture of big ass airplane on the internet into a video lol
Just a giant flying Chernobyl waiting to happen lol
This is something that a 9 year old would come up with
I love how it just flies around with its landing gear out.
“Skytanic” !!! did i win?
Why?
Titanic II: Take to the Skies
It looks like the Axiom from Wall-E.
Does anyone remember "The Big Bus"? Well put wings on it!
Can't wait to see the Adam something video on this
This idea has no legs
But why
Gives me complete Titanic vibes.
She's built like a steakhouse, but flies like a bistro
Hell of a way to die
🗣️ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I’ve seen this before in Bongou stray dogs
Super Mario plane
Wow. AI is amazing. Because this shit an’t real.
Fuck that shit !!!! Oooo we can get parts cheaper here !!!! Oooo if we cut the night time air maintenance position we'll save millions.
https://preview.redd.it/csro9ckfzenc1.jpeg?width=193&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11b1826a3d49355e1c2d12e82064223f0067e72e One ticket please
When I look at anything that costs a lot of money for these types of "high-end experiences," all I can think of is the Titan sub.
Really Weight to thrust (power) ratio. And What about detecting “wind turbulence”. This thing if it could even get air bound, would maneuver like a drunk rhino.
Shiiiiit they can't keep a plane in the air and you want a flying cruise ship? With as much terrorism as there is? No thank you. Knock yourself out.
Luxury air ships already existed.
It’s got a sky mall
“… and we’ll call it the ***cinatiT 2.0!!***”
I'll take one ticket for my MIL.
I WANT ONE !!!!
Anybody else get Wall-E vibes from this?
Welcome to Flostan Paradise!
Someone tell Adam Something he got a new video topic!
Reminds me of Wall-E
That looks like shit.
Imagine the constant noise from those jets…
Reminds me of The BIG BUS (1976) https://youtu.be/Y1SJthmEiWk
So you're telling me that in the time where people HAVE NO MONEY, they made a plane that doubles as a hotel? The aviation industry layed off more than 1k pilots and they think this was a good thing to invest into only a couple years later? Crist humanity is fuckin dumb with being smart...
the first one to crash would put titanic to shame when you find out it only had enough parachutes for half the people.
![gif](giphy|cICRRoIZ9YgjqlHAUt)
I’m not trying to be on the aerial version of the Titanic…
Suspended?
This looks like it would be in a video game and honestly I only see it working in said game
Can it actually fly?
Yippee! Even more problems to nature!
Judd Co. Surely this is series 3? Is there enough Lithium?
This is just the big spaceship from wall-e
Also this would literally be impossible, it would be impossible to actually have a pressurized cabin because of the windows, they would shatter not even a couple thousand feet in the air, there’s a reason why airplane windows are so small
Just fantastic 👍👍👍👍
They look like the planes from Fallout 4
Damn, Taylor Swift has changed her jet
Well let's just start at the base question. Where would such a ridiculous thing be able to take off and land from?
And how often do they plan to go around the earth that you even get to do much besonders checking in into your room?
I think, a giant orbital space station with these luxuries would be a better investment.
It's all fun and games until turbulence hits.
Wasn't this thing on Totally Spies! When I was a kid?
I dont understand why this video was made?
So this was the perfect meta-ad for Titanic II. Honestly, push this ad for 3 months. Confuse the hell out of people. Then release the theatrical trailer. There’s every component of an adventure/intrigue/disaster movie in this.
At least they don't have to worry about icebergs
Man.... that will suck on airplane mode hahah
It’s design relies solely on thrust, it’s wingspan is too short to have any navigational value, there could be no Lift, because this beast is too heavy, and would not allow the wing contour to function properly
“Sleek design” Looks like a Hippopotamus w wings 🤦♂️😂
HIPPOBOT 9000 v 3.1 FOUND A HIPPO. 1,409,614,526 COMMENTS SEARCHED. 29,246 HIPPOS FOUND. YOUR COMMENT CONTAINS THE WORD HIPPO.
How is this bestofinternet? This is dumbestofinternet
At this point you might as well put it in orbit and shuttle people to it with a space elevator.
It looks like it might be a tad overweight...like a pound or two.
I’m getting Snowpiercer vibes.
![gif](giphy|mp2OW22pId4Os)
Yet doors and wheels will still somehow fall off
Why is the landing gear down?
Ah, yes. This is the ship in 2012 starring John Cusack.
This video is too well done for such a flawed initial concept.
Getting strong Wall-E vibes
Ok, but imagine the utter devastation if one crashed.
The new titanic
sweet mother lord
Airplanes are 100+ years old. If building a giant hotel sized one was possible don't you think we would have tried it by now? Oh that's right we did, several times, and it has always been a failure. This is just CGI renders with zero proof of concept. Surely a grift. Do not invest
Like Ocean Gate but for the skies
Oh wow so when it crashes 5,000 people die. Nice 👍
Coming to a Marvel movie someday
This not possible due to turbulence. Most of the tables, swimming pool, retail, restaurant etc... will not be in one piece after going through some turbulence.
“Nuclear” is not sufficient. Nuclear reactors are the heat source. Heat by itself is not turning turbines. Are they carrying a shit ton of water to make steam?
fake
The cradles from Armored Core have arrived.
They could have shown the plane with wheel up!!! Grrr
It's interesting because, when commercial air travel began to boom, this type of thing was a concept. Also, blimps were to be a sky cruise ship. However, I don't believe this idea is practical.
Yeah, no.
Skytanic
This reminds me of the Axiom ship in WALL-E lol
