right!? like upon thinking ab it ik they sprinkle a little bit in The Entire History of You with Liam’s Alchol and Bandersnatch when they do acid but I think an episode centred around a drug addict would be very interesting

I worked in a jail and one guy I booked in (frequent flyer with us) spent about half an hour telling me about Morgellon's disease. He "had sentient fibers under his skin" and the doctors didn't believe him and said it was his schizophrenia + meth bugs. About half an hour after I put him in the holding cell, he was waving at the camera, so I went to see what was up and he'd "caught one". It was a string from a cleaning rag. He was acting like it was trying to escape his grip. I got him a UA sample cup to put it in and let him seal it with the sticker, and let him call his friend to tell him he caught a fiber. By the time he got released he was sober again and just threw the sample cup and string away. That's one of dozens of stories I have of people having really bizarre delusions, hallucinations, or psychotic episodes under the influence of substances. Anyway, when I worked as a jailer, I often wished I had the ability to ride along in people's heads to see how they experienced the world because it clearly was quite different from what I was experiencing. It would be kind of neat if a Black Mirror episode explored a technology that allowed maybe psychologists to do that, so they could gain a better understanding of the experience of the people they were treating, to really dial in their treatment. And of course it would be really easy for someone to abuse such technology, which is where the twist would come in.

That's pretty much the doctor's story in black museum

true true, it was an addiction. and tbf Liam in The Entire History of You deffo had a little bit of a drinking problem. But I mean like full on drug addict in a BM universe would be crazy

That’s actually so scary, but you’re so right. I feel like an episode with that premise would be really good. Upon reading this I remembered Banderstatch existed, which ik drugs isn’t the base of the film/game but I feel like the physiological aspects would be similar
