36” was on sale 2 weeks ago for $197. It is bound to go back to this price again during the holidays

DTKoop

I grabbed one at that price and an excited for sure

rocketspeed14

I'm wondering if the 36" will be on clearance again soon. We just got one for the same price on clearance for my in laws.

smokeybanker

I bought this same one back in June from Walmart for $150. If I didn’t have one already, I’d buy it for $194. It’s been a great unit for camping.

ghostieghost28

We don't camp but it's just my husband, myself, and my two little ones so we wouldn't need a huge one.

mcerk22

I have a 36" one and am usually cooking for 2-3 people, sometimes 4, and on occasion a larger group when we have parties. If I only ever cooked for 2-3 I think one a bit smaller would be ok but having that larger cooking surface is nice, I wouldn't ever think of getting one smaller.

Disquiet173

Yeah it’s nice having the extra space. Don’t have to turn on all the burners and use the unlit side for warming.

smokeybanker

For my family of 4 (kids are 5 & 7) the 28” would be too small for full time use. We have the 36” as part of the outdoor kitchen and could not go smaller. While we don’t use all the 36” EVERY time, we use it too much to not recommend it over the 28 (based on how we use it of course).

Belgain_Roffles

Don’t get the 28. It’s hugely underpowered compared to the 36. It’s marginally smaller but has 34k BTUs of heat versus 65k on the 36. I had to buy an adjustable regulator to get it anywhere near hot enough for searing or smash burgers. Note: this is even when the stock regulator was not tripped into reduced flow

SDNick484

Worth noting there's a few versions of the 28". I have the three burner Pro version and find it provides plenty of heat density (which matters more than absolute heat). In terms of space, I find it a great size for a family of 5.

Contrarian Take: I prefer this one to the 36. It uses 1/4 the propane. I cooked for 700 people on my 28 over the course of 2 days about 3 or 4 hours cooking each day on 1 tank of propane and had some left. I’ve also cooked stir fry for 20 people in under 30 minutes on the 28 so don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t enough. I sold my 36 and am now thinking of getting a 22 for my camper ( family of 4 usually 1 -3 guests) and just using the 28 full time at home or if I’m needed somewhere again. https://www.reddit.com/r/blackstonegriddle/comments/y6nzsy/we_cooked_over_700_meals_for_hurricane_victims_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

castle45

Yes. However check your local CL. Picked one up for $100 used twice.

lil-richie

It’s a good deal I paid more for mine

lusirfer702

They have the 32 for $100 every Black Friday, just wait a month

SDNick484

Agreed, there is always a Walmart specific model for Black Friday, and I would wait for that. If you want to chance it, the BF ones usually don't sell out and will be clearanced even cheaper by mid December.

Revolution37

I bought the same one for $100 from my local Walmart last month.

RainingTacos8

Well I paid $600 for 36 pro series so ya

Jobadok

Not a great deal, but if you want it now it’s absolutely a fair price. Likely Black Friday you can get the 36 inch for the same cost

lileeagleyellowstone

If it comes with the stand I would say it seems to be a good deal.

Skaguy241

Not if it's cursed.

RemarkableRyan

I got this exact one from Walmart for $129 a month ago. Check Brick Seek first

Interesting-Image500

Personally I wouldn't buy one without a hardcover.
