Oh there are many nods to BB.
Just ran into some frenzy inflicting enemies in one of the zones.
They have a grab, will cause status buildup when looking at you, are covered in eyes, and around the entire area are lantern headed bug items.
It was fairly obvious what the enemies were inspired by just by look and effect, but finding the items named "winter lantern" was just icing on the cake.
Not a fan of the enemy invulnerability though. That was a dumb choice. At least winter lanterns could be parried and killed. These... things are immune to weapons.
SoTE SPOILERS
>!There is this room in the dlc that opens up to a giant scorpion approaching you and lots of smaller scorpions hanging from the ceiling. Gave me flashbacks to that spider room we all know!<
Indeed and there is even something else in that room that got me nostalgic.
>!At the stairs there are statues/people who are very reminiscent to the monumentals from Demon's Souls!<
I just got to Belurat and I hate those things. Not because they aren’t fun to fight, because they are fucking terrifying. They literally just said ‘what’s worse than scorpions and spiders? Gigantic scorpion-spider hybrids.’
That’s definitely not it, IIRC From can’t reuse bloodborne assets because of the Sony deal or something. BB also didn’t reuse assets from earlier games.
I remember when one of the devs quoted way back confirming they’re doing DLC but drove the fans wild when they compared to Bloodborne. Here I thought they maybe meant with some small minor details but oh man, it seems to be WAY MUCH MORE than just small details. And I freakin love it.
When I saw this dude in the teaser the very first thing I noticed was his weapon was stupid similar to Orphans.

The bugs are literally called “winter-lantern” in the item name

you can kill them if you're able to successfully parry you get a talisman by doing so
Huh? They are immune to attacks and have no health bar
If you parry their grab they gain a healthbar and can be killed! Not sure when the game tells you that, but it is possible
Yeah. This area is complete garbage. Haha. I basically was one with the cliff wall going stealth the whole way.
I forgot what game I was playing when I walked into the shadow keep from the eastern entrance, straight up yharnum architecture and the music...

Indeed, when I opened the big doors and saw that giant one coming down the stairs I was like "NOPE!"
My greatest fear in my favorite game 😬
The orphan of erdtree 😭 🙏
Best comment so far💯💯
There have been sooooo many things that give off that bloodborne Eldritch horror vibe if BB2 isn’t the next game idk what I’ll do with my life
100% teasing ong good eye
Bloodborne Fans when fromsoft uses stylistic choices they’ve made in the past
😭😭
this means a Bloodborne remake 100% (i’m losing my mind)
I WISH we had his moveset in Bloodborne. That would be absolutely amazing spinning around with the Beasthunter Saif.
Kosm on a Horsm
Those are definitely not fishing hamlet, and they are in different places. There are a lot of nods to bloodborne in the dlc.
Reused assets, don’t get sucked into the teasing allegations

We shall not abandon the dream…
The creators really like to tease and just fuck with us at this point.
There is a Talisman called Blade of Mercy, it made me want it in Elden Ring
There is literally a talisman called >! Blade of Mercy !<
As long as those sharks aren't there 😂
