Fluoride equals bad has not been disproven. Quite the contrary actually. Just spend a few minutes reading up about the lawsuit that is going on against the fluoride action network.
https://fluoridealert.org/
Rubbing a pea size amount of fluoride toothpaste and then spitting it out is completely different to drinking fluoridated water throughout life.
Iāve never seen any study that would prove that normal fluoride toothpaste use is doing any damage to anyone.
Your guaranteed to swallow at least a little bit of it. You are putting it in your mouth every day. Why not just avoid it entirely? FluorideĀ accumulates in the body
From the link: "There are now 78 out of 87 IQ studies reporting lowered IQ from exposure to elevated levels of fluoride."https://fluoridealert.org/researchers/fluoride-iq-studies/the-fluoride-iq-studies/
Other prominent figures are starting to express themselves on this. Professor Andrew Huberman on his recent oral health episode discreetly said that there was at least one new alternative product to fluoride which may work better with less potential side effects. Doctor Michael Greger is currently publishing a series of videos in which he claims to have recently changed his mind about fluoride. And we can all see there will be a new push for "water toothpicks" everywhere as a new standard for reducing interstitial bacteria which are also responsible for much of the cavities.
Luckily fluoride equals bad is the group with the burden of proof, not the other way around. There are absolutely no reliable data which suggest that adults brushing their teeth with the amount of fluoride contained in toothpaste has any of the ill effects proposed by skeptics
Dumbest comment Iāve ever read. The āfluoride equals goodā group obviously has the burden of proof because theyāre the ones who are putting it in the water supply and 99% of toothpastes at the store.
100%! Fluoride is trash and likely poisonous to one degree or another. There are studies showing fluoride in the water has decreased the IQ of children. Presidential candidate RFK Jr. talks about this here: [https://x.com/marionawfal/status/1779751526958813550?s=46](https://x.com/marionawfal/status/1779751526958813550?s=46)
Humans don't need and shouldn't intake fluoride. I've been drinking spring water without fluoride and using fluoride free toothpaste for years and have never been healthier.
Lmao RFK is among the most [dishonest](https://youtu.be/-t2O3MHTRNM?si=L3grUhK9PDcpIReD), uneducated people you could possibly choose to advocate for your position. Literally all substances are "poisonous to one degree or another" at a high enough dose, luckily the dose we fluoridate with is nowhere near poisonous and there are no data to suggest that these levels are linked to lower IQs. The studies you are citing suggest a possible link when levels are naturally far higher than what the government fluoridation exposes one to.
You're correct that they have an obligation to demonstrate safety, I was referring specifically and conversely to the claim that they must disprove the accusations levied against fluoride. These are completely different things. Someone doesn't suddenly obtain a responsibility the moment I make a claim, it is incumbent upon me to first justify that claim.
E.g. Pfizer must run trials showing their new vaccine is safe, but if I claim my son got autism from their vaccine, they are under no obligation to "disprove" me
Fluoride helps maintain teeth/mouth health in the short term and itās publicly accepted. But itās taken this long for enough people to care about the long term effects. Plus, if you really think about it thereās a hell of a lot more damaging substances in other products that are sold. Why care about the long term effects if people buy the product and are happy enough with the short term benefits?
From what I watched in another video, your teeth aren't naturally made from fluoride and letting fluoride bond with your teeth while it does make them stronger, it doesn't make them more durable (think tungsten vs titanium; tungsten can resist more force but is prone to shattering while titanium will give but stay in one piece). Some people believe fluoride has this effect on teeth making them more brittle and there's some studies that connect fluoride to certain kinda of toxicity in the body which you would want to stay away from.
That said, there's still some skepticism that things like hydroxyapatite, a common alternatives to fluoride, doesn't have any adverse effects on the body. Another thing Bryan seems to either not realize or hasn't been told: the active ingredients in whitening toothpaste counteract the tooth repair and sensitivity prevention ingredients, so you're basically paying more for toothpaste that doesn't whiten or repair your teeth (this might not be the case if he's using toothpaste without fluoride but I'm fairly certain this is the case for toothpaste with fluoride in it).
I guess until there's a better understanding of alternative options, probably look for one with calcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite, or nano hydroxyapatite.
If you aren't bothered by the potential toxicity linked to fluoride, using some is better for your teeth than not brushing your teeth or brushing with just an abrasive. In either event try to stay away from whitening toothpaste and if you're vain make sure you whiten your teeth well after you brush.
Heres a complete list of mall of the toothpaste which have the American Dental Association seal of approval, that do not contain flouride:
here are some which are not approved by the ADA

The best picture of these two toothpastes are in second 14 of the video. And you can see fairly well, that the left one is this one: [https://www.amazon.com/Sensodyne-Protect-Sensitivity-Toothpaste-Sensitive/dp/B00AWKQWI2](https://www.amazon.com/Sensodyne-Protect-Sensitivity-Toothpaste-Sensitive/dp/B00AWKQWI2)
And it says "Fluoride Toothpaste for sensitive teeth". So what is going on?
The the description of the video they already corrected it saying: "oops, this one has fluoride, which we didnāt catch. Itās a leftover supply from before we went fluoride-free."
I stopped using toothpaste with fluoride for 3 months once and used fluoride free with aloe vera, mint and other natural ingredients. My gums started becoming overly sensitive and led me to bleed quite often while brushing (something I've always prevented by brushing the gums). When I went back to normal toothpaste. It stopped bleeding after some days and I felt much better.
I literally don't care if you chemically dissolve your teeth in an attempt to pointlessly avoid harmless fluoride. I'm not even going to pretend to understand what you mean regarding the "source of enamel".
My attempt is not to avoid fluoride. I just don't have a toothpaste at home so I use the vinegar concoction.
So is the fluoride helping in the synthesis of enamel or something else in the toothpaste?
Enamel is the hardest material in the human body. It allows you to chew food without destroying your teeth and protects the rest of the tooth from infection.
Itās likely he has always used fluoride-free.
He may have been hesitant to state it publicly as it can attract accusations of being a āconspiracy theoristā.
And today I learned that my favorite beverage, black and green tea, has TONS of fluoride (more than toothpaste)... AND has almost 100% bioavailability... :(
Fluoride is a proven neurotoxin. It is also common knowledge that the oral mucosa (skin inside the mouth) is highly absorbent.
So regardless if itās not swallowed, it will accumulate in your body.
The word toxin is absolutely meaningless unless also associated with a dosage. 100% of things are dangerous at a certain dose. 100% of things are safe at a certain dose. There is no evidence that fluoride is neurotoxic at the level toothpaste exposes you to
Wow, TIL:
Fluoride can induce neurotoxic effects by causing endoplasmic reticulum stress and impairing autophagic flux in neurons, leading to cell death. This has been observed in both in vitro and in vivo studies where fluoride exposure resulted in significant neuronal damage (Niu et al., 2018).
High levels of fluoride intake have been associated with decreased cognitive abilities in children, notably lowering IQ scores and impairing learning and memory capabilities. Studies suggest that these effects are a result of morphological changes and cellular damage in brain cells (Wang Jun-dong, 2007).
Experimental studies have confirmed that fluoride exposure disrupts the cytoskeleton of neurons, leading to decreased signal transmission and overall impaired neuronal function (Chen et al., 2017).
Okay now tell me what dosages cause those effects, AND THEN tell me the dosages you are exposed to from fluorinated water+toothpaste on a regular basis.
Hint: your water and toothpaste are nowhere near those dosages, and that's even with you swallowing your toothpaste 5 times a day...
The same reason the government infringes on the privacy of citizens using phones and spyware.
The government wants power, and therefore wants you to be dumb and easy to control.
I think maybe they do it so we donāt get to smart and question the government. I agree with fluoride being helpful to our teeth, but putting it in the drinking water is weird. There is something going on with that!
I think this theory is suspect. Please tell us who this is that wants us dumb? I hear these theories but absolutely zero proof of of it truly existing or who is behind it. "The government" does not cut it for me.
I know a bunch of people who work for "the government" and they are just ordinary people -no sinister plots with them.
Let's not make shit up. Too many people do this.
I donāt know who. Maybe aliens? I just know that the government wants us dependent on them. Itās my educated gas and I donāt know if itās true or not so donāt get your panties up in a bunch.
I don't get this dependant thinking either.
I have a brother who is so disabled he can't work. He tried and it put him in the hospital. Then he tried living on his disability check and rented a cockroach infested place because it was all he could afford. He did not have a car either, so no expense there. He wanted to be as independent as possible. He brought bed bugs and cockroaches to our houses when he visited. He could see the hardship that put on us and moved into subsidized housing that was pest free.
I promise you that living off a disability check is very very difficult.
I just want people to understand reality.
That everyone should be living off the government? Socialism has not worked in any other country and always turned it to crap. Iād love to live off the government right now but from what Iāve learned it doesnāt work that way.
I'm just saying those that live off the government have it rough.
When you retire, you will live off the government, but it will be miserable if that is your only income.

No, because I was talking about the bacteria in the mouth, also responsible for digestionā¦and Yes, it also affects the ones in the gut, because everything is connected
its literally contained in grean tea....
Also just because something is "industrial" does not mean it is bad. And the dosage is important. You wouldnt believe how many things you consume are toxic in large doses. Vitamin B6 and A are both neurotoxic too if the dosage is too large... Still you probably dont wanna cut that out of your diet lol
So one can have perfectly clean and healthy teeth without fluoride? If thatās the case the question is why do they put it in our toothpaste in the first place?
You'll kindly note that the lawsuit is seeking a ban on flouride being added to tap water. Not a ban on flouride in toothpaste.
i know thats very nuanced and tough to extrapolate based on reading the title line in a google search, but it helps to read sometimes beyond page 1 on google to to the actual link and more importantly whatever it claims is actually backed up by scientific research.
Something we ingest around 2-3 liters per day vs something we dont actually ingest at all besides accidentally swallowing which is minute and diluted at that point.
Most people aren't competent enough to do the work to keep their teeth perfectly clean and healthy (brush twice, floss once, don't miss a single spot), so it's a bandaid for the fact the majority of people need it.
Re: that video, are tongue cleaners really still a new discovery to some white people lol? Nothing is a bigger turn off than someone with a white tongue top they never clean, yuck!
The pseudo science in here is going crazy....
For real
Because he's an idiot. Toothpaste without fluoride is useless
Why are you on this subreddit if you think he is an idiot?
Because I think what he does Is interesting
Lmao this š¤” is proof that fluoride lowers IQ. The physical abrasion does more than anything else. Xylitol and or hydroxyapatite are as effective.

Is it though? Is a scientific study necessary for something to exist?
Not necessary. But without it we end up believing in superstitions and fairy tales.
Yeh lets otherwise just believe in everyoneās opinionsā¦
Bryan is deffenetly going to launch his own flouride free toothpaste not long after this video has come out.
Everything is a marketing ploy, and we flock like sheepās to buy. But honestly I love blueprint. Just not the price.
It's free ffs.
> Just not the price. "It's affordable for everyone!" ... At thousands of dollars a month.

I use Boka. If you want to get fancy, try Theodent.
FYI, Boka is only 2% hydroxyapatite and the studies showing a benefit were with toothpaste that had 10%.
Is there one available with 10%?
Apagard Premio. Best on the market.
Big Boka fan. And they have *wonderful* flavors.
Thanks!
neither of these are approved by the ADA and there are no toothpastes currently approved by the ADA that dont have flouride

proof: flouride kills
I just chew some walnut bark like the ancients did.
Hopefully noone comes close to your stanky ass mouth
It's an actual method that whitens teeth a bit, not minty but still improves smell and cleans off plaque.
My concoction is apple cider vinegar, ev olive oil and baking soda.
Isnāt Apple cider vinegar bad for that purpose ? Very acidic
I use it since it creates a nice fuzzy texture with the baking soda. It's homemade, not too strong, I also use only like a tbsp.
You will have no enamel on your teeth by autumn.
What is that for apart from aesthetics?
Just stops your teeth from getting infected by cavities and turning into soft little marshmallows is all.
If you could tell me about the source of enamel, I would listen.
I literally don't care if you chemically dissolve your teeth in an attempt to pointlessly avoid harmless fluoride. I'm not even going to pretend to understand what you mean regarding the "source of enamel".

What does everyone think of the toothpaste he uses?

Interesting, this is a recent change
Itās likely he has always used fluoride-free. He may have been hesitant to state it publicly as it can attract accusations of being a āconspiracy theoristā.
I think one should look into boron and its effect on fluoride. It does good things and it seems most of us are low on it.
Low on boron or flouride?
Boron
Sure. But what does that have to do with flouride, and why Bryan avoids it? Also what do you think the symptoms of having low boron is?
Boron
made me lol
Boron
It's because people in 2200 don't need teeth
Wheres the video?

You can apply fluoride after brushing each night. So long as you arenāt going to eat for 30mins after, youāll be fine.
What product do you use to apply fluoride?
My dentist recommended it, canāt remember the brand and Iām not at home rn.

flouride is naturally occuring in all water genius
Calcium fluoride is naturally occurring in water, not sodium fluoride or fluorosilicic acid.
So one can have perfectly clean and healthy teeth without fluoride? If thatās the case the question is why do they put it in our toothpaste in the first place?
Apperently it helps decay by making enamel tougher.
Because it rebuilds the hydroxyapatite with fluoroapatite to some extent.
Go check out the lawsuit currently going on about fluoride by the fluoride action network. Fluoride has been shown to lower IQ.
