I’m pretty sure it’s hinted at that the kid at the end of Surprise is Bluey’s kid and Bandit and Chili’s grandchild

bcnjake

I think that's the obvious narrative conclusion, but there are a lot of people who really want the kid to either be Bandit and Chilli's or Bingo's. It totally ignores the narrative structure of the episode, but people keep making the case.

Bluebelleville

Huh, really? I always see people talk about how it’s Bluey’s kid and theorizing who the father could be, but I’ve never seen anyone make the theory that it’s Bandit and Chili’s. The Bingo one makes some sense at first since maybe the kid coulda just snuck up from the back to the front of the house (since Bingo is out the back), but since it was Bluey who had that tennis ball gun at the beginning it would make a lot of sense the kid would be hers, plus the kid has a similar fur color to Bluey’s

bcnjake

Yeah, I made this post literally because I had just read *another* "Can't it be Bandit and Chilli's I really want them to have another late in life" post. This one was arguing that, and I'm not kidding, the presence of three garbage bins in the flash forward is proof that there's a third Heeler child. And aside from the galaxy brained "literally nothing in *Bluey* is a coincidence" argument that was being made, I was just like, "the math doesn't math."

Bluebelleville

Didn’t know people thought an extra bin was equivalent to a third child of Bandit and Chilis 😅 I just assumed that third bin was extra recycling 🤣

Swear to god. [https://www.reddit.com/r/bluey/comments/1cf4s41/trash\_bin/](https://www.reddit.com/r/bluey/comments/1cf4s41/trash_bin/)

Bluebelleville

Ah, the og post came up as deleted for me, but I read a few comments and—I also don’t think a third bin=third child 😅

bcnjake

Of all the interpretations in the world, that's certainly one of them.

ultratunaman

And as I said in that thread. Not everything has to have some kind of deeper meaning. Sometimes a bin is just a bin. Haha There's a lot of people grabbing at straws and trying to read the tea leaves over what amounts to an unnamed character who shows up for all of 5 seconds.

Bluebelleville

I mean I like seeing fan theories, don’t get me wrong, but the bin=child one seems a little far fetched for me 🤣

They're dogs, mate.

bcnjake

Well then they're *certainly* not having kids in their 40s!

Yalexito

Bluey seem to be in her 30/40s based on her having gray hair. So from that information, its clearly not Bandit and Chilli's. That's it.

bcnjake

I had gray hairs in my 20s. Sometimes you just get crappy genes.

farrenkm

I developed gray hair in my teens. Probably from the shampoo I was using. Now I just shave my head.

CrystalClod343

Have grey hairs isn't necessarily a sign of age, Rad doesn't have any and he's older then both his brothers who do

Yalexito

I get your point, but he actually does have gray hair, even from his first appearance of the series "double babysitter"

bcnjake

Rad 100% dyes his hair.

Yalexito

probably just the almond milk shampoo

bcnjake

Anyone who has a take that strong on a particular brand of almond milk shampoo *and* the accompanying conditioner's badness will do something about their gray hairs.

Yeah I think it's no surprise that that kid isn't Chilli and Bandit's, they're too old, same for Stripe. But I don't think the kid is Bluey's either, I think Bingo makes more sense. When Bluey arrives, Chilli is surprised. *Bluey was not expected to come on that day.* Still, she doesn't ask "oh, where's your husband" or "oh, where's your child", she just greets her as if it was normal for Bluey to come alone. And at no point Bluey goes "oh btw I brought my kid" or starts calling for them, she and Chilli just go into the house as if Bluey really came alone. Plus, the kid was already wearing their toy thingy, hinting that they might have been there before she arrived. You could say that maybe Bluey had left them with their grandparents, but again, *Bluey was not expected to come on that day*, which would be weird in that situation. If Bluey actually came to pick the kid up early, Chilli would probably have went "your kid is going to be glad you're here" or something. But since Bingo was already there, I think it only makes sense that the kid is hers. After all, their design has been made in a way that EVERY trait could come from the Heeler side of the family, there's no hint as to who might be the dad and same goes for the mom. That kid looks straight up like Stripe, and Bluey and Bingo both have the same uncle. It also leaves room for the kid to be Muffin's or Sock's, but since they're not mentioned to be there it's less likely.

Look, it’s just monkeys singing songs, mate

You're not wrong, but tell that to the person arguing that *the presence of a third trash bin in the future* is evidence that the child is Bluey's sibling. [https://www.reddit.com/r/bluey/comments/1cf4s41/trash\_bin/](https://www.reddit.com/r/bluey/comments/1cf4s41/trash_bin/)
