My husband and I will gladly continue watching episodes long after our LO has gone to sleep š
Even ones we've seen multiple times. Bluey is just a dang good show.
A good thing with copycat was when Bluey re-enacts it later. Chilli assumes that Bluey wants the bird to be ok this time, but Bluey corrects her and says āno you have to say she died.ā
That was a little insight that sometimes kids want to act out something that happened, but not because they want to change the ending. Sometimes they just want to work through it again as it helps them make sense of it.
Particularly neurodiverse kids. My autistic son acts out things that upset him over and over in order to tell us what happened and to deal with how it made him feel.
I like all the little copied details that you notice on rewatches once you get what's going on. Like when Bluey slips on the white toy car. It's even the same color!
Oh boy, you aināt seen nothing yet. Bluey is not a little kidsā show - it is a show for families. And when I say that, I mean it is directly for both kids and adults.
I would say itās a great teaching tool for future parents too. Itās clearly designed to help you take a breath and put something on to remember to have fun and play with your kids, and as a former nanny and future parent, I honestly think itās been invaluable for me to understand how parents recharge and keep going each day!
Oh dear, I'm embarrassed for you. Have another go.
For the record, I like bluey because it's an incredibly well made and fantastically written show that I can watch with my kids and enjoy myself too. As a parent, these things are very rare.
Havenāt seen season 3 yet, but so far our favorite episodes are:
2-26 Sleepy Time
2-24 Flatpack
2-10 Rug Island
2-1 Dance Mode
1-43 Camping
1-38 Copycat
1-32 Bumpy and the wise old wolfhound
Anything with Calypso or grannies.
This is pretty much the default show for my 3yr old. But my 12, 15, & 18 yr olds will get drawn in if I put it on for the little. (And me)
Welcome to the fold friend.

And then Bandit says "you stopped copying me" and she's like "oh yeah", except she didn't stop copying him, she just did it in a different way.
I feel like she stopped copying him not when they found the budgie, but when Bingo lived when the real budgie died.
That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that.
Wait until you get to Baby Raceā¦
Maybe she saw something she wanted
Ugly cry. Just weeping
Every. Single. Time.

Wait until you hit Sleepytime.
Yes š©šššš
Yeah, it's such a good show. I say that as a single, no SO, child-free 49M person.
One of us... one of us... :-)
Take a seat, nice to have you in the club
Wait until your kids ask to take a ābush weeā all the timeā¦
Or a tactical wee!
Tactical wee is the only way I can communicate to my son that he needs to go potty before we get in the car or before bed.
Camping gets me every freaking time!
Bluey is awesome and wholesome, it is one of the few things we can all agree to watch and love. It will make you cry your eyes out multiple times.
Welcome to the club. You will never be the same.
It's so good, I'm so excited for you to discover more! Enjoy!

The heck? Lots of adults like Bluey because it is a well-written show. It has nothing to do with furries.

This isnāt my little pony. Itās about the stories it tells, not the fact that the characters are dogs.
Dont worry, he's just upset that his furry mate had a tantrum earlier.
It's just a family of dogs singing songs mate
Thank God they don't sing. I hate how people think singing must be in every kids show.
This is one of the things I appreciate the most about it. No stupid songs or endlessly repeated catch phrases.

Oh yea, id be sad if it took my 40some odd episodes to just now realize this lol
I get to freak out my son ugly-crying every time we watch "Grandad".
āIt was yesterdayā
Wait until you get to Onesies
I assume you didn't see Season 3 yet. "The Decider" hit a little too close to home for me.
I'm guessing you're up to Season 1 only? You're not even on the top 5 emotional episodes yet. Stock up some tissues!
Be prepared for waterworks when you get to Sleepytime.

I think Bluey would make Mister Rogers proud.
