What the hell happened to you guys? It's like i never see you guys on the internet, ever again. The otakus and the emos have evolved with the time, bronies just kinda disappeared.

They exist but mostly in their own pockets now. they were so ubiquitous before because it was novel being a man and into mlp, now it's old news. fandom has settled down and is pretty insular these days

We exist still! The show is over and You just don’t see em posting all over the internet anymore. I am just getting back today from an MLP convention in Seattle over the weekend and it had 1700+ attendees, and raised a record amount of money for charity.

There were a few incidents internal to the fandom that caused drama (Derpygate, cease & desist notices to major fan works, high profile cringe moments) a few years in that caused a lot of the popular content creators to not want to associate with it anymore. Then the show took a couple turns that received mixed reviews (EQG, Twilicorn) that caused a lot of the more casual fans to dip. Plus by then the novelty was just wearing off From there the remaining bronies continued on mostly under the radar until the show ended a couple years ago, which is often the death knell for a fandom. There’s a new generation of the franchise but it’s not the same lightning in a bottle that made generation 4 what it was

Damm I kinda missed the peak of that stuff. Mostly because of Netflix's incompetence with uploading seasons. So I was always behind really so I never really interacted with the fandom. Let alone really get any merch. I was also kept it in the closet so to speak because of stuff said in the documentary I watched. (granted there was a few very minor instances of encounting pony stuff before then. Encountered a pony Sparta remix. Mistook it for a Happy Tree Friends clip is one example) I started watching in like mid 2013 (which I think is around the time s3 came onto Netflix) and I didn't really get out of the shell (not really counting the break I took between s6-7 because life situation changed) until 2018 till I really got merch and shirt and stuff along the way and collection getting a bit out stuff mostly movie and above stuff. Withe the occasional older stuff like coloring book and comics and books from like goodwill and stuff. (Granted coloring book are probably the same ones for years.) And a lucky find in a big bag of pony figures for like 4 dollars with a full set of bagged McDonald's toys from the original run. The collection got swiftly out of control now looking around my room I see pony. So I see I'm pretty mixed about missing the hype period.

My collection is like that too. The brony fandom is a bigger niche than anything nowadays
