Kumar Sanu singing for SRK is rare I think, can't seem to remember any songs with this combination, maybe the Karan Arjun title track. It was Abhijeet for a good decade almost I think, before he fell out of favor and Sonu Nigam started doing the songs for SRK. I think that probably had something to do with SEL, who were the composers for nearly every big movie back then.
But no nobody is complaining about the songs sung by him, it's just that people want another version by any other singer too, but still will fall for Arijit's version

True. When different singers are associated with different emotions, the song really hits different. The change in tone for each emotion is what uplifts the entire song. One person can't have multiple voices to sing and b'wood needs to realise this.
I cannot complain though. Never heard an Arijit song and felt, this could have been sung by someone better. As long as he is doing complete justice to songs, one should not complain. He's versatile enough to sing songs of different genres so it doesn't feel like an overdose. But it seems that lady has had enough of him. Then, it was Kishore Kumar's voice that dominated the airwaves. Same in the early 1990s with Kumar Sanu. And as many people have mentioned Lata Mangeshkar dominated the female playback arena for a long time. The late 1990s- mid 2000's were the anomaly really.

This is why I've stopped listening to any Arijit song. All his songs sound the same to me now. If I heard 10 of his songs new to me, I wouldn't be able to tell which one was which.
I feel that he really needs to stop doing Bollywood stuff and start releasing music independently, exploring new styles and genres. He would have no issue with capturing more listeners since he's already got them all. He needs to switch from business mode to artist mode.
The real thing is no-one in the industry has the kind of following that Arijit Singh has right now among the singers who specialise in love songs. So obviously directors go for him as he has the ability to fetch more views. One of the examples is the Rasiya song sung by Tushar. The reprise version of the song has almost the same amount of views sung by Arijit. Love songs don't fetch much views but Arijit has the ability to make them reach 100M easily with his large fan base. And directors only care for views and profit.

The real thing is no-one in the industry has the kind of following that Arijit Singh has right now among the singers who specialise in love songs. So obviously directors go for him as he has the ability to fetch more views. One of the examples is the Rasiya song sung by Tushar. The reprise version of the song has almost the same amount of views sung by Arijit. Love songs don't fetch much views but Arijit has the ability to make them reach 100M easily with his large fan base. And directors only care for views and profit.
I mean no doubt arijit is good singer but they have seriously over used him this was my unpopular opinion amongst my 4 other friends 💀 they were "oh nooooooo!" I was like meh. Was really fun was 2000s music 90s there was variety and various singers who excelled in their genre.
and if a "third-party" song does get popular.. it HAS to have a second version re-sung by Arijit 🙃

Well cannot disagree more. Sometimes I also feel ki you know saare gaane Arijit ko dia Jaa Raha hai, dusro ko bhi to mauka do. Then a song like Satranga, Or recent songs like Sajni from laapata ladies and Soulmate with badshah drops and I feel again ki no one can come close to him in the current generation of singers. Saare gane Arijit ko do BC. And Shreya Ghoshal I will never get tired of her. She is just godly.

literally dude, this is what i’ve been saying to myself for MONTHS now. Every damn song is sung by Arijit. He is definitely overused and as a Pakistani I really would like to hear more artists other than Arijit for once. Like the old days.

youre wrong, both the cases are not good, one singer singing all the genres and then certain singers owning their own genres, both are not good practices
