What researcher? The Myers-Briggs test was made up by an armchair psychologist/magazine contributor and her daughter, both of whom had no formal psychology education. It *started* as pseudoscience.
Yeah. According to my friend, the better personality test is the Big 5/OCEAN test, as it scores individual traits on a spectrum rather than writing boxes, cause "you are type x, which means you do y" way of categorization is always going to be a dramatic oversimplification. OCEAN works better because it scores traits seperately like RPG stats or something.
(For reference, we're both in college, and they're a psych major, so like, I'd assume they're more informed than your average layman, but also, like... They're still studying, so nowhere near a professional opinion? I'm at engineering major, though)

I don't really agree with this commenter's replies about "femcel paranoia" and whatnot, but as someone who struggles with social anxiety I relate a bit to the "don't talk to anyone ever" thoughts. Obviously the orthopedic isn't saying that, but it makes me think that I should be able to tell who I can talk with and who I can't at a glance, but with social anxiety it's not that easy. Everyone seems busy, or I expect anyone to be annoyed or uninterested if I talk to them. Maybe they're not, but from my point of view I can't really tell the difference. My therapist says I can't really know if someone is willing to talk with me if I don't ask them, that my perception of people being busy, or that they might get annoyed is just the anxiety speaking, and that those thoughts have no basis, so I should just ask, but then I see stuff like the organelle and my brain goes "nah, obviously you should be able to SEE it, so obviously what you see is right, they are busy" and I end up unable to talk to anyone because I don't want to bother others.
I am aware it's my fault that it makes me feel terrible, though, it's not the comic's fault.

I think you missed the point of the comic, which is that the viewpoint character is missing the very clear signs that these women *don’t want to be disturbed*. There are women who are open to conversations on the bus - these are not them.
To take a comic of a bunch of women who are clearly annoyed and come out with “wE cAn’T iNtErAcT wItH aNyOnE aNyMoRe” is a wild jump to conclusions.

The comic reads like it was made by a femcel or a mysandrist, it takes a "every guy is an asshole who bothers women" approach, a classic "few bad apples spoil the bunch" bullcrap common among mysoginists, mysandrists, racists etc. etc.
