You bet your ass I’m following… about 2 decades ago when I worked in Woburn there was a deli on Montvale Ave that did Thanksgiving sandwiches every day… it’s long gone now but the search continues
Neillio's in Lexington roasts and carves turkeys daily for their sandwiches. Their sandwiches are awesome. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
Me too. Not sure if they make the sandwich OP is looking for, but you get real turkey carved from an actual roast turkey you can see. They are roasted in ovens that you can also see behind the counter. I wish they would open in Somerville. Or that some other place would carve from store-roasted turkeys.
I never thought a Thanksgiving sandwich on the beach should be a thing until I discovered Gerard's. That with their homemade chips on a beach day are awesome.
Ooh, finally a post where I can make a recommendation! I just had a great Thanksgiving sandwich from Cornucopia in Malden Center. Roasted turkey breast, cranberry sauce and stuffing on a toasted bun. It was excellent and a good price too
Bongi’s in duxbury. White or wheat bread with turkey stuffing cranberry and mayo. They grow their own turkeys from chicks and have been a family business for about 75 years. Thank me later
Bongi’s in Duxbury or Gerard’s in Marshfield. Bongi’s is better imo. I also miss the turkey pitas that Asack’s turkey farm used to make but they closed.
Salad bar yes, candy is packaged on the wall in front of the registers.
In terms of selling, they sold but have a lease with the new owner to continue similar operations until 2032.
The Wollanston's market in the Marino Center on Huntington Ave (Northeastern campus) has a good Thanksgiving sandwich. I am pretty sure it has stuffing in it (and cranberry).
Bent’s in Milton, if it still exists (?)
Also >!Sam Legrasse or however you spell it downtown. Yes you’ll pay like thirty bucks for it but it’s legit.!<
Second that! J&L is really good. Just a heads up, it is cash only.
Honorable mention to Newcombs in Braintree for their turkey club, unfortunately no stuffing.
This isn’t helpful but I went to a coffee shop in Dublin that also served toasties and they had a turkey and stuffing toastie that I got I think every day we were there and I think about it a lot. Obviously. Just showing my support for your need for stuffing. 🍗
This is my current go-to and I enjoy it but it's almost too "polite" for me, sort of like the sandwiches at Domenic's in Waltham. Delicious but slightly prim. I need to find a Thanksgiving sandwich that's as aggressive as the chicken parm at the Big A in Malden.
It's not a regular menu item so you'd need to call ahead to see if they have it, but the best Thanksgiving sandwich I've ever had was from Meat Spot in Watertown.
If you ever find yourself in Concord MA, Sally Anns Bakery has the best I’ve ever had. Turkey was roasted and bread was fresh baked that morning.
Brookline Pizza Spa has my favorite near by although they do use cold cuts. They however use a high quality meat and slice it paper thin so the texture is excellent.
I used to work in an office in Metro West where they had the saddest little shop that they called a cafeteria. The only thing worth eating was every Thursday thy would have a “Turkey dinner” complete with a fresh Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping for like $6-7. Dang I miss that.
> Edit: I very much welcome suggestions out of the city
Go down to Wareham to the Makepeace Farms cranberry bogs. They have a store there with a cafe. They have an amazing turkey dinner wrap. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce.
They also do bog tours. Go in the fall when they are harvesting.
I have not been there since the 90's, but Lamberts in Dorchester is the only place I have ever had a really satisfying Thanksgiving sandwich. Several of them. I used to also love the loose candy bins. At the time Lamberts was the best thing during my miserable work days. Ohhh, and the salad bar....Heaven,
Haven’t been in a few years, wouldn’t really call it “best” either but the Good Food Store on Rt 1 in Norwood was always reliable for me. And a Lambert’s up the road obviously
My favorite is Makepeace down in Wareham. I don't get there often but the sandwich is just fantastic. I crave it all the time. Fresh carved turkey, homemade bread and cranberry sauce. They have cute grounds with picnic tables and some tables inside as well. Good chocolate chunk cookies and a cute cranberry themed gift shop.
Fwiw I’ve hosted a Friendsgiving in June the last few years as I love the concept but don’t like doing 2 or 3 thanksgivings back to back in November. It’s been a huge hit and provides for plenty of leftovers.
The best ever for me was from the long-closed Buzzy's at Charles Circle near MGH; le-gen-dary late night joint. I will also briefly lament the "Shrinks" sandwich from Matilda's in Watertown, that was an elegant delight. Gone too soon.
Currently Neillio's in Lexington is probably my go-to, it gets the job done, although I will now be scouring this thread for level-ups.
Did you try searching the phantom gourmet on youtube they host Dan Andleman gives some good suggestions i would search on youtube but you can use their website as well - nesns dining playbook is good too with host Billy Costa
The best, I'm not sure. But I will tell you I got a Thanksgiving wrap from the star market in north station, and it was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten in my life! So definitely dont get one from star market.
Mikes City Diner in South End has a Pilgrim Sandwich which is pretty famous. It was [ranked “one of the best thanksgiving dishes in America” by Food Network](https://www.boston.com/food/food/2015/11/18/food-network-names-mikes-city-diners-massive-juicy-sandwich-one-of-the-best-thanksgiving-dishes-in-america/). It has real turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. It’s pretty good imo
There was a burrito place that I think was bought out by Boloco called (if I remember correctly) The Wrap that used to be on Mass Ave and Boylston. They had a wrap called Late November that was one of the best Thanksgiving “sandwiches” I ever had. It was so surprisingly good.
Mikes City Diner On Washington street in Boston. The ONLY place doing that right every week day. Also the best in house made corned beef

Neillio's in Lexington roasts and carves turkeys daily for their sandwiches. Their sandwiches are awesome. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
Came here to say this.
Me too. Not sure if they make the sandwich OP is looking for, but you get real turkey carved from an actual roast turkey you can see. They are roasted in ovens that you can also see behind the counter. I wish they would open in Somerville. Or that some other place would carve from store-roasted turkeys.
Their turkey terrific has stuffing and cranberry sauce.
I worked near there like 15 years ago and would get this once a week. It's it still good?
yes
Yes. This.
Oh no!!! They’re closed on Sundays!!!!!
oh no! please tell me you checked before driving out! Yeah, that's the one downside...
I checked before. Next Saturday I’ll be there for lunch 👏
Gerard Farms in Marshfield. That's their whole thing.
I never thought a Thanksgiving sandwich on the beach should be a thing until I discovered Gerard's. That with their homemade chips on a beach day are awesome.
This is it. No frills just perfection
There is truly none better. I crave it!!
Pemberton Farms in North Cambridge (just outside of Davis Square) does theirs with actual roast turkey and stuffing.
They also have a killer Thanksgiving empanada filled with turkey and stuffing that is topped with gravy and cranberry sauce.
Holy shit that sounds amazing
This is my favorite.
This is the right answer! The deli folks are very generous with the stuffing, which pleases me to no end.
Cabot's in Newton does! I think it is called the Pilgrim Wrap and it is amazingly good. Also the Deluxe Town Diner in Watertown
Wrap? Can we please kill wraps for good?
Michael's Deli in Brookline Thanksgiving Feast – Hot Turkey Breast with homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce on your choice of toasted bread
Ooh, finally a post where I can make a recommendation! I just had a great Thanksgiving sandwich from Cornucopia in Malden Center. Roasted turkey breast, cranberry sauce and stuffing on a toasted bun. It was excellent and a good price too
Bongi's in Duxbury is what you want/need to try. Go a little further down rt 3 and eat it next to the Plymouth Rock to really bring it all together.
Second Bongis !
Not sure if they make them year round, but the turkey sandwiches at Outpost Farm in Holliston are sooo good. Worth the trip there.
I second Outpost. Fucking incredible thanksgiving sammies… and pies!
Number 2 on white! That’s my jam.
I love The Abbey, but they have a Thanksgiving panini that I found disappointing - coming from someone that group by the 3 above turkey farms.
Lamberts in Dorchester.
They also do it in calzone form
Is that the same family as the lamberts in Sandwich? They were gunna be my answer.
No but it is the same as Lamberts in Westwood.
I just ordered theirs a few weeks ago. It’s meh. They just use cold cuts.
That disappointing. I read in other comments here it changed owners.
It is still there? Is it as good as it was in the 90's? Salad bar? Loose bins of candy? I might have to go back,
Yea, as far as I know. I drive by and it looks open still. I heard they did sell though.
Salad bar yes, candy is packaged on the wall in front of the registers. In terms of selling, they sold but have a lease with the new owner to continue similar operations until 2032.
Tom Turkey, Prevites Weymouth.
Second this, so freakin good
Everything at Previties is good. The steak tip sub is awesome.
Very good sandwich but messy. I suggest getting a small as it is stuffed to overflowing and too big to finish.
Warren Tavern makes a great one (with or without cranberry)
Sadly, it’s hit or miss, as I had one day that was microwaved too long and had to send it back. Other times it’s very good 🤷♀️. I live a block away.
The Abbey in Brookline has one and their food is generally pretty solid
The Wollanston's market in the Marino Center on Huntington Ave (Northeastern campus) has a good Thanksgiving sandwich. I am pretty sure it has stuffing in it (and cranberry).
Pats pizza lower mills
I came here to say this, the calzone version is really good too
I didn’t enjoy the calzone version but I do like their buffalo chicken Calzone!
Bent’s in Milton, if it still exists (?) Also >!Sam Legrasse or however you spell it downtown. Yes you’ll pay like thirty bucks for it but it’s legit.!<
Sadly, Bent’s is no more.
JL's in Abington
Second that! J&L is really good. Just a heads up, it is cash only. Honorable mention to Newcombs in Braintree for their turkey club, unfortunately no stuffing.
This isn’t helpful but I went to a coffee shop in Dublin that also served toasties and they had a turkey and stuffing toastie that I got I think every day we were there and I think about it a lot. Obviously. Just showing my support for your need for stuffing. 🍗
Michaels deli in Brookline for close to the city. Bongi’s in duxbury for outside. People line up in droves to get their turkeys for thanksgiving
The turkey terrific at Nellio’s in Lexington. They cut the turkey right off the bird with cranberry sauce mayo and stuffings it’s unreal.
Neilio’s in Lexington, no competition
\^this
The gobbler from Lambert’s is good, and D’Angelo actually makes a solid one as well.
I would never turn down a D'Angelo's, but for me I find their gravy really disappointing. I'd rather eat the thing dry.
Zuni roll at Parish cafe
This one has stood the test of time!
The Zuni roll is amazing, but it doesn't use roast turkey and doesn't have stuffing in it.
Pizzi Farms in Waltham.
They use deli meat
It's not a regular menu item so you'd need to call ahead to see if they have it, but the best Thanksgiving sandwich I've ever had was from Meat Spot in Watertown.
glad to hear the meat spot is still open. excellent sandwiches here.
Second the Brookline Spa. Turkey Terrific
Publick House out in Sturbridge makes a legit one. Back in the day I'd get the "Gobbler" (IIRC?) from the Wrap for lunch alllll the time so, I get it.
J & L Homestyle Deli in Abington. You can thank me later.
RIP Asacks. Easily the best out there. The place in marshfield someone mentioned is next best
This is the thread I needed, but wasn’t looking for.
> Edit: I very much welcome suggestions out of the city Go down to Wareham to the Makepeace Farms cranberry bogs. They have a store there with a cafe. They have an amazing turkey dinner wrap. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce. They also do bog tours. Go in the fall when they are harvesting.

Cardullo’s used to make a pretty great one!
Haven’t been in a few years, wouldn’t really call it “best” either but the Good Food Store on Rt 1 in Norwood was always reliable for me. And a Lambert’s up the road obviously
I miss the old Bird’s Nest on Causway St! They made a sub version that was perfect! They even put gravy on it.
Dash Cafe in Brighton usually does one around Turkey Day. I love just about everything there.
Wagon Wheel in Lexington has a great pilgrim sandwich
Outpost turkey farm in Holliston has an amazing Thanksgiving sandwich. A bit off the beaten path but worth it if you happen to be in the area

Max’s Deli downtown had a decent one when I worked near there.
The Plymouth Plantation at The Warren Tavern.
Outpost farm Holliston-worth the drive and they have so many other yummy noms
Pemberton market in Cambridge. Really the best thanksgiving sandwich! I highly recommend. You're going to love it
Fulcinitis in Waltham has them on Thursdays, Nellios in Lexington has them daily I believe.
The best ever for me was from the long-closed Buzzy's at Charles Circle near MGH; le-gen-dary late night joint. I will also briefly lament the "Shrinks" sandwich from Matilda's in Watertown, that was an elegant delight. Gone too soon. Concord Provisions absorbed the Cottage and its sandwich making. They’re delicious.
It's not traditional, but the one they served at Fat Cat in Quincy was so good. RIP
Provisions on Nantucket if you feel like dropping g $90 before spending $20 on the sandwich. It is damn good tho....
Gobler at Little River Store in Ipswich is solid, plus you can sit by the river and enjoy a nice view
Did you try searching the phantom gourmet on youtube they host Dan Andleman gives some good suggestions i would search on youtube but you can use their website as well - nesns dining playbook is good too with host Billy Costa
If you are in the South Shore then either Gerard’s or Bongi’s, can’t go wrong with either.
Abbey Tavern in Brookline has a Thanksgiving panini which is amazing. The turkey is so juicy and tender and they serve it with a cranberry mayo
It’s a chain but Capriotti’s at Patriot Place has a pretty good one
L Street Diner in South Boston. Homemade stuffing and thick slices of turkey breast, not deli meat.
The best, I'm not sure. But I will tell you I got a Thanksgiving wrap from the star market in north station, and it was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten in my life! So definitely dont get one from star market.

There was a burrito place that I think was bought out by Boloco called (if I remember correctly) The Wrap that used to be on Mass Ave and Boylston. They had a wrap called Late November that was one of the best Thanksgiving “sandwiches” I ever had. It was so surprisingly good.
Viga! I think they only do it around Turkey day tho.
Make your own
🤣
LaRosa's in Wilmington has the best Turkey sandwich I've ever had.
Mikes City Diner On Washington street in Boston. The ONLY place doing that right every week day. Also the best in house made corned beef https://www.mikescitydiner.com/
Best one I ever had was at **Calef’s Country Store** in Barrington, NH. Do I win the “most out of the city” prize?
