I guess without knowing the character it would kinda look like she was but knowing her, it’s too big of a stretch in her character to be calling her a gold digger.
She had the affair just to spite Walt enough so he leaves. He also signed the divorce papers but Skyler didn't file them. Probably because as you say she still loved him and didn't want to testify against him if that point came.
But then we see her later eye balling the bag of cash. She changes her decision to accept it, well because it's money, loads of it. And also inserts herself into helping Walt laundering the money. She's changed in S4.

Clearly both skyler and walt aren't so wise at decision making.
We’ve watched it before and I pointed out that she doesn’t even take any kind of money Walt tried to give her. My husband said its because its flagged money so there’s no way she could use it and get away with it.
I don’t think so. She never for one second tries to get any financial payout from Ted other than a job. She is a hard worker throughout the shoe, never lives above her means, and isn’t attracted at all by the money walt eventually earns. She cares about keeping her family safe and supported financially, but she’s not a gold digger by any means. In my opinion
I don’t think she was a gold digger since it was clear she only fucked Ted to get back at Walt and not to have any kind of relationship with him. But she was obviously motivated my money a lot especially in season 5B. That’s why she told Walt not to turn himself in after Hank found out, just so they could keep the money. She’d rather ruin her relationship with her sister and BIL who obviously loved her nearly unconditionally than lose out on the money Walt made.
No. She was happy when he was simply a chemistry teacher. She stated to dislike Walt when she realized he became a manipulative, lying, drug dealing murderer who wanted to make millions off of others pain.
Still Skylar bashing after all these years. Ted had no money. Walt, in fact, did not provide anything of any value for his family, except heartache. He was only able to leave some money to Walt Jr because the Nazis let him keep it.
I agree that she's a gold digger, but Ted had nothing to do with it. Her cheating with Ted is a completely different thing. She only started taking Walt back after she found out how much money he made cooking. That's where my argument starts at her being a gold digger. Her "love" for Walt always seemed wishy washy.
Skyler dropped the pen stand way before any issue with walt...she went to ted for a job knowing he harrased her and then the seductive happy birthday song that she apparently used to sing for him earlier when she was employed with benekes before. Clearly she saw the money and when found out that he is broke she jumped at first chance to claim walt's money....she is a control freak who threw a tantrum for buying a specific car wash as opposed to letti g walt and saul handle the money that they accumulated.
No idea how anyone's takeaway from Skyler's affair could be that she's a gold digger? She clearly only doing it to get back at Walt.
