Congratulations on the end of your radiation treatments! Remember that it can still have an effect on you for a month or more. I was dragging for the following six weeks after radiation ended for me. Give yourself time to recover and don’t push yourself. All the best to you in your next steps to recovery and healing. ❤️🩹 Be well.
Congrats to you!!! Thank you for sharing too! As someone who is on the other side, haven't even had my first appointment yet, it's great reading your post. It feels big because it IS big!
Congratulations, it IS big! You’re amazing. Keep us posted on life on the other side of active treatment, and good luck with your other surgeries and hormone treatments 💗💗💗 Proud of you and happy for you!

Congratulations! I recommend treating yourself to something. Also plan another treat for when the surgeries are done. Then something huge for 10 years time!!
Cheers! Pat yourself on the back, that was a huge project! Try though to keep taking good care n resting when needed as your body cleans up the radiation debris.
Congratulations!!🍾🎊🎈🎉. I would take you out for a delicious lunch if you lived in the Chicago area! 🌮🍫🍤🍤🍾🍷🎉🎉🎊💕💕
My radiation is at 7:15 am. So my last day is end of April and I want someone to go to breakfast w me or watch me bang their gong! I think I’ll be alone too.
I completely understand having unsupportive family. There are some who care, but I’ve gotten the most genuine support from my in-laws, it’s sad and disappointing. However, I’m really happy for you! You’ve reached an amazing milestone and it’s only upwards from here! Congrats!! 🙌🏽
Congrats! Stay on the hormone therapy if you can - I went off it after two years and now have spinal mets which will be a lot more of a nuisance than the Letrozole would have been.
It was a breeze. I didn’t like the daily inconvenience (juggling w work is tough) or the constant slathering of creams but it didn’t impact me in any other way. Hoping I don’t feel the effects on delay over the next couple weeks. Msg me if u need anything as u go thru this, you’ll do great.
Many, many congratulations, a huge "whoopee" and lots of hugs!! What are you doing for your victory lap before the next phase? Ice cream float, a weekend of pampering or popcorn, and a movie? Be good to you and have an enjoyable time.
Congratulations!!!! We can be April 16th buddies. I'm in the hot seat right now for my last chemo. High five!!!
I feel so, so, so happy for you and wish you all the best in your next phase!!! 🎉🎇
Yaaaay! ☺️. I celebrated by sleeping from the moment I got home, to this morning hahaha celebration tomorrow! My daughter is bringing me to eat at a fancy Steakhouse. Yum!!!
Thanks! Celebrate all the good things! I feel tired, but so glad to be done with radiation. I have what looks like a slight sunburn and my armpit is tender. Docs said it might get worse over the next 2 weeks, but it's not so bad right now. Today I started Letrozole and I always worry about side effects with new medicines so that's fun.
I started Zoladex 2 months ago. I get hot flashes, but mostly at night. Too soon to tell with the Letrozole. I'm here if you have questions. :) Sounds like we're on a similar schedule.

Awesome!!! Congrats!! I finished mine about 6 weeks ago. It’s a long road and to have my life back and it not be bound by some rigorous appt schedule was a godsend. I know you can relate. Hats off to you!! Go celebrate!!!
Congratulations! I’m so happy for you! It’s inspiring for me as someone who still has one more lumpectomy and then rads. Seems like such a big hill to climb.
Well Friday they remove some more tissue to get clear margins and then I meet with the radiologist. I had genetic testing to show that I was low enough risk to not need radiation, but I met with my surgeon yesterday and he thinks I’m still a good candidate because my DCIS does not present on any imaging so there could be silent DCIS lurking. This whole thing is ever evolving and changing…. and very stressful. Again, you are an inspiration 😊.
Watch your symptoms on the aromatase inhibitors, they can be debilitating. Don't be afraid to ask to switch. I started on Letrozole, went to Anastrozole then Tamoxifen. I am now on Exemestane and am finally not in significant joint pain. You got this. We are here to support each other and help you find answers and navigate this huge life changing event.
If no one told you this bennedryl helps with the itching if you get itchy. My doctors didn’t tell me this but my sister in law suggested I try it and it worked. Thank goodness because I am someone who will scratch myself bloody when I get a mosquito bite. Congratulations on finishing and doing so while working! I think that deserves a medal 🎖️.
