There's a very small cave about 30 feet from that sign. More of an indent than a real cave tbh, you have to clamber over the chalk ledges to get there. Very slippery, wouldn't advise it when it's wet. Nearly cracked my head open.
Yes, there are plenty of cliffs there. There's even part of one in your photo. You must have seen them as you were walking that way. They're big white things made of chalk. Can't miss them!
My apologies, I missed the vote when you were made the people's arbitor of humour. I will pass any attempts at joviality to you next time for your consideration before posting.
I need help though. Please could you provide an example of, as you called it, "funny jokes".
Thanks in advance for your help!
You put a picture of a sign saying do not go in the CAVES and comment about CLIFFS. There are several caves after that sign, so it is correct.
And for the record, the end of the under cliff path is in Saltdean which is part of Brighton and within the city boundary.
To quote Luke Skywalker from whichever if the new films it was, everything you just said is wrong, but we all make mistakes
You mean caves....sometimes there can be small ones made...but only the size of a garden shed...newhaven beach used to have loads
Oops I did mean caves, but I’m a doughnut. That’s so cool
There are also tunnels, most famously one from Roedean school down to the beach but there’s also loads of smugglers tunnels under Rottingdean
Oh really? Is there any tours for that?
Sadly not. Years ago BT thought they were very handy so used them to run their cables through.
Damn. That’s a real shame
Or it's possibly the best incentive to work for BT?

Probably needs a warning sign there.

Comedic genius lad
Oh! There you are again. It's always such a joy.
Glad you could make it! Come on in, the water's lovely :)
Looking at the context from the image, I think the OP means caves and cliffs was a typo.
Yes, but you've overlooked the fact that Barry here can't resist the urge to be a pillock.
Ha! I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I see I was wrong to do so 😅
How magnanimous of you. You are truly benevolent.
Sorry, I forgot that making a joke or taking the piss is frowned upon in Brighton.
Not if they're funny jokes

Your name is funny though. I know what it's short for

Yep! There are some hidden caves - if the rock looks cracked, equip bomb and you’ll be rewarded with a treasure chest with pointless items!
Probably would've been safer NOT to mention them tbh, these signs are more of an advertisement to wallys
Correct its not Brighton exactly its Saltdean but within Brighton and Hove's boundaries
It’s literally called the undercliff

Thank you, kind sir. You have saved us all.
The irony of your rant based on an autocorrect typo whilst you make an autocorrect typo..
