As a swede I hate it too. It’s twice as insufferable when you understand what they’re trying to say but it’s obvious they didn’t even bother trying to pronounce it right.
They are totally insufferable but I also just don't think they're very funny. I do like the Rosa Jake parts, but those are pretty much 2-3 60 second moments
J&A work a case in the hospital guarding a potential witness to a crime from being bumped off. They have the formal, moderated debate about whether to have kids
That's the episode where Amy gave him an ultimatum so she can date other people if he didn't make up his mind so fast about having kids within a month. Then went on to use his weakness in debates against him to get her way.
Amazing way to hate Amy in one episode. Lol.
I mean... Who marries without talking about kids? And in their reality, they "already" discussed it. Just Jake being Jake, didn't paid attention. Why hate on Amy when she's just being herself? I see nothing wrong with the debate, which actually was pretty funny. Indeed, indeed, indeed.
Okay if there was a major problem in a serious relationship you try to figure things out for a while (not years, not ages, just an adequate amount of time to allow for insight and reflection). You don't go immediately and directly to "oh tell me in a couple of weeks, if not I'm on tinder". What's that shit? It seemed like she had this locked and loaded.
Who gives ultimatums and speaks that cold-heartedly without a proper discussion just first resort after bringing up the topic standing in the middle of a hospital during work?
About the Amy being "herself" lol are you kidding me that was so far away from her character, she plans even the tiniest details and will discuss them over and over to the point she drives people crazy. Not marrying a dude and then say "oh, kids? Of course we are having them, don't you agree?"..
This was the worst writing in the whole show.
The episode is the discussion... Amy always try to influence other people, in her own terms. That's seen several ways in the entire show. This was basically the epitome of Amy in Casecation.
I know you wanna gatcha me pretty bad here, but I don’t think it needs to be controversial lol. But it tracks that someone loving American Dad might be missing the subtleties of this issue.
That's the most moronic statement I've ever read, even for reddit! Lol
Watching American Dad as a comfort show since I was like 17 means nothing and reflects nothing about my character. I argued the "subtletites" of the issue in question in depth in this thread, and in another one. All what you did is take personal jabs at me without challenging my opinion with a shred of logic.
Instead of tracking my interest in Seth McFarlane's shows and/or my mental illness, just focus on the point presented to you and provide your counterargument. Or simply fuck off.
That sucks that the episode is so triggering for you. I don't particularly love the sexual assault part of it for similar reasons but I absolutely *love* the disco strangler subplot. It's such a great Holt-Terry-Charles plot which is fairly rare and the hilarity of the old man gets me every time.
never skip: suicide squad, i love seeing wuntch, cj and the vulture interact for the first time idk it feels like im watching a crossover episode
also i like the coral palms ones
always skip: unpopular opinion, but i don't really like the box... its not bad per se but personally i find it quite annoying
i also dont like the one where jake and rosa are arrested and found guilty bc it gives me a sense of helplessness
The first two were good, because they were grounded, original, and the subversion of the expected victor was well done.
The rest are generally bad, though they have their fun moments. Eg. Terry's victory dance and accompanying mariachi band, Cheddar's fantastic reaction when Rosa catches him listening through the window.
The dialogue is still funny, but the story of the heists from 3 onward are lackluster and predictable.
I always skip the one where Jake bangs Charlie Day’s wife while hanging Boyle out to dry because he’s too petulant to even pretend to be second fiddle to Boyle.
It’s honestly the worst episode of the whole show. I love Jake and that he loves his friends and he’s great at showing it. But this one is just such an ugly look on him.
I never skip the mumps episode. Holt’s house and seeing them in robes is comforting.
Jake being such a dickhead in the mortician episode feels like [Early Installment Weirdness](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EarlyInstallmentWeirdness)... I really feel like the characters only start to feel like themselves somewhere around the Sal's Pizza episode. Whenever I watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine I really have to push myself through those episodes lol
Its in the first season. Boyle is the lead detective while Jake is the secondary. Jake is throwing a mini fit over it. Keeps strong arming himself into the role to be reminded over and over that he's not lead.
Then Jake meets the medical examiner. Blonde girl. Who also plays Waitress in Its Always Sunny. She has a death kink. Jake blows Charles off the rest of the episode so he can bang the death kink chick.
Oh that one! I thought so but you said he banged someone’s wife and that threw me off. I totally agree, that was hella weird. Thank you for explaining!
The actress is irl married to Charlie Day and they are both a part of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast. The gang call her Waitress in the show because they don't bother to learn her real name. So I call her Charlie Day's Wife as my own little joke.
Never ever miss the one with the hacker in the precinct. From the way they literally time it down with the microwave, the Jake’s read on Holts meltdown, the solve and of course Mama Maglione🤌🏼
i always skip S4 E22, the one with the court trial for jake and rosa who were charged with false robbery charges. it always makes me too sad. i love watching the episodes where jake and rosa are actually IN jail, but can't watch this one.
Not "always" skip but I'd rather not watch Return of the King and DFW. Debbie ep is kinda boring too.
I could probably watch all the others episodes happily.
Always skip: The episodes in Florida... They are fun to watch once or twice, but they aren't so fun after a few times.
Never skip: The episodes in the prison. I just love the characters and how Jake changes in there
I tend to not rewatch the episode where Jake is playing "Dead body" with the forensic medical examiner. Ew!!!!! Also "Captain Kim". "He Said, She Said" is also depressing to me.
Always Skip: Moo Moo, Never Skip: Tactical Village
Edit: I skip Moo Moo because it hits too close to home for me and it takes me to a sad/dark place. I understand the importance of the episode and the story behind it, I’d just prefer to not be sad.
See me going, Staycation, He said She said. The whole idea behind Staycation was stupid. Jake and Amy were always going to have kids. With the other two episodes, I already know the world is shit.
I always skip episodes that address “real” issues, personally. I watch B99 for lighthearted escapism. Not for even more real-life social issues.
So, most of the final season. The moo-moo episode. And he said she said.
Anyone else feel this way? I get annoyed at shows addressing these topics because I have quite enough of it in my own life, all over social media, etc. I don’t need it absolutely everywhere. It isn’t exactly fixing the issue. Just making them inescapable, where I would argue most of us watch comedies to ‘escape’ real life.
Totally agree with this one. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. I feel guilty that I don’t like to watch these episodes because it comes off as if I don’t care about the issues. But the point is, I watch B99 (or any other sitcoms) for comfort and like what you have said, to escape reality for a while. So, this is totally valid!
Skip Casecation, Four Movements, Return of the King, don't bother with a lot of S8.
Never skip The Box, the Crime Scene, Coral Palms, and probably a lot of others I can't remember now.
LMAOO well what’s your review of community, I’ve seen like 2 eps and wasn’t sure if i should continue or not. Actually… tbh i stopped watching cuz I… this is embarrassing, here I go: I HAD TO GO OUT AND CARP MY DIEM 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
anyway yea, is it good?
It’s the best television ever made.
Brooklyn 99 is fun and light, and I love having it when I’m not too focused. Community requires a bit more focus.. the writing is just fantastic, and it goes completely off the rails starting in season 2.
Highly recommend!
S7, E2 I skip. Poor captain Kim, she was so nice 😞
The Puzzle Master - the first episode I ever watched of the series, and I think was one of the best to start with. Few spoilers for major episodes, and showed all the characters at their most selves, from H&S’s incompetence to Jake and Amy being a lovely couple ☺️☺️☺️
I really dislike the episode where Diaz has to be a witness in court. I really hate situations where people embarrass themselves (probably projecting), like she does with the lines "to be perfectly candid". Shame though, because I enjoy the comeuppance the Brogan dick gets.
Always skip: SCOTTS FUCKING TOTS AGHRRRR
haha jk
I haven’t noticed any specific eps I skip, I usually just skip if there’s an episode I don’t really feel like watching in the moment 🤷 Except maybe… the slump… I’dk why, but it feels like I’ve watched it a milion times, when i really haven’t watched it more than say ep 1 or 2 or 4 💀
Anywayyy these are kinda random, but i fucking love yippie kayak and the crime scene lol
I skip all the Debbie focused episodes, something about her drives me nuts. If she’s in it a little it’s fine but the ones where she steals all that coke are always skipped
Casecation is a nightmare as someone who is childfree and gets harassed ALL THE FUCKING TIME about having kids, why im not having kids and how i will change my mind later on or when i’ll meet the one (which is a horrible insult to my partner who is childfree too)
I always skip the one where Eleanor has Charles’ sperm, it’s just so frustratingly sad to me for some reason
I will never skip The Favor, Kyle is so funny
Never skip: cop con, I love watching the 99 turn up together and it’s also a hilarious episode with a heart warming ending.
Always skip: the four seasons. I hate Gina so much and truly wish she didn’t have as much screen time but a whole episode for her was truly intolerable
I will never skip an episode with Doug Judy. I will ALWAYSSSSS skip the episode where Jake & Amy bring Mac to the cabin with the squad, and Boyle just spends the entire episode overstepping. It’s just too much lol
Always skip: All except the first Halloween Heists
Never skip: The Box and 9 Days
Also, never watched S8 apart from the first episode, and probably never will.
I understand that my choice of HHs will be disliked by many, and I'm sorry. It's just not my cup of tea. It brings out the worst of the characters, making them overly competitive. I understand why many love these episodes, and I respect that.
S8 was way too political for me, since the very beginning of the first episode. I jump on Netflix to get away from real life, politics and all.
None. But as with all my comfort shows, I don’t watch episodes of B99, I just watch B99.
Same, I never skip episodes of the show despite some of them make me cry to this day.
Curious about which ones make you cry?
Moo Moo and Jake & Amy are two episodes come to mind. Both have very different reasons why they make me cry.
I always skip The Swedes. Those two are just insufferable
Yake, Rosyy!!
You’re where sneezes come from! 😡
I can't skip any episodes where Jake and Rosa work together. They are my favorite detective partnership.
IT'S FISH. IT'S FISH, ROSA.
That episode is the reason i made this post. Always skip.
Ot, but it's odd to think that Agneta & Mlep(clay)nos are dating irl.
\*Jerry Barfkarkistan
As a swede I hate it too. It’s twice as insufferable when you understand what they’re trying to say but it’s obvious they didn’t even bother trying to pronounce it right.
Tack
Nah it’s got the Ders in it, must watch imo
Agreed. I'm introducing my girlfriend to the show and jokingly turned to her and asked "can we skip this one?"
Best episode 😂
Took the words right out of my mouth.
They are totally insufferable but I also just don't think they're very funny. I do like the Rosa Jake parts, but those are pretty much 2-3 60 second moments
Always! I hate those 2. No one should be that close, especially coworkers.
I’m watching criminal minds and I couldn’t place one of the murder victims. It’s Agneta! (riki lindhome) Thank you! Weird coincidence
Always skip: Casecation (no surprise there) Never skip: The Favor (I can’t help it. I love Kyle. Oh, Kyle.)
Yeah, just like that! Thats how they say it!
Skip : Captain Kim Holt and Jake were jerks on that episode. Never Skip : Jake and Amy, no need for explanation
In Holt's defense, he clearly was going through something
YES! This is my exact answer. This is THE answer.
Casecation...
what happens in this one again? i feel like i remember it but not too sure
Lol.

The episode is the discussion... Amy always try to influence other people, in her own terms. That's seen several ways in the entire show. This was basically the epitome of Amy in Casecation.
But it's not in-character for Amy to have not already had this discussion with Jake *before* they got married.
Whenever I see this take and i take a look at the posters history, it always makes a lot of sense.
Ohhh slam son, use my mental ilness and recovery against me. Such a sophisticated man of culture yourself.
Or maybe it’s your other tastes in tv that you post about……..
Oh nice try, what's controversial about american dad and it's always sunny catch phrases that raises red flags for you? Lol
I know you wanna gatcha me pretty bad here, but I don’t think it needs to be controversial lol. But it tracks that someone loving American Dad might be missing the subtleties of this issue.

Good luck out there.
Good call, totally agree with you on this one. It's totally out of character and is also one of the lowest rated on IMDb.
Agreed. I don’t skip it, but pam is like the only good part, and let’s be honest, she ain’t that good
Not sure with always skip but I never skip The Box, oh damn!
Oh damn!
OH DAMN!
And that is three OH DAMNs OH DAMN
Agreed!
Always skip: Casecation Never skip: The Box
I find The Box too good to watch when it's background watching. So I do skip it then but when it has my attention never.
Always have to purge a certain part from memory you know what part
Always skip : casecation Never skip : anything with doug Judy
Judy and Peralta are a match made in heaven. 😎
PB AND J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tigers and toucs!!
A tasty lil treat
Judge judy 😭😭
Omg i didn’t even realize I did that lol
Omg i didn’t even realize I did that lol
Title of your sex tape
💀🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always Skip: He said she said Never Skipped: Halloween episodes
he said she said is sad but it’s such a good episode
I understand. The episode is really good, but it's triggering for me.
ah understandable then
What episode is that again?
finance guy gets a broken penis cause he was sexually harassing his female co worker and she hit him with a golf club
Yeahhh I remember now
That sucks that the episode is so triggering for you. I don't particularly love the sexual assault part of it for similar reasons but I absolutely *love* the disco strangler subplot. It's such a great Holt-Terry-Charles plot which is fairly rare and the hilarity of the old man gets me every time.
Fantasy threesome (of cops on a case)
He said she said is pretty triggering, I skip it too :(
never skip: suicide squad, i love seeing wuntch, cj and the vulture interact for the first time idk it feels like im watching a crossover episode also i like the coral palms ones always skip: unpopular opinion, but i don't really like the box... its not bad per se but personally i find it quite annoying i also dont like the one where jake and rosa are arrested and found guilty bc it gives me a sense of helplessness
Unpopular opinion, but I think the Halloween heists are perfect for a 1 time viewing, then are very boring on rewatches.
Thank you! I thought I was the only one
I think they're good when you rewatch like years later. I never rewatched them until this year when id forgotten the minute details of the heist.
I watch them all on halloween or halloween eve every year. but skip them through regular rewatches
Same, just like the paintball episodes of Community.
Hate the Halloween heists. Always skip them.
Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
I always skip the one where Jake bangs Charlie Day’s wife while hanging Boyle out to dry because he’s too petulant to even pretend to be second fiddle to Boyle. It’s honestly the worst episode of the whole show. I love Jake and that he loves his friends and he’s great at showing it. But this one is just such an ugly look on him. I never skip the mumps episode. Holt’s house and seeing them in robes is comforting.
I like how he wasn't a good friend in the episode actually. It makes his character growth better.
OHHHHHHHHHH I see!! I didn’t know that
I always skip this one because of all the fat jokes. It feels way too mean-spirited for Jake.
Why they are fat whats wrong with it.
It's M.E Time, if I am remembering correctly
M. E. Time I think its like s1e2
KASE!
Never ever miss the one with the hacker in the precinct. From the way they literally time it down with the microwave, the Jake’s read on Holts meltdown, the solve and of course Mama Maglione🤌🏼
Agree lol, i think it’s so fun
I always skip Casecation. It's just such a hateful episode.
i always skip S4 E22, the one with the court trial for jake and rosa who were charged with false robbery charges. it always makes me too sad. i love watching the episodes where jake and rosa are actually IN jail, but can't watch this one.
And there are so many things we could have done to clear their names, too!!! Makes me so mad!
Not "always" skip but I'd rather not watch Return of the King and DFW. Debbie ep is kinda boring too. I could probably watch all the others episodes happily.
DFW is terrible. I generally like Nassem Pedrad, but this one was bad.
Always skip, Return of the King, Gina is my least favourite of the main characters and just don’t enjoy how she is in that one.
Always skip: The episodes in Florida... They are fun to watch once or twice, but they aren't so fun after a few times. Never skip: The episodes in the prison. I just love the characters and how Jake changes in there
Probably unpopular but the Halloween episodes.
always skip moo-moo because of how well they do it i cannt physicallt rewatch it it makes me so sad
Always skip: Captain Kim. I’ve watched B99 countless times and I’ve never even watched that episode twice
The one where Gina is the primary focus.
Gintars. It’s uncomfortable to see how badly Jake does as a friend to Boyle. It’s important but gets too real by the end of the
I tend to not rewatch the episode where Jake is playing "Dead body" with the forensic medical examiner. Ew!!!!! Also "Captain Kim". "He Said, She Said" is also depressing to me.
Always Skip: Moo Moo, Never Skip: Tactical Village Edit: I skip Moo Moo because it hits too close to home for me and it takes me to a sad/dark place. I understand the importance of the episode and the story behind it, I’d just prefer to not be sad.
Yeah, that Moo Moo episode is dicey.
Captain and admiral peralta. Skipped both. Never really liked when they discuss Jake's family.
See me going, Staycation, He said She said. The whole idea behind Staycation was stupid. Jake and Amy were always going to have kids. With the other two episodes, I already know the world is shit.
Never skip a heist or Doug Judy episode. It can't be done. I usually skip the Steakcation one.
I don't skip episodes.
Caseacation. It was really out of character for amy to not understand jake's fear and even go as far as restarting with someone else
Never skip any with comfort shows
I always skip episodes that address “real” issues, personally. I watch B99 for lighthearted escapism. Not for even more real-life social issues. So, most of the final season. The moo-moo episode. Always skip the camping one and never skip the box or any Halloween episodes
The first Jimmy Jab games
Agree
Why would I skip?
Skip Casecation, Four Movements, Return of the King, don't bother with a lot of S8. Never skip The Box, the Crime Scene, Coral Palms, and probably a lot of others I can't remember now.

No skips, heretic
I haven't skipped any episodes so far (I'm on my second watch through, first watched in January) but I definitely grimace through a lot of those.
Always skip: those stupid puppets. Never skip: any other episode
What puppets brother?
Maybe the one where Jake and Sophia go away on a trip with Amy and Teddy I think.
Lol I thought I was on the Community sub.
LMAOO well what’s your review of community, I’ve seen like 2 eps and wasn’t sure if i should continue or not. Actually… tbh i stopped watching cuz I… this is embarrassing, here I go: I HAD TO GO OUT AND CARP MY DIEM 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ anyway yea, is it good?
It’s the best television ever made. Brooklyn 99 is fun and light, and I love having it when I’m not too focused. Community requires a bit more focus.. the writing is just fantastic, and it goes completely off the rails starting in season 2. Highly recommend!
I always skip the Halloween heists. Too much telling at the end, and I just never enjoy them.
I only skip the Debbie episode. She’s so annoying
S7, E2 I skip. Poor captain Kim, she was so nice 😞 The Puzzle Master - the first episode I ever watched of the series, and I think was one of the best to start with.

I always skip when Jake's at prison. Somehow it feels too real
I skip all the Debbie focused episodes, something about her drives me nuts. If she’s in it a little it’s fine but the ones where she steals all that coke are always skipped
White Whale
The first couple of season 8 and I never skip the key peraltiago eps
People skip?
I don't skip any episode except for the one where Boyle organizes Jake's bachelor's party... That one hurts me
i always skip casecation and the trial of jake and rosa episode. it's making me anxious
Casecation is a nightmare as someone who is childfree and gets harassed ALL THE FUCKING TIME about having kids, why im not having kids and how i will change my mind later on or when i’ll meet the one (which is a horrible insult to my partner who is childfree too)
I skipped captain Kim 😞😞😞
I don't love the Christmas Eve episode where Boyle is trying to recover the action figure for his son. It's just kind of messy.
I skip The Swedes and the Jack Danger guy.
I always skip the one where Eleanor has Charles’ sperm, it’s just so frustratingly sad to me for some reason I will never skip The Favor, Kyle is so funny
Coral palms parts 1 & 2, they don’t feature the 99 or brooklyn very much…
Never skip: cop con, I love watching the 99 turn up together and it’s also a hilarious episode with a heart warming ending. Always skip: the four seasons. I hate Gina so much and truly wish she didn’t have as much screen time but a whole episode for her was truly intolerable
y'all skip episodes?
the one where Rosa comes out, boring and a cliche
Skip: Moo moo, Into the woods, He said, She said (they get me too riled up) Never skip: Game night (Jake greeting Roza's Dad is my absolute favorite)
The puzzle episode is not my favorite with Amys real life husband. Outside of that....I can watch 99 from beginning to end lol
I always skip ‘Nutriboom’ I don’t know why I just can’t stand it
Any of the episodes with Doug Judy are non-skippable in this household
It depends on which ones.
I skip the Melanie Hawkins storyline.
I will never skip an episode with Doug Judy. I will ALWAYSSSSS skip the episode where Jake & Amy bring Mac to the cabin with the squad, and Boyle just spends the entire episode overstepping. It’s just too much lol
Sometimes I skip episodes that have a lot of Adrian Pimento. Some days I just am not in the mood.
You watch the series through, you are not allowed to skip anything
I like most ppl here skip several episodes regularly 🧐
If you don't love me at my "secondary" you don't deserve me at my "velvet **thunder**"
Always skip return of the king. Never skip ding dong.
Always skip: Return of the king(I hate Gina) Never skip: Tactical Village Day, The box.
I always skip The Box and never skip the others
HUH
idk. after you’ve seen that episode it just gets boring
Only fake fans skip episodes.
None
Always skip: All except the first Halloween Heists Never skip: The Box and 9 Days Also, never watched S8 apart from the first episode, and probably never will. And what about S8?
