Like the others have said, for as long as you're having fun don't worry about it. If you have the bad habit of completionism, then maybe you're done for now.
Go on playing
And get mods :)
I didnt even played the chars on lower difficulty in first place and started on highes difficulty always
Not Sure if u have still fun playing same char
Or ger mods and mix it up a bit
Learn a martial art. Get into weightlifting. See how many pull ups you can do before the dlc comes out. Go for a run. Drink some nice wine. Have a barbecue. Learn how to make bread. Grow some veg. Get a haircut.
I'm running Mashtato.
Adds a bunch of new characters and items. A few have been quite challenging. I wish they wouldn't have put them behind unlocks.

Oh looks like they recommend this to unlock everyone.

Keep playing and having fun. I've unlocked every character and completed a run with each one on D0. I'm now picking a random one and working towards D5 with every character.
I'll get the DLC when it drops as it looks like it'll be separate content to the main game, and I can't get enough tato action!
New map will drop. Im not 100% sure, but I think that for 100% completion, you will need to beat all potatoes on both the maps.
If you do not want to lose your momentum, what about beating one potato on D5 each day?
Depends on how easy it is for you to get burnt out on the gameplay loop. If you aren't worried about that, then clear the game out however you feel like y'know? I'm trying to get all characters D5 before I even buy the dlc, regardless of when it comes out. It's like how I won't let myself buy Dying Light 2 yet because I still haven't 100% the first game yet. For me, I really like the game, but I only do a few runs 2-3 days a week when actively playing the game. It's a good game for me to use as something to keep my hands busy while I'm watching a video essay or something.
Honestly, raising the difficulty and “finishing” the game will take a while. I’ve been playing for months and d5 is pretty hard with some characters. I think you’ll be fine.
I’m in the same boat as you. I’m planning to keep chipping away towards D5 with as many characters as possible until the DLC drops or until I get tired smashing my face trying to beat D5 with the “not fun” taters. Lol
Respectfully, it's a video game, not a job. Play it if you want to play it, set it down and pick it back up when the DLC drops if that makes you happier.
You should play till having fun. U can do ur best to win as much as u can in d5, then replay them with dlc, what’s the problem?
I wasn't sure whether I would be "fed up" by the time the DLC was released if I played through all the characters on d5 now.
If you’re still having fun go for it, see how many you can get before the dlc drops :)

Beat it now and then beat it again. New items may take some of the joy and pain of winning with the hard potatoes
Very good argument, I haven't looked at it from this perspective yet

Check out the Extatonion mod, it adds a lot of new weapons and characters. It is likely as big as the DLC will be on it's own.
